I got this watch for my 40th Birthday. I have more expensive, showstopper watches, but I refuse to go a day without wearing this. You hit the nail on the head, there is nothing specifically amazing about this watch, but for some unknown reason, it wins the heart.
I am in love with this watch. I’m so happy that I ended up buying it.

The first review I ever saw of yours sometime last year was of the Hrudland Turbine. Loved the review! But the watch didn’t really do it for me. Fast forward many months later and my tastes have changed. Just got the Hrudland Turbine in today and WOW you weren’t kidding! Something special about this watch!! Hard to take my eyes off of it!
It is still one of my favourites in my collection.
It is amazing. I’m really happy that I’ve been able to spread the knowledge of it so others can enjoy it too.

A fantastic watch to pass down generation to generation . My grandfather used to say Tudor was the poor man’s Rolex but his 1959 Tudor Prince was his favorite watch out of his collection of watches that included Rolex,Omega ,Patek Philippe and Cartier. Sadly when he passed in 88 my grandmother sold his entire watch collection. My father and I would have loved to have just one of his watches to pass down. Tudor is definitely a watch on my wish list along with Rolex , Patek Philippe and Cartier but that’s what they are wishes lol even on the used market those watches are expensive. I hope your watch brings you happiness for many year . Have a wonderful week.

I’m in the exact same boat. I just picked up a blue 58 on eBay for 2500 because my wife loved it and the deal was there to be had. The blue is absolutely stunning. A great pick up for summer. Great video

It's true, and it helps that I've never seen anyone look good wearing the Pelagos, honestly. Not even David Beckham...it just looks too big. Cool watch, but just not attractive on the wrist.@@WATCHingJames

Great watch! I have the black version and it's probably my favorite watch. Only negative for me was the lack of adjustability. I couldn't get the perfect fit until I got a couple half links from Uncle Seiko. Now it's perfect. Enjoy!
That’s good that they do that. I was lucky and found the right fit for me.
I know you'll enjoy this watch. I saw that watch in a store window on vacation in October. It was after hours and the store was closed or i world have loved to go in and hold it in person.
This is definitely worth trying on. I’m a little shock how much more I like it over more expensive watches I’ve tried.
Congrats on getting the blue 58. Ive got the 41mm s and g on the bracelet and its a pretty thick watch. Ive got big wrists at 7.5 , so its fine on me, although it is a heavy piece. The 38mm is a tad small for me, so its a shame that they dont do it in a 41mm with a thinner profile . Luckily ive got a seiko sla043 so my blue watch diver is kind of covered. Its a tad under 40mm , and its about my limit size wise. I tried on the 39 pelagos, but i felt it a little small and lacked the charisma of the 42mm original. I would probably buy the blue fxd today if it had spring bars , and a quality bracelet like the pelagos. Fixed lugs and only natos is a bit limited imo. Its a shame more companies dont offer their models in at least 3 size options , so everyone can enjoy them.
I know. More options would be nice. Christopher Ward does well with those size options. One of the reasons I like them.
I had the chance to try in a bunch of other Tudor models too. They are all very nice.
Having seen this beauty, I have to say, it's even more impressive in the flesh. Video doesn't do it justice. Jealous as!

It is beautiful. Having that money available that I did not spend on my “grail” has let me buy a few nicer watches.
Got this one used as well so was slightly more reasonably priced.

You and gorn can say what you will, but the community widely regards Tudor as a brand that offers great value. And that’s an objective fact, not a subjective opinion.

Because I did not buy that grail I had some cash to burn hahahaha. Just spent the last of it today on a used IWC 😳😳😳😳. Now officially watch broke.

I have a perfect fit on my OG BB58 and prefer the smaller clasp.
I own the exact same watch. It’s fantastic! I seldom wear my Submariner or Yachtmaster any more because of it.
I continue to be impressed by it. It is one of my favourites I’ve owned or even experienced.

Perhaps it's my OCD acting up, but it really bothers me that the black version has the red lume pip, but the blue version does not have a distinctively-colored lume pip. That blue version is very nice, but it needs a pop of color on it somewhere.

@@WATCHingJames Absolutely. From the unboxing experience to the watch itself. I will say that it is definitely a subtle leg up over homage watches and lower price tier Swiss pieces. I think the movement is around good, but not quite to the same level as the SD 5R66A piece I recently sold (worth much less), or the 5-day chronometer BR-18 in a Brellum Wyvern I own.
Finishing on the case and bracelet is on par with Brellum and my one Frédérique Constant piece (all three are finished to near perfection). But the Tudor design and their use of all the different elements create a watch that is well worth its value whether at retail or grey market. Probably the best watch money can buy in the last few years in all honesty. It's attainable to most people and is as much watch as one could want.
I really like Tudor as a brand. They offer a similar experience to Rolex, but at a price-point that can serve far more people.
I'm more interested about that yellow item on the shelf behind you. What is that?

I wanted the black BB but I have over 20cm wrists and it did not look right . I will wait for a slim 41 in black and gold .
It is definitely getting a lot of wrist time.
I tried on almost their entire range.
I did not feel that the bigger models were particularly slab sided.
At least. Not as much as everyone talks about.
Now the new bb41 monochrome has been released, arguably the Tudor submariner , do you have any regrets getting the bb58 ? Will you stick or twist ?
No regrets. Love the 58s size. The new one does look good however.
Another lovely watch James. Wear it with pride my friend :)...on a side note, that shade of blue just cant seem to be replicated. the blue homages by SM are just too light and it takes everything away from the watch. There is something about that blue that oozes quality...in my eyes anyway haha!
It really is a special blue. The camera also does not capture it properly.
It is a watch to see in real life.
How’s it compare to the Christopher Ward Trident diver?
It is a step up. But not a big step up.

It was hyped to death a couple of years ago, many people bought on the back of that. Looks like there’s quite few available pre-owned now.
Unfortunately for Tudor, people who know about watches but not obsessive enthusiasts, just see them still as the poor man’s Rolex substitute.
How do you compare it to such as Christopher Ward, which you have experience of? Is it noticeabley better quality at 3 times the price?

There is a step up from the CW. Which actually surprised me.
Not a huge step.
Bezel action, polishing and bracelet are the main differences.
But not convinced it’s 3 times better.
Interesting to hear, ta. I haven’t held either in hand, for different reasons, but on film CW do seem very nicely finished, so if the Tudor is a step up, that is impressive.

Thoughts on how slab sided it is? Too much? Just right? Personally always found the older Tudor subs ratio between bezel, mid case and case back on the side profile to be more balanced. Can’t understand why a lot of people rave about this slab sided, thin bezeled thing. Slim on paper, but not in the metal.

A lot. I love the SM. But there is a big jump in finishing.
However I’m Not sure it’s 20 times as good as the price would suggest.
