I love that while this kitchen is aspirational, it also feels normal! It's a little messy, Claire talks about making certain choices because of budget, etc. It's refreshing!
now that claire has a new kitchen are we gunna get a new opening animation! i’d love to see it!
Oooo yes! In the same animation style, I hope but yes to this!
A new song is what she really needs.
Yeah especially since Dessert Person was the name of her last book and now she’s got another one lol
@@razrv3lc Dessert Person is a lifestyle. A way of being. A philosophy. It's so much more than a book title :)
"we try to keep the cats off the counter" cuts to petting the cat on the counter
I don't mind, humans are dirtier .
@@anakhanair_ I know people have gotten sick like that but I’m sure it’s gatta be a low ish percentage and people act like cat owners won’t clean a surface before cleaning
Cats on the countertop of a professional or home kitchen counter is a turn off for me.
Her kitchen is way cleaner than some ppls kitchens without pets
@@Scarlet-qg1xi Digging in the litter box and then walking all over the kitchen counters, no thanks lol
THE CABINETS ARE ILLUMINATED!!!!! That’s such a genius idea!
It’s actually pretty cool seeing chefs cooking on electric heat. Cooking seems to be SO oriented towards gas heat and cooking times and results are different on electric. It’s nice to see chefs getting their results without gas.
it's very rare to see a detailed overview of a professional's home kitchen, so I really appreciate this PS you should peer pressure your other pro cook friends to do kitchen tour vids
I am an interior designer and everything you did is amazing. You are right about knowing your kitchen and where things should go, what organizers you need, etc. A functional kitchen can still be beautiful. Love that you added some wood instead of doing all white! Great job Claire :)
I am an interior designer and everything she did is garbage
Hello, can I pleae ask you, as a designer, whats the material she chose for the counter tops? she said they're meant to look like poured concrete, but arent. do you know what material they are? thank you for your time!
the cat door is so cuuuute
“... passionate about this space...” I’m equally passionate about watching all the details of your space!! 😂
The little nook for sitting and writing/working on your laptop, candle going, that beautiful view out the window, and the cats behind you in their window perch... SO CUTE :')
I love how humble she is. As if we all didn’t just open RUclips, and stop everything to watch this video.
We love you Claire !!!!!
Exactly!
Oh great, now i want Claire to design and teach me how to organize my kitchen so perfectly like she does
The spooky and most likely cursed candle holder from the estate sale is my favorite feature.
This is literally one of my favorite kitchens. I feel like most kitchens are made for that aesthetic but not made actually cook in. Love
Very nice to see all the little touches that maximize space and efficiency. Anyone know what are the countertops made of? Claire made a point of saying they're non porous and super easy to clean and maintain but I didn't catch a material name.
I'd love to know as well!
Non porous means either quartz or some polymer, usually acrylic with something. Corian is a new popular one.
I came here to make this exact comment! What is the material of the countertops?!
I would guess quartz because it's non-porous, but she was price-conscious, so maybe not; maybe Corian or similar.
It’s quartz for sure.
for anyone else curious about the flashframe at 12:34, it's just black with 4 arrows pointing to nothing in particular
Damn, I'm glad I finally found a commenting mentioning that, I saw no other comments mentioning it at all, and I was starting to think I was hallucinating, even though I slowed the video down to see it more clearly. :P
Claire is just so down to earth and relatable, that's why we love her.
Claire is the best, v happy this is going so well for her. Wild to see all this come from her videos on BA in the before times.
I was just wondering if the kitchen tour video was gonna come, and long and behold, it arrives as Christmas gift! Thanks Claire and team!
Finally a kitchen renovation of a person who actually uses it!!!!! Thanks ❤
Love the tour! Lots of great ideas and things to think about for my kitchen. I did envision the trouble my son would have gotten into it at 10 months old with the knife drawer and oven controls on front. At that age, he took a container of cottage cheese out of the fridge, stood on it, and started to hook the top of a pot of boiling water using the pasta stirrer I’d left on the counter. Since then, I’m keenly aware of the other people in the kitchen with me and kick them out if I need to. My son is in college now, and is a great cook and baker. I no longer kick him out.
I love the reveal at 8:45 that Harris talks in third person
4:29 Whoa, iLOVE that local foods wheel that shows what's in season. Getting 1 immediately.
My younger daughter is at the start of her professional cooking journey and I’m giving her the NYT cookbook and an Elizabeth David cookbook for the holidays. It was fun to see them in your kitchen too! She got her current (dream) job in part because she spent the night before her interview reviewing her copy of Escoffier that my brother gave her a few years ago. I’m so glad you are in the world as a roll model for women cooks.
I smile at her reaction near the end, unsure if we enjoyed the video. If we watched 16 min in, yes, we did. Thank you for sharing a professional’s look into your home workspace and what works for you. Love the idea of having need-to-access condiments and resources at arm’s reach when cooking/baking. Thank you for sharing a look into your home!
