I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I find the sight of an iconic RouteMaster rotting in a field upsetting. Pete, you do a fantastic job giving the love back to these wonderful vehicles and wouldn’t be surprised if you’re nominated for a MBE sometime in the future.

As an Ex BBC Video Editor (admittedly from a very very long time back), I'd just like to say what a BRILLIANT idea. Mobile Studio and Post Production Suite for the win, indeed! I'm super jealous as I've always wanted to build something like that. Really good luck with it. In fact I don't know if you are already thinking of something like this, but I'll warrant that with the growth in youtube channels needing the occasional bit of expert production backup for special shoots, there might even be a market for a bit of hiring it out as a mobile production facilities house.
having watched your channel over the highs and lows of CV19, not to mention the pink primer on the bus you used (how can we forget the pink !) so pleased you can find a great use for the bus. good luck and can't wait to see the progress.
YES!. at last. My own resolve was starting to waver. Glad you are back on track. Just make sure you dont spend too much time in the new space. Your family will miss you/.
Your videos are always worth waiting for. What a great use for your project bus. Hope it goes really well and look forward to the next instalment. Peter.
You have two working buses, but any bus company knows you need a spare anyway (though things like COF's and other exams less stress and critical for you), so one that can infil for either of the others has to be useful in future).
I'm so glad 2730 is a live and well. Also, she still has a future with you. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with her next. Keep up the good work.
If someone had asked me how long I've followed your channel - right back from the very first episode, I'd have estimated about 18 months - but FIVE YEARS????!!!!! It just doesn't seem possible! I can't remember which episode it was, but I do remember being really pleased that you chose CREAM and not white for the dividing stripe around 2730! I bought a piece of 2730 which is framed and on a wall. Here's to the next five years!!

Those window hatches were a nice job! First I was like Oh no the original shell! but they turned out really good and subtil! I like the dual purpose idea, that is such a nice thing to have in your fleet.

Hey Pete (and your bus) here's another possibility for RML 2730, still turn it into your Man Cave/office/Production Suite, how about taking her out on the road to shows and events to sell merch but to then interview to camera like-minded people about their interests and obsession with classic vehicles and busses as you clearly have 😊 something to add to your already brilliant channel. Just suggestion.
At the end of the day mate, it’s “Pete and his bus” not “Pete and his bar bus”!! We are all on this journey and you’ve spent the time and money to save her which is the brilliant and we have all been on this journey with you!!
I'm glad you've found a solution, I've got a bit of a soft spot for 2730 and its Iveco engine, having driven Fiat-Iveco powered buses over here in Italy.
Glad to see you’re keeping the OG bus on the channel, I was wondering whether you’d got diverted with all the other ventures. Like the idea of a combined work and leisure space, thought you were going to say you were going to turn it into a mobile home for trips with the family!
Great recap. I first tuned in late summer 2020, so it all looks familiar. I thought you were going to do a padded studio space that could double as a place to put kids while doing other work. Oh, and there's no room for Compo on board. But no doubt, he has already made you aware of that. 😁
Great that you have created a new oppertunity for RML2730 looking forward to the progress..thought you might have done another London to Brighton Special.. Keep up the good work Robb Torremolinos Spain 😀
For running numbers etc - you need a plate with your garage code on it. and London General are now - having got fed up losing many - are using black plastic with the duty number chalked on it.
With the scares that 2355 gave Pete in recent events (both returning from events, gladly), I would’ve swear that 2730 was going to be a backup in case good ole 2355 decided to suddenly not work. Having two old buses is an assurance that he won’t fail any event contract. But that’s just me, I guess.
I follow the same logic in cars, my daily drivers are a 1993 Fiat Panda Selecta automatic and a 1987 Fiat Regata 70S manual, so if one is not cooperative I've got the other one to take me about and I can always enjoy a proper car experience 😊
Great to see you have found a use for the bus which is now part of the channel, as you say it would not be the same without her. looking forward to seeing the rest of the fit out. May be there is a market for hire as an event promotion mobile office.
Very disappointed, a whole episode without a single reload paint gun ! 😅, Glad that you are back on track with 2730, looking forward to more content 😊👍
Good grief, has it been that long?? I waited every week for the next episode to see how it was all going and then she sort of disappeared - you got too popular😂😂😂 It's great she's going to be put to good use and it's good to see the the barns full of red beauties, you're doing a grand job, hope you can keep on top of it with the old life/work balance bit.
