Tomii S Sonic Agreed! Props to Rob for doing that. In interviews with RUSH, Neil will occasionally and jokingly say that he's still called "the new guy." haha
These guys are so Metal... I mean, they are the only one always preaching metal and joking metal... They are Metal. They are proud of it ans show it. No other band relate personnaly and musically more to Metal than Judas Priest...
The thing I most like about bands like Judas Priest, Accept, Queen and such is they do NOT treat people or fans like the band is above them, they are all very down to earth and personable and seldom take themselves too seriously.. you wont find many acts today that have THAT class..
I've seen Judas Priest live 2x and I can confirm they take themselves seriously big time. They just come on stage and destroy the place big time with their volume set up to the max. They certainly don't screw around.
As I have seen them twice. '05 and '11. And they did take themselves quite seriously. Because when it comes to metal, put on a great show, and keep your metal face! \,,/
When Rob had his house in Arizona, I hung out around him(Through the band Surgical Steel) from 15-19(when he was in town). He's such a funny, sweet, wonderful, caring, amazing man!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rob says "having a shower and harmonizing with Doris Day. If there's anything fucking gayer than that, I don't know what is!" This is why Rob Halford is the greatest, most lovable homosexual man that ever walked the face of the Earth. He's REAL! Love the man.

These gentlemen are literally Music Gods, the fact that some mortal can just sit there and interview these gentleman is beyond anyone's comprehension as far as what they have done for Music.
For those of you that don't get the 'menswear' reference from Rob, it's a reference to 'Are You Being Served', a British sitcom run from 1972-1985 set in a department store. It was considered very outrageous at the time, and definitely not something you'd get away with now.
Richie Faulkner ended up playing in the band which has been widely influential for him and even inspired him to take up guitar. I can barely relate how happy the guy must feel.
Redeemer of Souls is an incredible album, Judas Priest are probably the best metal band of all time. Seriously what other band has ever been as good as Judas Priest for as long as they have?
MyGameplaying Actually, I believe Zep formed in '68, and the band we know as Judas Priest today didn't come together until around late '69 or '70. The original Judas Priest wasn't exactly the same band as the one that exists today, although they did share a common member. The Priest that's still going was first formed in 1970 as Freight, a power trio comprising K.K. Downing, Ian Hill, and John Ellis. So they're not quite as old as Led Zep, but they're definitely close! And it blows my mind that Glenn Tipton is older than Robert Plant!
That's because they still have an audience. They wouldn't still be going strong if nobody wanted to her their music or see them play live. I hope they tour again soon.
EyeCandyAthlete They will. The new album's due out in early 2017. I've unfortunately never had the chance to see them live yet, so I hope that they come to New England again this time around.
What a lovely bunch of blokes. I can't imagine an American metal band of their stature acting so humble and down to earth. 😁 The fact that they don't take themselves too seriously, is a really endearing quality. Multi millionaires, but you'd never think it.
I’m 55 yrs old.. I grew up with this...and just the other day I decided to listen to them again... omg. It got my blood moving...ended up with a 2 day marathon of Judas Priest including some guitar lesson videos.. I really feel bummed out I’m so old that we didn’t have RUclips to help learn how to play the cool guitar licks of the day... I would be a much better guitarist if we did. For sure... modern music isn’t the same,
I gave the album 9 out 10 after the second listen but.....adding the 5 extra songs I give 10 out 10. Snakebite is amazing. The last song of the 5 "never forget" is dedicade it to us...the fans, its a thank you from them to us, it make me cry a little, thank you guys. Its judas Priest, at least the are still making good music for us. THANK YOU JUDAS PRIEST
Saw Priest in 2015 for the first time in 27 years and they really ripped it up AND Richie was something else. That kid -- he's considerable younger than me -- can SHRED.
Rob Halford is always a great interview. The dude is funny as hell, witty, great sense of humor, humble and an all around down to earth man. Hell, all three of them are down to earth guys, seen them all in separate interviews. Glenn looks like Harry Dean Stanton in sun glasses and a blond wig.
When I clicked onto this interview, I wasn't expecting an "Are You Being Served" reference. But it just makes me love Judas Priest somehow more than I already do.
They still put on a great show. Mr Tipton didn't play that night, sadly. The singing was as the record. As a fan I would have liked to have seen KK Downing fill in. May God bless all the members of the band and thier families.
"Having a shower and harmonizing with Doris Day. If there's anything fucking gayer than that, I don't know what is" cracked me up. Chill dudes for the bonafide and deservedly named legends that they are.
Rocka Rolla is an awesome album of theirs, but they never perform any of the material from that record live, which is a shame, because, as Rob Halford said there is some very heavy material on it, such as “Dying to Meet You”, “Run of the Mill”, and “Cheater”. There are some other pieces of music on that record that round out the menu and showcase the band’s talent and versatility. I would like to see them perform some of the material live from that album. I would also really like to see Rob filling in for Dio with Black Sabbath, that would be a treat. Thank you for posting this video! Please have an excellent and awesome day! 🙂

BREAKING THE LAW!" Too funny! I don't think all metal bands are this all around entertaining, are they? These guys are awesome! Just awesome, and I feel blessed to have listened to them for my entire life. Wow.
This interview was from 6 years ago but you can see the near 4 year age gap between Glenn and Rob, also because Glenn was battling Parkinson's disease at that time (without public knowledge). Glenn looks way older than Rob here.
Glenn seems ill even then, back in 2014. I knew someone who took Parkinson's medication and they sounded slower and slurred speech a tad like he is. It is so sad, and he is such a wonderful guitarist.
When i was a teenager i was big into Priest i had British Steel and a couple tapes like Ram It Down,Sad Wings of Destiny,Sin After Sin those blew me away.
I love how Rob makes sure that Richie, doesn't get left out. Very thoughtful, amongst his many talents, he's also a nice guy!
Tomii S Sonic

You ever notice how laidback Priest always are in interviews? It's like they don't know they're Gods or something.
They've probably realised a long time ago. Would've gotten used to it by now.
Good point.
sirroxalot that's a good thing though they're not douchebags about it
sirroxalot they're just down to earth
They're still the laidback no bullshit working class Brummies at heart. They came from nothing so they never forgot where they came from.

Rob Halford has the best sense of humor of any metal or rock star I've ever seen. The man is hysterical.

Rob’s humility and respect is beautiful.
Strange, sudden realization: I've been a fan of Priest for almost 40 years, and this video is actually the first time I have heard Glenn speak.
He speaks in 1980, where glen sings a part in victim of changes

Halford is a very humble man and a kind person. He puts his heart in to metal.
He is. He really is very kind person so as Glenn & Richie 🙏👍
Rob's voice is so powerful, even speaking, that it makes other peoples diaphragms vibrate.
7:33 holy shit, Rob's impression of Christopher Lee is on point. RIP :(
Glenn speaks like Ozzy and Lemmy not moving the mouth at all
I doubt that he's high though.
what if he is dubbed.

i think he is dubbed
what a good voice actor he could be. His talent is making everyone think he is dubbed but its really just him talking.
Rob has this amazing energy and charisma :) love him.
