This sounds unbelievable, bud. I'm stunned you're pulling that kind of tight, percussive, mids from a 20w head like that. ALL your tones are spectacular, but they're usually coming out of a $4K-5K head. As usual, this is the best demo of this head on RUclips. If the warm channel on that amp is as warm as the cleans on my Little Sister, I'll probably trade it in for one of these. Soooooo killer, brother. And, you're right, Wampler owes you a friendly salute, if nothing else, on that Tumnus, that's definitely why I got mine! Incredibly well done 👍

Thanks for the kind words brother!! I feel like it is a really good tone, in the room the Wizard with that MTN -10 pedal is Amaaaazing! That pedal did not pair with the Jake very welly. Have a great New years!!

@@cragginshred Happy New Year to you as well, Don! Hope your Christmas was veyr merry, as well. You know, I've been following you for what seems like a couple of years now, and IMHO the most interesting part of all you videos are the tones you're able to pull out of the more affordable amps. I know I'll probably never own a Wizard, SLO 100, Kitchen Sink, etc... And, I decided to sacrifice my SLO 30 for recording gear. So, hearing tones of this caliber is aspiring to us, mere mortals.🙏 If I heard you right it sounds like you've got a gig for New Year's. You don't need me to tell you this, but I'll say it anyway... Be safe coming and going out there, bud. I remember MANY-a-New Year's-gigs, driving home after a load-out, watching a LOT of people stumble to their cards, and attempt to drive home. Bring in the New Year with everyone happy, healthy, and inspired, my friend. 👍

@cragginshred yeah I have the sat switch on too..sd1, plumes, ocd. Plumes is probably my favorite but I need something with tight knob. I'll definitely be getting the buxom boost!

I do get the concept. I use a fromel eq in my loop either to dial in my live tone or specifically for leads. I guess if your using it for leads the added mids make sense of that's where you need to be to cut through, but if your using it as an always on pedal at least for me, too much mids can detract from Rythmn tone. I have the pedal and for the most part I have it set similarly (a little more high end because the TS and SB aren't as bright as the JEL) but try the mids knob at 9 o'clock if your using it for always on rather than leads. My 02 cents worth but again I'm not using the same amp and probably not the same speaker. Been thinking about the JEL but I think it would be too close to my SB.

I too am interested in the JEL but have a small box that I'm very happy with. Not sure there is enough difference between them to spend almost 2K. but I still might do it. Maybe the SLO-30 instead :)

Hey great vid. I’m going to try this in a couple of days. Do u rec any eq and presences settings when using channel 1 as rhym crunch and channel 2 as boosted lead? I’ve read some people use either or channel and I need a boost for leads during rehearsals. Plus what speakers are u using in this vid? Sounds killer esp with that buxom!
Oh and if I showed up with a 4x12 to a gig I’d prob be turned around at the door xD

Thanks, just experiment but in general I like mids to cut in the mix and never run the bass over noon for the same reason. We play a lot of outdoor gigs so a 4x12 is great in that setting. Smaller rooms I just use my FM3 to house PA. Good luck and knock em dead!

Turn the mids down on the pedal. All the way to the left is neutral.
