I've been impressed by those winding stairs since i was a teenager, and they made a new one in our old house. Re-engineering one from a rotten woodpile is even more impressing. Hats off to a great job!
Simon's Enigma Conundrum - SOLVED! Should I say... again!? Have a great weekend you all... don't do what I wouldn't!! PS - Simon, you look so sweet when you crack a smile... even if I had to wait more than an hour to see you pulling off the sneaky!! 😁👍💥
Sweet, well I have been called many things but rarely that. I will take it though and be grateful for it. Thank AJ we send our love and as always be safe.
@@arctic-rebel Hahhahhhaaa... I sort of knew I'd hit the spot there... the sweet spot!! Sorry Sir, now you have me doing the stupid LOL and ROTF stuff!! Sweet dreams!!🤣🤣
I don't ever judge how others keep their homes, everyone has their own cross to bear, but knowing that a part of my house was deteriorating like that would drive me insane... I can't imagine that a dehumidifier wouldn't make a world of difference to that place. But what do I know, I'm half a world away, different everything... Either way, top work as always. Never actually seen a spiral staircase go together before, so that was interesting.
GREAT JOB SIMON I BET WORKING OUT ALL THESE ANGLES REALLY TAXED YOUR BRAIN GOOD JOB YOU HAVE DONE THESE SPIRAL STAIRCASES BEFORE, I WOULD HAVE GIVEN UP I AM AFRAID 😂😂
Howdy Simon- oh my goodness, what a mess you got into. That was a nightmare for sure. As is always the case, you made it happen and it is done. I had one restoration similar to that but it was logs that no longer existed on the bottom four rounds. Anyway, you did a fantastic job getting the stairs back together. It’s quite interesting watching what you inherit and bring back to life. Hope you and Ms Sarah have a great weekend. God bless
Thank you Paul, interesting you mention the log scenario. I did wonder whilst undertaking replacing the stringer what I would have to o different if I had not been able to pick up the old peaces. A situation where it had been notched directly into the logs would have been it. I would guess that would have been above ground but where the base log touched the ground and rotten up. If I get one of those then I will hit you up for some pointers. Take care mt friend.
Incredible Simon! Putting that all back together better than it’s ever been! Looks awesome! As well as the well 😊😊😊. Kasper as usual did a great job inspecting the finished stage …. Just so cute the things they do 😊😊. Do hope you are all well and that you’ve managed to get the shoulder working again. That looked a nasty skin tear on you hand too. I cracked up when yo7 showed us the plug on the vacuum cleaner 😂😂😂. Warmest regards to you all ❤️🇦🇺🇸🇪
Thank you Anne, we are all good and send our love. Kasper has to be cute sometimes he has been a busy boy this year with bear patrol being top of his priorities. You all take care you must be well into summer now.
@@arctic-rebel Kasper being a very busy patrol boy❤️❤️❤️. No, Simon….Spring really, not that one would know as the weather like yours has been very changeable. High wind gusts, drenching rain, much cooler temperatures over night then warm days some with bitter winds🙄🙄🙄. Read this morning we’re in for a wet summer with La Niña……and so it goes on. Loves to you all and looking forward to the weekend episode 😊😊😊❤️🇦🇺🇸🇪

You're definitely a "step" ahead of all of us !!👍👍☕☕ 🤔🤔 With all that mold & mildew you should have a mask on.
He's smoking so he's probably immune to any weak spores or biological nonsense. 😄
