I was pretty friggen proud of my country when the kaya came on screen and when he said we spread on bread or put it in pastries, I was like yassss, that's my childhood...
Funny, when I saw the marmalade I immediately thought: pork tenderloin. I usually buy a local seasonal pepper jam for this, but when not in season a marmalade will do nicely. It actually works great in a lot of things that you might use some syrup or sugar in.
You either love marmalade...or you don't. For me, I quite enjoy it with peanut butter. The sharp bitterness in the marmalade helps to tame the sweetness and richness of the peanut butter.
Jamie: no one under the age of 50 has bought a jar of marmalade for themselves Me: HEY HEY HEY! I've been eating orange marmalade since I read Paddington at the age of 6! 😛
I mean... I buy it for my parents for when they come visit, they use it one time and I then either have to eat marmelade on bread for a week after or it goes bad and just sits in my fridge for a month.
I enjoy watching the product review and the additional add on of actually using the product in some type of meal so we can see some practical use of it.
I really enjoyed this episode! I felt like I was on a journey of discovery with Barry and Jamie! The format was great: taste a new thing, try to identify flavours, brainstorm ideas to use it, and finally try it in / with a dish that Ben had prepared for them. I had so much fun, and I wasn’t even one of the people getting to eat the stuff! 😅 Thanks for another great video guys. 😊
I genuinely enjoyed this video a lot! Very interesting amnd fun, please do more of this! It can be about repurposing leftover jars of pesto, sun-dried tomatoes or other things you might have in your cupboards, or more of these (for me) newer types of spreads. Exploring new flavors is always amazing!
I love the way at about 5:31 Jamie got the forks and just gave up when Barry picked it up with his hand. That made me giggle. Also you know its good when Barry used your whole name
You know, I was going to argue his point, since I've been buying marmalade for myself since I was 18. But at sixteen my best friend told me I was basically a 60 year old in a teenager's body. Hmm...🤔

My favorite use for the coconut jam is to mix it with a light cream cheese to make a southeast asian flavored cake frosting. Give it a go, it's really nice.
My grandma gave me tiny pots of various jams and marmalades with various alcohol in them. I added it when I was cooking, I have a habit of adding honey instead of sugar. The marmalade was really good
Im 27yo and buy orange marmalade for chicken every so often. It was a recipe that was handed down to me but still really good. I also love using homemade cranberry jelly on turkey sandwiches. Its kinda like thanksgiving in one sandwich.
serena brown Lmao, what? “Hoes” and “Bro’s” can go either way. For acceptable uses of an apostrophe, one is "The marking as the plural of written items that are not words established in English orthography" for example "P's and Q's". Clearly "bro" and "ho" are not standard English, so making them plural via 's is acceptable. Here’s someone explaining it a bit better: “However, it is so because the word bro is the elided form of brother, like typo, porno or even zoo. Hence, the apostrophe makes more sense here with regard to the word being elided than with the - o ending, again compare with folios, videos, trios and cellos. Inflections in - s before a - o can lead to adding an - e- as with cargoes and volcanoes. I don't know if there is a strict rule for the -e- infix, but in the case of elided words it seems unnecessary. In the end dictionaries show bro can become bros in the plural. It might just be a matter of style or an orthography in transition. The beautiful thing about living languages, is that you take part in their making. So the choice is yours, I would say.” My phone just so happens to autocorrects bros to bro’s, so I kept it that way. Besides, this is RUclips. If you couldn’t understand what I was saying then you have bigger issues on your hands than a strangers use of apostrophes. Hope that helps!
Combining seeds with a grain gives a full protein. Whisky marmelade is pretty popular in Ireland. Good combos. Great with kippers, cottage cheese and brown bread.

