You are my man, dude! I totally love that diversity of songs. Kiss'ish Starbreaker, thrash-metall'ic Dissident Aggressor, controversial Raw Deal, tragic Here Come the Tears.....
I grew up on Maiden, so I had a lot of catching up to with Priest. First album I heard was Ram It Down, which I think is harshly viewed. The title track, Hard as Iron, Blood Red Skies, I'm a Rocker and Monsters Of Rock are great tunes.
Ram it Down is the ''Runt'' of the litter to those who just agree, to be cool! It is a great album and does not deserve the Shit it receives in the comment sections. They will be saying the mid 80's maiden period was Hair Metal next!
You've got to be kidding. Those songs are the lamest on what is admittedly a lame album of rejected Turbo songs picked up off the cutting room floor. "Come And Get It" is the ONLY song off of that piece of crap album that even deserved to be recorded.

Growing up in the late 70's/80's Judas Priest were always in the background, the day I went to a friends house and saw the cover of Painkiller in the 90's, then listened to it. SOLD. The drum intro on the title track, the whole album brilliantly produced.
Nostradamus is a masterpiece. I think the problem for most people is that it’s a very long listen and it’s not an album that stands up in pieces. I would suggest that if one wants to know which Priest lps define The band would be to listen to both British Steel ( Metal Gods , Living After Midnight etc) ... & Defenders Of The Faith...( Rock Hard,Ride Free ,The anthem Heavy Duty etc).... We have different opinions & I respect that fact
Painkiller is great, but when I think of Priest I think of Screaming for Vengeance, Defenders, Sad Wings/ Stained Class. Any of those 4 could be Legend.

I agree. I don’t have a favorite. I have a big3. British Steel, Defenders and Painkiller(if I went 4, screaming). I’m 46, I hated most of Turbo, and then saw the Johnny b Goode video and I assumed they were done. Then as I’m getting a Tatoo, painkiller is playing, and I asked who’s this band that’s got a guy that sounds like Halford. I about shit when I heard it was them. For the kids my ass.
But in 1990 you were a kid, so i'm guessing Painkiller would have been your first Priest album? I started listening to Priest in 85 and had heard all but Rock a Rolla by the time Painkiller was released. Its an awesome album no doubt and it saved them as they appeared lost and burned out..... But to an oldschool fan its not regarded as their best work.....because they had 9 albums before it..... I would put it in my top 4 though.
My dad is currently 49 so at the time of Painkiller, he was 21. He was already a diehard JP fan since his teen years. His personal favorite is Defenders of the Faith but Painkiller is a damn close second for him. He did state that when Painkiller came out, he didn't know what to make of it because he didn't hear anything like it. He revisited around 1993 or 1994 and he fell in love with it and played it A LOT! (this I clearly remember).
Though I've created a list of my favorite Priest albums in order many times, I've always been consistent with my reflections on "Painkiller". That album was a reactionary album, due to what was popular at the time, thrash. "Turbo" and "Ram It Down" were reactionary to what was going on at the time, glam. The problem with all three of these albums; Judas Priest were the followers, versus that of being the trendsetters. It doesn't mean that there aren't good songs off all three of these albums, but it wasn't Judas Priest. I was 19 when the album came out and pretty impressionable. I very rarely questioned the integrity behind the direction a band took, as I just soaked it all in. Having said that, even though I respected the musicianship across the board from all members (especially with the addition of Scott Travis) and Halford's shrieks and screams, "I" had a disconnect with this record. My 19 year old self, couldn't articulate what my misgivings were regarding this record. At some point I could and they've remained consistent to this day. When you talk about the annals of metal music and Priest, it's not a record that strikes an accord with me. It's basically a band trying to re-stake their claim, by gravy training off thrash (which was at its pinnacle in 1990): Death Angel - Act III, Slayer - Seasons In the Abyss, Megadeth - Rust In Peace, Testament - Souls of Black, Exodus - Impact Is imminent, etc...
