    Howdy Simon- I can’t imagine me trying to move that much snow in a day. Incredible! Those old machines were built to last forever and a day. Hopefully it will start to warm up soon and you can get into your summer projects. Looking forward to seeing what you get into this summer. I’m sure whatever it is, it will be interesting to see. Hope you and Ms Sarah have a great weekend. God bless

      Hi Paul, The warmth is coming so will soon be building again. Very much looking forward to getting onto the mill when I get all the pine out of the forest. Take care my friend.

    Mmmmm... one thing I have learned in life - Simon usually never bites off more than he can chew!! Happy chewing... as the say in the big wide Africa... there's only one way to eat an elephant - that would be, little by little! And... if you do it slowly, you won't get indigestion either!
    Have a great weekend - you, Sarah and the Hound - and the chickens and the worms and all the other folk up there! Rabbits? Did I forget something?
    Great job Simon... another "ele" eaten!

    The old Bolinder is still getting the job done.. yes, it would be nice with a modern machine like the Cat, Volvo L-series, Hitachi or what not.. and to have a air conditioned cabin, but would they work as good in 70 years time? Allow me to doubt it... way too much nicnacs to go south on modern machines. Good job there Simon, have a great weekend and enjoy the spring warmth🌞

    Would it be possible to drive upwards without plowing, turn, and drive downwards with plowing?

    • @arctic-rebel
      @arctic-rebel  4 месяца назад +1

      I wish I could have done that it would have been a little easier but the snow was to deep which was why I had to plow. If I could have driven it in the 4 x tractor I would not have plowed at all.

      Hi Scott, the prices here for processed firewood have doubled in the like 5 years so the extra work still make it worth it for us. Thank you, have a great weekend.

    • @acajutla
      @acajutla 4 месяца назад

      All that work just to get some firewood? An easier way might be to always have two years use of firewood at home, then it will have plenty time to dry and there's no hurry precessing it in springtime.

    OMG - you still have a lot of snow left Simon. Here, in the southern part of Norway the snow melted away almost a month ago, eben if we got much snow this winter. I took a long walk with my dog in the forest yesterday, and the ground was not even wet. But if you get warm weather I am sure the snow will melt away very fast in your place. Take care Simon, and greetings from Norway.

    • @arctic-rebel
      @arctic-rebel  4 месяца назад +1

      This is normal for here and can stay longer in the forest even with warm weather. It has mostly gone from the yard and roads but still on high ground. We are a long way above sea level here. Thank you.

    That is a heap of snow. I mowed part of the lawn today here in Northern Wisconsin. What happens if you don't dump each bucketfull as you clear? Will it still push it clear?

    • @arctic-rebel
      @arctic-rebel  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi, if you leave the bucket with snow in it can help traction and will still push it clear. However it flows from the sides which can lead to side trails meaning you have to clear twice if you want a clean surface. Wish you well with the mowing I can almost smell it.

    Got to love the oh s*** moments😂. But the question is is how much wood or Timber are you allowed to take out of there

    • @arctic-rebel
      @arctic-rebel  4 месяца назад +1

      As much as is agree my me and the owner is the answer. What was taken this time was the value of the timber against how much I was owed in snow plowing fee's plus the cost of cutting and transport. Processing is at my cost.