So wonderful to get an even more detailed glimpse at how a chef's mind works when it comes to designing a kitchen for their needs. I love the balance of personal and practical - getting lots of inspiration. Thanks, Claire!
i always tell my wife that my dream house priorities are a book corner and a nice well planned kitchen. your kitchen is absolutely a dream, i'm so in love with all the little details and how you were able to plan and cater to your family's needs. super inspiring 😍
I stand corrected - the cat door is my favorite feature.
That corner cabinet pull out situation is one of the best things I have ever seen! Lovely kitchen and thank you for the in-depth tour.
I really appreciate that they didn't overly-manicure everything, it's real and practical and well-organised in a way anyone could achieve. Although I can appreciate the design of kitchens styled to be on TV, it doesn't really seem like anyone's made to cook in it because it's so staged and the placement of things and sometimes even the containers don't make sense, because they're for show only. Thanks for this intimate inside look, Claire + co!
I just love that as Claire pets Felix at 2:40, you can clearly see that Felix’s white moustache perfectly matches the way the white streak in Claire’s hair is parted. I love that so much. 😂
I need Claire to go through her baking stuff, maybe a part 2?
Thank you Claire! So inspiring! I love that you make this all about you and your partners passion for food.
Loved seeing the details! So inviting and homey- really nice! Enjoy!
between the cat door and cabbage mugs the personality and functionality is so beautifully pronounced !🤩
I LOVE this tour. It's lovely to hear the thought behind every detail. Honestly this is a relatively achievable kitchen and seeing all the things you put in for functionality is super helpful as I think about making small updates to my own kitchen!
i loved this, love seeing chef’s kitchens that i admire - so warm and humble and cool
Loved every minute of this video because I know how it feels so great to custom fit one’s own new kitchen! I gloried in creating a baking corner, a storage container cabinet, and I’m so glad that I insisted on drawers, because we now have a popcorn popper drawer and a snack/bread drawer. Although I do get tired of my son complaining that I have moved the silverware drawer to our new island. Love your vintageware, too!
This is beautiful! Highly functional for you two, and I love that none of it exactly matches, but it all looks so nice together because you've picked out pieces you love. A gorgeous mish mash. I also really dig the 70s mid century but cabin design, and that's what I'm going for too. So this whole video was great!
My adhd is happy being able to see every item in the kitchen. Love this!
I am so grateful that I found you on BA recreating so many amazing foods. You are an excellent teacher.
This has been a kitchen in the making. I love how Claire can make anything look amazing 💅
Labelled food containers make me irrationnally happy haha. Lovely kitchen!
I think Kitchen tours are so insightful. I like that you kept it practical and very straight forward. Happy Hanukah.
I love how welcoming this space is and how accessible you've made everything. Truly great use of space and 100% gonna try to find a way to copy that one double-decker silverwear drawer you have. That's just genius!
I would loveee a full home tour! I absolutely love the functionality mixed with aesthetics of the kitchen and would love to see how that carries throughout the home.
i thinks it's interesting how this is what an accurate kitchen looks like (setup, material, etc.) of people who actually have experience and a livelihood in cooking. there's no unnecessary bells n whistles. it's very function over fashion while still looking like a lovely home space! reminds of parents' of friends kitchens who are personal chefs.
This reminds me of my bougie auntie so much. Functionality first, but everything is nice and curated and thought about. So freaking sweet. Wine for company, tucked away. High powered vent because we need it. Love you guys, this was a joy.
Obsessed with ALL THINGS KITCHEN!!! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Claire’s new space. Congratulations!
I am smiling that I have many of the cookbooks in Claire's kitchen.
I've been wanting a kitchen tour for so long. Your kitchen looks amazing and I love the style/theme.
I'm so in love with the look and style of your kitchen, I'd die to see what the rest of the cabin looks like!
Thanks for the tour of your beautiful new kitchen! I was especially excited to see the countertop that extends across the large window and is open underneath for a stool - I've been contemplating expanding my own kitchen in a similar way, but could find very few examples of how it would look. Clearly, it's fantastic - thanks for the inspiration!
Words cannot say how much I loved this video, your new kitchen is so beautiful and functional and charming. That mug/cup shelf is amazing and goals. I just watched the gougere episode (I’m going to try them for Christmas Eve dinner, wish me luck) and would love to have a space like yours to work in someday. It’s fun to see how much you love it and all the little details!
What a dream kitchen! A tip on the wine, it's not ideal to store it in front of a window. The direct light and temperature changes can cause problems with the wine, so it's best to store it in a cool, dark place. That does look like a nice convenient spot though so simply placing some material, like cardboard, in between the wine and the window would help a lot!
I have that Viking fridge it's the best. I love that you can control the humidity in different zones. Also, I can fit sheet pans in with no issue.
Yes! So happy for this kitchen tour. Taking notes for a future kitchen renovation lol.
I loveeee your glasses & mugs organization 🥰 Now I also need cabbage mugs, they are so magical
Check out Bordallo Pinheiro kitchenware
@@Sara-wh2xt Thank you so much!!