Screaming , British Steel , Defenders , PainKiller are my must haves !! The rest all have their place but these 4 are Deserted Island Priest you want imo . Extra credit for Ram it Down very underappreciated imo
1.Screaming For Vengeance 2.Defenders Of The Faith 3.Sad Wings Of Destiny 4.Killing Machine 5.Painkiller 6.British Steel 7.Sin After Sin 8.Ram It Down 9.Point Of Entry 10.Stained Class 11.Turbo Haven't listened to the rest
Progger_Frogger I don't think the production is perfect on either album, but I'd still take defenders over screaming...just my opinion. Freewheel burning, jawbreaker, and the sentinel alone crush most of screaming for vengeance imo.
Paul Seidler I do love Sentinel especially, but Electric Eye and Another Thing Comin' are two songs that got me into metal so they have a ton of nostalgia. I picked up guitar just to learn those two songs.
After watching this, I decided to listen to all of the Priest albums in order. Screaming used to be my fave, but now I gotta’ say Defenders of the Faith is the best Priest album. Every song is effing outstanding. So here’s my list. 1. Defenders of the Faith 2. Screaming for Vengeance 3. Painkiller
my top 5 studio album : 1/killing machine (1978) 2/unleashed in the east (1979) :) 3/sad wings of destiny (1976) 4/stained class (1978) 5/defenders of the faith (1984)
This show was so awesome to watch. Priest is my favorite band. I can understand why Painkiller was voted the legend. It was not only a return to form, but also a step up in terms of technicality via Scott. I remember a couple of death metal guys hearing this for the first time saying, "Hm. This is Priest? Not bad." LOL My favorite is Defenders. There's more filler than Screaming, but Freewheel Burning, The Sentinel and Some Heads Are Gonna Roll more than made up for it. Production is similar to SFV. It's a perfect complement to SFV, too. I think The Sentinel might be the best song they ever recorded. A lot of people don't like Turbo, but that tour was amazing. They were at the top of their game. Halford had so much more energy and charisma. At least that's what I remember. :) Thanks again for a great week! Top notch.
1- Defenders of the faith 2- Screaming for vengeance 3- Stained class 4. Painkiller 5. Sad wings of destiny 6. Firepower btw the top six are 10/10 albums 7. Killing machine 8. Redeemer of souls 9. Sin after sin 10. British steel 11. Angle of retribution And now for the stinkers 12. Turbo 13. Jugulator 14. Point of entry 15. Ram it down 16. Nosradamus 17. Demolition
Importance for the band (and the genre maybe): 1) Brittish Steel 2) SFV 3) Painkiller 4) Sad Wings of Destiny Most Quality to offer imo: 1) Killing Machine 2) SFV 3) Sad Wings of Destiny 4) Sin after Sin 5) Stained Class
I had to think very long and hard about this one...changed my mind and reorganized the list 6 or 7 dozen times. 5. Sin After Sin (Almost went with Sad Wings of Destiny at #5, very hard decision) 4. Defenders of the Faith (This would be a lot higher if the 2nd half of the album was anywhere near as great as the 1st half) 3. Screaming for Vengeance 2. Stained Class 1. Painkiller (This is actually my favorite metal album so this part was at least easy lol)
I like the new format, with fan poll, expert commentary/opinions, and audience input. Prior to identifying the 'Legend' i think it would've been useful to define what is legenday. I think one of your audience noted, favourite and legendary can be different. My favourite is Painkiller, but i am convinced by the arguments for the earlier albums. To aid in themore subjective analyses, i suggest you develop a more defined framework/criteria for discussion. Thank you for your continued contributions to metal culture.
I really enjoyed the episode...the discussion was mature, insightful and educational. Admittedly, I am not the most die-hard Priest fan, but I do own a lot of their catalog. Although I own it, I will have to revisit 'Sad Wings...' and view it in a new frame of mind. However, I am absolutely stupefied about the negativity surrounding 'Point Of Entry.' For me, that album embodies accessible Heavy Metal Music without "selling out" in the same way that 'Turbo' is viewed...but the general consensus is that 'Turbo' gets greater accolades than 'Point...' Like I need to do with 'Sad Wings...', I implore everyone to revisit 'Point Of Entry.' I think many a person will find a really great album that needs to be in the conversation as some of their best work. Personally, I don't think there is a single dud on the album, but my highlights include: 'Heading Out To The Highway,' 'Don't Go,' 'Desert Plains,' 'Solar Angels' and 'All The Way.' ...I hope someone out there feels the same way!
