Everyone: *looks around the kitchen for their oldest items*
Priya: so this is my dad..
I bet Brad STILL has something fermented older than that.
I dont mind. I'd like to be his son-in-law, actually.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
He doesn’t have an expiration date written on here... 😂😂
kinda weird for the taste test...
i love how the oldest thing in carla’s kitchen is SIXTEEN BLOODY YEARS OLD and the oldest thing in Chris’s kitchen hasn’t even expired yet
Elie R I tried thinking about my oldest thing and seriously this is a crappy time to do this challenge because some of us spent the first few weeks of quarantine being “productive” (we were so naive. I threw out a bunch of stuff I could’ve used!😆) and cleaned out our cabinets, closets, fridge, freezer, etc. I wouldn’t have much to show! Not complaining. Still love the video. Some of them had some shockingly old stuff.
Kimchi can be kept for nearly a decade. The fact that it’s near the expiration date is a sign it’s quite old. It’s fermented.
@@minakorocket I'm not 100% sure, but I'm 99.999% sure it's a "Sell By" date, not an expiration date. I bet that jar Chris is holding has only been in his refrigerator a few weeks.

Like a point'n'click adventure game, lol.
Andy being so scared of the breadcrumbs is the funniest thing ever
yeah i think the breadcrumbs were the safest thing to eat there it was not meat ,not a liguid or moist thing that could be easily affected by mold, its wasn't over a decade old,and it was prepackaged plus it was solid
Carla: The oldest thing in my kitchen is tomato paste that expired 16 years ago
Chris: The oldest thing in my kitchen doesn't expire for another month
Andy: 1-year-old breadcrumbs
Carla: 16-year-old tomato jam
evandl its jam, so it probably a LOT older than sixteen years, it just like expired 16 years ago

Kangakool it kinda makes sense, he seems very technical with everything he does in the kitchen. So going through and getting rid of potential expired items seem like something he would do.
Kangakool I wish I had my life together like that
He has a couple of boys, I imagine he has no trouble getting rid of food.
@@nosamnosam123 yeah, but going by what he's said about their eating habits, they seem pretty picky

Not surprising... historically, the preparation is geared towards keeping meat "good" for some time, in a fairly hot climate, without refrigeration. Stick that in a freezer and it's going to keep for years.
Meaty, saucy things do tend to freeze well and keep well in a freezer in general.