Yay - an explanation for the pot filler being so high. And it makes sense one we see the pot. Of course we are interested in this kitchen. Thank you for the tour
Green is my favorite color, so naturally I love your kitchen! I also agree that every kitchen NEEDS a tool drawer. And the cat door is Meow--fantastic!♥️😽
This was incredible! Would love to see more home videos/outdoor kitchen updates, etc.
Loved seeing how you designed and decorated your space. Cooking is my hobby so all the details are good!
You have the dream kitchen--and you deserve it! Hope to follow in your steps one day, ha. Keep up the good work, Claire & crew!!
Thanks, it's nice to know how a chef sets up their kitchen.
Claire, I love this! How exciting! NEW kitchen! Love Love Love! Great space! ❤️
love this type of content, more if this in the new year. PLEASE.
More house tours! So much fun to watch
I love how the layout and every detail is well thought out and how it really looks like a lived space.
Beautiful Kitchen Claire - so proud of you! Super 🌟🌟
Enjoyable and helpful. We have 3 cats. Your cat door immediately took me back over 40 years ago when we cut an oversized “mouse” hole in a door so our cats could access their basement litter box. Loved the tour.
This was awesome. Love you going into details about the organization process.
thanks for sharing! i like your cabbage mug and the egg basket too! so cute~
I noticed the cabbage mug in the quick montage at the beginning and loved it; feeling very validated that Claire called it out specifically later haha
Our giant single-basin sink is nearly my favorite thing about what we did to our kitchen, too.
Love the knife-holder insert idea! We currently just have to wash and put away immediately to keep them out of the sink or toddler hands, and sometimes that’s tough.
Thank you for the tour ! Your kitchen is you and I love it! Great job ! 🐈🐈⬛
Thank you for the kitchen tour Claire. I love your videos!
PS your editor is fantastic.
I loved seeing every little detail of your new kitchen. Thanks for sharing and letting us see. Also, love the cabbage mugs. I love food shaped vessels and my sisters make fun of me for that!
0:35 I gasped when I first saw this drawer. Very cool.
THANKYOU SO MUCH I am taking copious notes for our renovation
I’m a cottage baker and I received both of your cookbooks for the holidays. They are absolutely beautiful and I am so excited to try so many recipes! 🥰
THE DREAM SINK. oh my god. LOVE IT.
You did a great job, I just re did my kitchen (I live in Sweden) and went for dark green cabinets. I wanted to do shelves but my husband cooks a lot of meat dishes on the gas range and everything get greasy so I went with the cabinets, love the look and practicality of your kitchen and LOVE the cat door and the cabbage mugs. Thanks for sharing!
I also live in Sweden! Where did you purchase your cabinets?
@@Tsuki04wolf IKEA but they are no longer making the green ones. You can still get them but it's just the ones that are left. it is the Bodbyn series. Where in Sweden do you live?
@@barbararuthsmith2882 ah of course that's the case haha
I live in Falun!
@@Tsuki04wolf Not so far from me, I live outside of Grängesberg.
@@barbararuthsmith2882 Oh wow that is pretty close! Never expect people to live in Dalarna haha
It's clever and lovely. Congratulations!
YAYYYY! the most awaited kitchen tour ❤️😍
Enjoyed this video so much!! Thank you for sharing all the details.
There’s so much that I love about this video. The way this kitchen screams Virgo energy in the way that everything is in its place and everything has a purpose, the scalene triangle green tile, that unreasonably high pot filler, the Harris cameos and mentions, the little hidden animations, Claire’s fierce passion for the cabbage mugs, and most importantly, the fact that Claire’s hair matches Felix’s moustache in this video. I love love love this. ❤😂
I'm a home cook and baker, and I enjoyed this tour and all your other shows! All the best in your new space.
ITSSSSS SO ENTERTAINING TO WATCH CLAIRE OMG LOOOOVE HER
Love that this kitchen is "normal" in the sense that everyone has the same problems and practical solutions
Thx for sharing your amazing home kitchen with us it was a long time coming i hope u enjoy it so much and have countless amazing baking and cooking memories with your loved ones…everything was my favorite especially the cat cam hehe ☺️ 🐈
looks sooo good! now i need to see claires baking/cook book collection !!
I’d love to see a full house tour 😭😭😭
The Filming crew just flexing now. This is beautifully shot
I’ve literally been waiting on this video !! Claire just popped up in a new kitchen with no warning but it’s amazing functionality is so important ❤❤
Not totally without warning, it was in the works as you can tell, the old kitchen was in progress, no official counters, or little there of, a portable dishwasher (countertop), etc. It was obvious that the kitchen had been partially gutted, but put enough together to make it workable until they could get it redone.
I think she did say they were going to redo the kitchen at one point, so not totally surprised unless you were unaware.
I like to see that in your own channel you seem to be happier and calmer. Back when you were with BA, you seemed to be always stressed out, anxious, in a bad mood and rushing everything. I’m glad the changes seem to be for the better.
My kitchen was renovated about 5 years ago. Such a lifechanging thing to do!
Wonderful Tour!! Fantastic!
So fun, thank you for showing us your kitchen!
I LOVE getting to see a practical kitchen from a chef
Obsessed with your glassware wall! And the cabbage mugs are everything