Mostly the ones I grew up in the 80s and 90s but Firepower is awesome, 1. Painkiller 2. Screaming for Vengeance 3. Ram it Down 4. Defenders of the Faith 5. Firepower
18. Ram It Down 17. Demolition 16. Point Of Entry 15. Jugulator 14. Nostradamus 13. Rocka Rolla 12. Turbo 11. Angel Of Retribution 10. Redeemer Of Souls 9. Firepower 8. British Steel 7. Hell Bent For Leather 6. Defenders Of The Faith 5. Stained Class 4. Sin After Sin 3. Screaming For Vengeance 2. Painkiller 1. Sad Wings Of Destiny
1. Defenders of the Faith/ 2. Sad Wings of Destiny/ 3. Killing Machine/ 4.Screaming for Vengeance/ 5.Stained Class / 6. British Steel/ 7.Painkiller / 8. Sin after Sin/ 9. Firepower/ 10.Angel of Retribution/ 11. Rocka Rolla/ 12. Redeemer of Souls/ 13. Ram it Down/ 14. Turbo/ 15 Point of Entry/16. Demolition/ 17. Jugulator/ 18. Nostradamus
The top five essential Judas Priest albums are 1. stained class - 2. sad wings of destiny 3. Sin after sin 4. killing machine - 5. pain killer and Nostradamus is very easily number six yes Nostradamus is very essential Nostradamus is amazing yes I shall stand up for Nostradamus because it’s a classic legendary masterpiece in my humble opinion anybody who does not like Nostradamus is crazy
1. Painkiller 2. Stained Class 3. Defenders of the Faith 4. Sad Wings of Destiny 5. British Steel 6. Sin after Sin 7. Hell Bent for Leather 8. Screaming for Vengeance 9. Firepower 10. Angel of Retribution 11. Jugulator 12. Nostradamus 13. Turbo 14. Redeemer of Souls 15. Ram it Down 16. Rocks Rolla 17. Point of Entry 18. Demolition
1.Defenders of the faith 2. Sad Wings 3. Screaming for Vengeance 4. Painkiller 5. British steel I agree with Martin Priests run from 76-90 overall is amazing with so many great albums in that time, even the troughs aren’t that bad.
Nostradamus does have its fans, if it didn’t come out under the Judas Priest banner it would have a better reputation. The band even told everyone beforehand that it wouldn’t be for traditional fans.
I still have so fresh that memory, the day that painkiller cames out. Maiden was my band in that time. Painkiller changes everything to me and my metal friends. It was really huge thing for the movement. British steel, still playing more in my Hi-fi, but painkiller still being the best work of the GODS of HEAVY METAL
As an 80's teen i remember my friend jamming out to Sad Wings of destiny all the time, especially the song Island of Domination, he completely freaked out about that song
I actually agree with that top 5 in any order and I've been a fan since 1981. My fav is probably Unleashed in the east (obviously a live album). And if Ram it down or Turbo were done by any other band they would be classics, that's how good these guys are.
Can't help thinking that they hardly mentioned defenders of the faith in my mind the best album they did in the 80's freewheel burning!!!!!!! Come on!!!!!!
What an awesome video. Can talk and listen about Judas Priest for hours! The top 5 essential albums were well done, represents different aspects of Priest. My top 5 would be Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin After Sin, Redeemer of Souls, Firepower and British Steel.
Painkiller makes sense because my bet is that the younger fans that watch Banger this might have been their first record they bought, heard from Judas Priest.
I'm not going to order my 5 best to worst, but by how frequently I play them: Defenders of the Faith Stained Class Screaming for Vengeance Painkiller Sad Wings of Destiny There is dozens more songs not from my 5 that i absolutely adore. Great video Banger crew, loved it!
