As an aside, I have lived 46 years in this world and I consider myself fairly well informed, but until I started watching these delightful fellows, I never knew that cover thingie was called a cloche.
Big fan of the channel. I'm a level 1 Master Sommelier. Wine aerators are useful with especially young tight wines or older ones that need lots of time to rest. A good example would be you want to drink a nice barolo a few years before it would normally be ready or opening a rioja grand reserva that would normally need 2 or 3 hours to decant.
I heard it, froze, went back, confirmed what I heard the first time, and I literally jumped out of bed. I love these guys more today than I did yesterday.
I've watched this video several times and I had never noticed "Cis or non-cis" (Probably because I have a difficult time catching things without subtitles and for that it just says [inaudible]) and that has made me love them even more.
The wine aerator actually does work depending on the wine, I have worked in bottle shops and wineries (and live in one of the wine regions in Aus) and have had wines made both better and worse using it. Love your channel!!
Okay! I'll admit, my husband and I own the silicone ice maker. It does work! The point is once you make the ice, you dump it into the removal cup part, and then continue making more ice. Once the cup part is filled up, it'll hold about 10 trays of ice. I do agree that the cubes are small and so they melt faster, which isn't ideal. Pros and cons, I guess.
Apron, as an apron: Primary purpose: -protect you and your clothes from the food and fire. Secondary purpose: -Protect your food from contamination by whatever the hell your clothes picked up. This one slides down and exposes you. Desired qualities: -ease of cleaning. (Full of pockets and bits, bottle opener might make it incompatible with washing machine if it doesn't come out easy.) -comfortable (multiple mentions of the weight.) As a beer holder, desired qualities: -practicality (check) -Thermal insulation: hold multiple beers at once between a warm human body and a lit barbecue or grill. Sigh.
That's what I said about the beer holders. I think this would work better for a surprise to the friends you invite over for a grill day. Wear this when they show up just to make them laugh.
Imma ba real, if someone invited me to barbeque and wore that thing, I'd leave. Would be less rude than whatever constant reaction I would have to it over the evening.
A numbers lock never kept me from riding my bike stone-drunk. So the only way of cutting yourself out is by randomizing the combination, and then you're locked out for good. Of course a friend could put in a number and not tell, but then it's him or her cutting you off.

I only recently began watching this channel, and I'll admit, roughly 80% of the reason I've kept returning is due to how cute James is, especially during those adorable moments where something catches his interest and his eyes light up like a kid at Christmas. The guy is like the human personification of a bunny, but hot. Also the reviews are cool, or whatever. (I kid, the rest of the things about this channel is great too.)

Y'all. We've gotta work on this volume thing. I'm finding myself being blasted with music when I turn the sound up enough to hear all the funny quips. Like the music at the end, for example. There were a few spots within the video as well. It just makes it so hard to watch while I'm getting ready in the morning or if I'm in the company of others whatsoever.

I can see the wine lock as useful in a home with young children. Children old enough to get their own simple snacks from the fridge but still comparatively young. You can put cleaners & things up out of reach, but wine is harder to store "safely".
Ughhh I wish this video had come out about three weeks ago. I just got a set of two Ice Genies as a gift and they are terrible. While they're in the freezer all the water runs out of the chambers and settles in the bottom so you end up with a giant puck of ice and no ice cubes. (I had to laugh at the cheap American swill beer in the apron, though. That was a nice touch.)
I knew what that wine aerator was, because my parents have one, and say it actually does work for day-old wines. Theirs is much smaller and simpler though....
I've been selling wine for over 12 years, and in my experience most (I'd say over 90%) wines do not improve by using an aerator or by decanting them. Actually, the wines people tend to decant (like older classical wines, say 10-20 year old Bordeaux etc) can be totally destroyed by decanting/aerating them (since overoxygenating them takes out a lot or even all of the fruit flavours). I advise to only decant or aerate a wine that's 'too young': so too much tannins, way to spicy, not enough fruit.

That apron would be pretty useful if you’re grilling outside. If you don’t have enough space next to the grill you’re going to not have what you need all the time. I could definitely see my brother or grandpa liking that as a gift!
Yea, I can see it working with a few tweaks. Make the straps broad and make them over the shoulder to be more comfortable with the extra weight. It would be better designed to hold salt, pepper, oil, spatula etc. rather than any drinks. This was definitely more designed for the man bro than to be utilitarian.
I actually think that Barry as well as James both can totally pull off that - what I like to call - "designer apron device" or "DAD" for short. Also I really enjoy your gadget-series and I adore the "pass it on"-series. But I'd love to see an ultimate battle again soon. Keep up the good work you guys! :D
i was looking at that ice genie a few days ago, absolute poop. space saving = instead of a tray, have a big tub with most of it full of air + poor amount of ice

Love the Milo videos. Oh, were there gadgets? Whatever. Note on combo locks: Easily defeated if you have 20 or so minutes alone w/item. Just quickly turn the numbers as if counting from 0-0-0 to 9-9-9. So, 001, 002, 003... I used to work in a luggage shop that did repairs, and that was how we opened customers' bags, when they'd forgotten combos.
The ice bucket one looks pretty good. I'd get that one out of everything here. That and the wine bottle lock. Lord knows I need to keep myself out of the red wine at home. :p Please give Milo pets from me!

I like the apron. I live in an apartment with little patio space. Therefore, I have to keep going back into the kitchen to get whatever I need to grill. That apron can hold all of it, especially the tools & the seasonings.