I was pretty friggen proud of my country when the kaya came on screen and when he said we spread on bread or put it in pastries, I was like yassss, that's my childhood...
“That’s my spread movement” 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤣🤣🤣 Barry’s face.....AM DONE!!!!!!
And in that look was the knowledge that had him and Jamie not given him grief Ben wouldn't have said a thing.
It was genuinely heartwarming to hear the compliment Ben's cake like that. Just what I needed after a rough day.
I smiled so much when they revealed the pandan infused pancakes. Genius Ben. We love our pandan and kaya
2:05 why Ben is the cutest cinnamon roll EVER!
KAYA IS SO GOOOODD one of my fav spreads but how hav I never thought to put it on pancakes that looks heavenly
Should we try the pork? Jamie gets the forks while Barry goes straight in with his hands! Surprised that it wasn't the opposite...
I’m so grateful for these boys and so grateful they were able to keep working during the pandemic.
The wedding cake comment got me 😂
#Awkward
Yeah honestly that was so funny
I thought about wedding cake too and it was super awkward even for me
This show only gets better. I always get smarter finishing watching y’all. Great episode
6:11 Barry just name dropping Ben’s middle name then, eh?
Funny, when I saw the marmalade I immediately thought: pork tenderloin. I usually buy a local seasonal pepper jam for this, but when not in season a marmalade will do nicely. It actually works great in a lot of things that you might use some syrup or sugar in.
4:12 Well, excuse my 25 year old self sitting here eating my delicious toast and *marmalade!*
You either love marmalade...or you don't. For me, I quite enjoy it with peanut butter. The sharp bitterness in the marmalade helps to tame the sweetness and richness of the peanut butter.
I just love marmelade. Especially bitter sweet orange marmelade on a wholegrain slice of bread, or pumpernickel.
I've been binging these videos all day, they're so... relateable and wholesome.
Jamie looks like he's found religion when he sees those pancakes
Justin Montana 10:48
Kaya! Food of my people! My mom used to make it all the time. Best served on toast with butter and half-boiled eggs with soy sauce :)
Jamie: no one under the age of 50 has bought a jar of marmalade for themselves
Me: HEY HEY HEY! I've been eating orange marmalade since I read Paddington at the age of 6! 😛
😂 Sorry about that. Glad to be proven wrong though! LOLLL
Darkest Peru FTW!
I will forgive you... this time. Haha 😁
I actually prefer it or apple butter than other jellys or jams.
I mean... I buy it for my parents for when they come visit, they use it one time and I then either have to eat marmelade on bread for a week after or it goes bad and just sits in my fridge for a month.
I enjoy watching the product review and the additional add on of actually using the product in some type of meal so we can see some practical use of it.
Loving the videos, do you ever think you'll do a prentious drinks? Like specific rebrands of coke and such.
This is a great idea! I hope they do it.
Thanks for another great video guys. 😊
"I'm gooey in the middle, baby let me bake!"
I still miss it!
@@Student-jt4ht Fantastic tune.
Why have they stolen our song?!?!?!
@@Roushlamn Who do you reprensate?
Bass Trammel I am one of the fans who miss our opening song
mike's reaction to ben's nut spread during the fridge cam is priceless
It genuinely makes me smile when I see a new Sorted video in my sub box. Wednesday's and Sunday's are the best days!
James Davies yeah except im just waiting on a new pass it on where james dont got a runny tummy
Jamie: No one under the age of 50 has gone out and bought marmalade for themselves
Me: Looks at my 50 jars of marmalade...
I love the way at about 5:31 Jamie got the forks and just gave up when Barry picked it up with his hand. That made me giggle.
Also you know its good when Barry used your whole name
This is without a doubt one of my favorite channels. I not only learn a lot but find these guys hilarious and charming as well! :)
Agreed!
I am in my 20s and I have purposefully bought a jar of marmalade by myself. And I personally enjoy it thank you very much.
Okay, I’m 22 and eat marmalade. But then I’m also the grandma friend of my group so maybe Jamie’s thoughts are fair😂
😂
You know, I was going to argue his point, since I've been buying marmalade for myself since I was 18. But at sixteen my best friend told me I was basically a 60 year old in a teenager's body. Hmm...🤔
The wedding cake part was hilarious! 🤣
Ben!!!! U can't start a video with the world ..
"That is my nut spread"
Now i have to clean up the floor, from the drink i spit out..
LOLLLLL
At least they didn't dip sausage into it 😉
Because you delight most of your viewers, I immediately read the comments after the video...they are almost as fun as watching the video. Way to go guys!🤗💕
😊
Ben: "That's my spread movement" 🙋🏻♂️
Everyone Else: "Nah Don't do that... Please"
Jamie and Barry together ARE my inner monologue. …Godspeed.
"Start simple...quails egg". Fantastically normal.
I liked this video a lot! There's lots of spreads, jams, jellies, butters and pastes out there and these 5 are pretty nice! I would try them all!
I love how Ben’s brain works, that’s how I come up with weird combinations that work but I’ve never been able to articulate it to people...Thanks Ben ♥️
My favorite use for the coconut jam is to mix it with a light cream cheese to make a southeast asian flavored cake frosting. Give it a go, it's really nice.
Jamie : there is a lot of this & that
Ben: that’s my spread movement
Barry: oh don’t do that!.. please don’t spread it
My grandma gave me tiny pots of various jams and marmalades with various alcohol in them. I added it when I was cooking, I have a habit of adding honey instead of sugar. The marmalade was really good
Barry digging himself a hole with that cake remark xxx
Im 27yo and buy orange marmalade for chicken every so often. It was a recipe that was handed down to me but still really good.
I also love using homemade cranberry jelly on turkey sandwiches. Its kinda like thanksgiving in one sandwich.
Imagine being friends with the guy who made your wedding cake
more like imagine your friend made your wedding cake as friendship came first
TheBoos bro’s before hoes?
My mom & dad's friend made their wedding cake. A family friend made my brother's wedding cake. Is that uncommon? 🤔 Never thought about it 🤷♀️
@serena brown And I think that's pretty neat
serena brown Lmao, what? “Hoes” and “Bro’s” can go either way. For acceptable uses of an apostrophe, one is "The marking as the plural of written items that are not words established in English orthography" for example "P's and Q's".
Clearly "bro" and "ho" are not standard English, so making them plural via 's is acceptable.
Here’s someone explaining it a bit better:
“However, it is so because the word bro is the elided form of brother, like typo, porno or even zoo.
So the choice is yours, I would say.”
My phone just so happens to autocorrects bros to bro’s, so I kept it that way.
Loved the editing in this one.
Why thank you!
Barry vs. Jamie is the best way to watch Sortedfood. The reactions to each other is priceless 😂
"That's my nut spread." Ben is now just blatantly leaning into his character, and I love it!
27 year old Australian and I love my marmalade on scones, toast, or crumpets or sometimes I put a bit in boiling water and make like a marmalade tea.
I’m sorry but the zoom in on Jamie when he said “what a treat!” Gave me so much serotonin I had to watch it an extra 20 times just to soak in the happy hobbit vibes.

Hahaha, what a blooming fantastic comment! 😂
Oh this was FUN! I do love when I can try doing new things with a sauce or spread in the cupboard/fridge. It's fun, sometimes, just to test things out and see what happens, too.
"That's my spread movement"
Ben please!! 😂😂😂
Ooh that is interesting. Here in Czech republic we eat marmalade quite often. Breakfast without marmalade on bread is quite upsetting to me :D
'Nobody under the age of 50 has gone out and bought marmalade for themselves"
Jamie, Paddington would be very disappointed in you.