My top albums fron the METAL GODS JUDAS PRIEST: 1. DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH 2. Painkiller 3. British Steel 4. Screaming for Vengeance 5. Nostradamus. 6. Sad Wings of Destiny 7. Angel of Retribution 8. Killing Machine (Hell Bent for Leather) 9. Turbo 10. Ram it Down 11. Stained Class 12. Sin After Sin 13. Redeemer of Souls 14. Point of Entry 15. Rocka Rolla 16. Jugulator 17. Demolition have to hear more ,,,,,but is right now in top #10 Firepower
5) Defenders 4) Killing Machine 3) Stained Class 2) Screaming for Vengeance 1) Sad Wings It's clear the divisions of fav Priest, are stratified generationally. I was 13 when Sad Wings blew my mind open, and set the bar for my musical taste, the writing , and riffing, and Rob's stratospheric vocal, still elevates me to a higher plane, connected with timeless wisdom, raw honest emotion, and guitars growling, grinding, and shrieking their resonance into my soul. If I was 13 when I first heard PainKiller, would I hold the same reverence? Who can say? BTW, Top 5 is cruel, excluding Sin after Sin , and British Steel is an injustice.
Nice show. Good that you kept the running time to an hour but don't rush through it. There would be some interesting topics for Priest, like sound and production. Speaking of that: Check your microphones the next time. Sam was OK, Martin and Lisa were too loud and the sound over-saturated.
What is so shocking is how many various albums are people's favorite. From Sad Wings to Painkiller, somebody loves it the most. Picking five? Insane. I need twelve of these in my desert island shuffle. And that better include Unleashed in the East.
Loved Ram it Down! Jugulator was brutal loved it and Demolition was epic! Ripper is with out a doubt the greatest replacement any band could ever get and wish for,as did Iced Earth. He had Robs highs and even lower lows! Love owens.
His regular singing voice is not very good, but yes he could hit the high screams. Rob struggled with his mid level singing early on, but has mastered it since not being able to sing so high due to age.
Rockit Man Well, you do have a point...I think Sin After Sin had some real classics on It, but felt more like a transition album. I feel it was a step back from Sad Wings, and not as good as Stained Class. Still was a good album. I don't want too s hit on Painkiller, it was a good comeback album, but it's overrated by the young fans.
My top five Priests (essential or not): 1. Point Of Entry 2. Turbo 3. Screaming For Vengeance 4. Sad Wings Of Destiny 5. Sin After Sin (great drumming by Simon Philips!)
I was watching the last episode of the reaction serie and this thought came to my mind: "damn, why don't they make a lock horns episode about judas albums?" Few minutes later the show started: "Ah, papa Dunn always delivers!"
I really like Martin and how much knowledge she has. I don’t know that I’ve ever disagreed with him more than when he talks about screaming for vengeance. Obviously it just comes down to taste, but I don’t think there’s really much crap on screaming for vengeance at all. I can pretty much listen to it front to back without skipping anything.
Yes man, i agree! I am 27 and i am/was a big fan of Chucky. There was the song Bloodstained and that song sold me to the true metal(in that time Nu metal was the big thing)
Probably one of the harder ranking lists I've had to do considering Judas Priest doesn't have shit albums. 1. Screaming For Vengeance / Stained Class 2. Killing Machine 3. Sin After Sin 4. Sad Wings of Destiny 5. Firepower 6. Jugulator 7. Turbo 8. Painkiller 9. Defenders of The Faith 10. British Steel 11. Redeemer of Souls 12. Rocka Rolla 13. Ram It Down 14. Point of Entry 15. Angel of Retribution 16. Demolition 17. Nostradamus Yes, I'm aware I have weird taste. No I don't give a fuck if you disagree with my opinion. This is my ranking and I'm sticking with it.

6.British Steel
7.Sin After Sin
8.Ram It Down
9.Point Of Entry
10.Stained Class
11.Turbo
Haven't listened to the rest
Maiden must be done next.
With Martin Popoff
can't wait for the Maiden one
Probably Maiden is too commercial for Martin Popoff :-(
@@ironmaidenfan2144 there's no band more commercial than Judas Priest.
@@RushSwayer Really? I havent seen a fanboy with JP T-Shirt on in years, RushSwayer
Stained Class---best 70s Priest
Defenders of the Faith---best 80s
Painkiller---best Priest overall, one of the greatest metal albums ever!
I completely agree. I would add that Defenders is the best ever production wise.
Can't argue with that! Haven't heard the new one yet, so I would put Angel of Retribution as the best 00s album
Swap Defenders with Screaming and that's mine! I don't like the gated drums on Defenders. Leave that stuff to Phil Collins.
Progger_Frogger I don't think the production is perfect on either album, but I'd still take defenders over screaming...just my opinion. Freewheel burning, jawbreaker, and the sentinel alone crush most of screaming for vengeance imo.
Paul Seidler
I do love Sentinel especially, but Electric Eye and Another Thing Comin' are two songs that got me into metal so they have a ton of nostalgia. I picked up guitar just to learn those two songs.
Awesome debate guys! Prof. Poppoff - you certainly know your stuff!! Marshal here from Johannesburg | South Africa!! 🤘🏼
After watching this, I decided to listen to all of the Priest albums in order. Screaming used to be my fave, but now I gotta’ say Defenders of the Faith is the best Priest album. Every song is effing outstanding.
So here’s my list.
1. Defenders of the Faith
2. Screaming for Vengeance
3. Painkiller
Those are my top 3 favorites from Priest as well, but I like Painkiller more than Screaming for Vengeance, but all 3 albums are great
my top 5 studio album :
1/killing machine (1978)
2/unleashed in the east (1979) :)
3/sad wings of destiny (1976)
4/stained class (1978)
5/defenders of the faith (1984)
Me after that list: “*angrier than a critic*”
*Terrifying scream!”*
“*enraged and full of anger i’m half raged and half in wheals*”
1. Sin After Sin
2. Screaming For Vengeance
3. Sad Wings Of Destiny
4. Hell Bent For Leather
5. Defenders Of The Faith
1. Stained Class
2. Sad Wings Of Destiny
3. Sin After Sin
4. Screaming For Vengeance
5. Painkiller
This show was so awesome to watch. Priest is my favorite band. I can understand why Painkiller was voted the legend. It was not only a return to form, but also a step up in terms of technicality via Scott. I remember a couple of death metal guys hearing this for the first time saying, "Hm. This is Priest? Not bad." LOL
My favorite is Defenders.
Top notch.
1. Painkiller 2. Firepower 3. British Steel 4. Screaming for Vengeance 5. Stained Class. Firepower is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1- Defenders of the faith
2- Screaming for vengeance
3- Stained class
4. Painkiller
5. Sad wings of destiny
6. Firepower
btw the top six are 10/10 albums
7. Killing machine
8. Redeemer of souls
9. Sin after sin
10. British steel
11. Angle of retribution
And now for the stinkers
12. Turbo
13. Jugulator
14. Point of entry
15. Ram it down
16. Nosradamus
17. Demolition
Importance for the band (and the genre maybe):
1) Brittish Steel
2) SFV
3) Painkiller
4) Sad Wings of Destiny
Most Quality to offer imo:
1) Killing Machine
2) SFV
3) Sad Wings of Destiny
4) Sin after Sin
5) Stained Class
I had to think very long and hard about this one...changed my mind and reorganized the list 6 or 7 dozen times.
5. Sin After Sin (Almost went with Sad Wings of Destiny at #5, very hard decision)
4. Defenders of the Faith (This would be a lot higher if the 2nd half of the album was anywhere near as great as the 1st half)
3. Screaming for Vengeance
2. Stained Class
1. Painkiller (This is actually my favorite metal album so this part was at least easy lol)
1. Painkiller
2. Screaming for vengeance
3. Defenders of the faith
4. Turbo.
5. Angel of retribution
However, I am absolutely stupefied about the negativity surrounding 'Point Of Entry.' For me, that album embodies accessible Heavy Metal Music without "selling out" in the same way that 'Turbo' is viewed...but the general consensus is that 'Turbo' gets greater accolades than 'Point...'
Like I need to do with 'Sad Wings...', I implore everyone to revisit 'Point Of Entry.' I think many a person will find a really great album that needs to be in the conversation as some of their best work. Personally, I don't think there is a single dud on the album, but my highlights include: 'Heading Out To The Highway,' 'Don't Go,' 'Desert Plains,' 'Solar Angels' and 'All The Way.'
...I hope someone out there feels the same way!
Mostly the ones I grew up in the 80s and 90s but Firepower is awesome, 1. Painkiller 2. Screaming for Vengeance 3. Ram it Down 4. Defenders of the Faith 5. Firepower
18. Ram It Down
17. Demolition
16. Point Of Entry
15. Jugulator
14. Nostradamus
13. Rocka Rolla
12. Turbo
11. Angel Of Retribution
10. Redeemer Of Souls
9. Firepower
8. British Steel
7. Hell Bent For Leather
6. Defenders Of The Faith
5. Stained Class
4. Sin After Sin
3. Screaming For Vengeance
2. Painkiller
1. Sad Wings Of Destiny
Jugulator is in my top 10, had they removed some of the fillerish songs (Dead Meat, Decapitate) it could've been a lot stronger
Defenders..the sound, look, shit even the graphics .when it was still seen as a "threat" to listen to metal, go back to it over and over
Got my vote
Unleashed in the East was missing, even as a live album it should be considered one of JP’s most iconic albums
Nostradamus
Unleashed in the East is my all time favorite ,followed by Stained Class.
Great episode, thank you
Top 5 for me, in order: SWOD, Screaming, Painkiller, Hell Bent for Leather (aka, KM), Stained Class.
I liked Ram it Down a lot. It was the first album I ever heard of them and the Screaming right at the start had me by the nuts immediately
Stained Class, Defenders Of The Faith, Painkiller, Sad Wings Of Destiny, & Screaming For Vengeance.
Here’s mine: Screaming For Vengeance, 2. Stained Class, 3. Painkiller, 4. Defenders of the Faith, 5. Firepower/Sin After Sin

17. Point of Entry
18. Demolition
1.Defenders of the faith
2. Sad Wings
3. Screaming for Vengeance
4. Painkiller
5. British steel
I agree with Martin Priests run from 76-90 overall is amazing with so many great albums in that time, even the troughs aren’t that bad.
No Stained Class? Miserably failed list, it should be number one!
Great show...Watched it all the way through.
Great post!! Thank you!!
Actually it’s even better than that. It’s the best album they’ve every done!
There I said it. You bet I did.
I CAN'T CHOOSE! I'M JUMPING OUT A WINDOW! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
U have to choose Which window!
@@gamleskalle1 |:D :D loooool
Great stuff guys! Keep up the good work.
#5: British Steel
#4: Sad Wings of Destiny
#3: Defenders of the Faith
#2: Stained Class
#1: Screaming for Vengance
Goddamn, that was enjoyable! Live and international, no less. Well done.
Point of entry. My favorite 80s priest record. Great guitar tone. Great lyrics. Desert planes is awesome. Hot rocking.
Gary Lopez way to go man! BALLS!
Am I the only one bugged by Blayne's face on top of the board?
1. Stained Class
2. Defenders of the Faith
3. Painkiller
4. Ram it down
5. Firepower
I'm not going to order my 5 best to worst, but by how frequently I play them:
Defenders of the Faith
Stained Class
Screaming for Vengeance
Painkiller
Sad Wings of Destiny
There is dozens more songs not from my 5 that i absolutely adore. Great video Banger crew, loved it!
My top albums fron the METAL GODS JUDAS PRIEST:

6. Sad Wings of Destiny
7. Angel of Retribution
8. Killing Machine (Hell Bent for Leather)
9. Turbo

Damn good list.
5) Defenders
4) Killing Machine
3) Stained Class
2) Screaming for Vengeance
1) Sad Wings
It's clear the divisions of fav Priest, are stratified generationally.
1. Sad Wings of Destiny
2. Stained Class
3. Sin After Sin
4. Painkiller
5. Hell Bent for Leather
Glen Fricker is a huge Priest fan. Would've been cool to have him on this episode.
Sin after Sin, awsome drumming
Loved Ram it Down!
Jugulator was brutal loved it and Demolition was epic! Ripper is with out a doubt the greatest replacement any band could ever get and wish for,as did Iced Earth. He had Robs highs and even lower lows! Love owens.
I know this is way late to the video, but there's a live version of BLOOD RED SKIES thats absolutely awesome!!! Ram It Down is worth the listen!
His regular singing voice is not very good, but yes he could hit the high screams. Rob struggled with his mid level singing early on, but has mastered it since not being able to sing so high due to age.
The best metal debate utube out there. Martin is the Professor!!!!
5. Firepower
4. Sin After Sin
3. Defenders of the Faith
2. Screaming for vengeance
1. Pain Killer
How am I 25 minutes into this & Sin After Sin hasn't even fucking been mentioned!?
because they're too busy riding painkiller's nuts.
No shit. Officially my favorite JP album. Closely followed by Stained Class and Unleashed, then Sad Wings and Killing Machine.
bucky gloober
Sin After Sin is better than Painkiller....the younger fans like Painkiller because it's Heavy.
Rockit Man
Well, you do have a point...I think Sin After Sin had some real classics on It, but felt more like a transition album. I feel it was a step back from Sad Wings, and not as good as Stained Class. Still was a good album. I don't want too s hit on Painkiller, it was a good comeback album, but it's overrated by the young fans.
They are too busy loving on the arena rock non metal era with KM and BS.
Great video be cool to see u tackle Venom's essential albums next
My top five Priests (essential or not):
1. Point Of Entry
2. Turbo
3. Screaming For Vengeance
4. Sad Wings Of Destiny
5. Sin After Sin (great drumming by Simon Philips!)
1- Sad Wings..
2- Stained Class/ Sin After Sin
3- Killing Machine
4- Screaming/ Defenders
5- British Steel
My top 5:
1. Painkiller
2. Screaming For Vengeance
3. British Steel
4. Sad Wings Of Destiny
5. Angel of Retribution
I was watching the last episode of the reaction serie and this thought came to my mind: "damn, why don't they make a lock horns episode about judas albums?" Few minutes later the show started: "Ah, papa Dunn always delivers!"
Keep the faith!
Sad Wings of Destiny - Stained Class - Hell Bent For Leather- Screaming for Vengeance - Painkiller
I always thought that RAM IT DOWN was AWESOME 👌
I really like Martin and how much knowledge she has. I don’t know that I’ve ever disagreed with him more than when he talks about screaming for vengeance. Obviously it just comes down to taste, but I don’t think there’s really much crap on screaming for vengeance at all. I can pretty much listen to it front to back without skipping anything.
My top three Priest records are Ram It Down, Painkiller and British Steel - Judas Priest FOREVER 🤘🤘
Sin after sin is an essential listen. When it hits, it hits HARD
"Sad Wings Of Destiny " and "Sin After Sin " , their best albums . . .
Jugulator is just GREAT!for all the guys like me (
Yes man, i agree! I am 27 and i am/was a big fan of Chucky. There was the song Bloodstained and that song sold me to the true metal(in that time Nu metal was the big thing)
Probably one of the harder ranking lists I've had to do considering Judas Priest doesn't have shit albums.
1. Screaming For Vengeance / Stained Class
2. Killing Machine
3. Sin After Sin
4. Sad Wings of Destiny
5. Firepower
6. Jugulator
7. Turbo
8. Painkiller
9. Defenders of The Faith
10. British Steel
11. Redeemer of Souls
12. Rocka Rolla
13. Ram It Down
14. Point of Entry
15. Angel of Retribution
16. Demolition
17. Nostradamus
Yes, I'm aware I have weird taste. No I don't give a fuck if you disagree with my opinion. This is my ranking and I'm sticking with it.
