In this Jalisco Mexico vlog, we stayed in the Pueblo Magico, Tapalpa for a little less than a week. This provincial mountain town is truly something special. While in this Magic Town, we enjoyed the mouth-watering food of the mountains of Jalisco while soaking in the relaxing essence of nature surrounding the town.
So many people recommended we visit Tapalpa, Jalisco and now we know why! We just wish we’d come sooner! During our trip, we also made our way to Valle de Piedrotas, or Valley of Large Stones, what is considered the main attraction of Tapalpa. Later, we journey through some sketchy dirt roads to find what we later learned was the largest waterfall either of us have ever seen, and perhaps the most stunning thing we’ve ever seen in nature. This Mexican waterfall, called Salto de Nogal is an absolute MUST SEE if you are in Guadalajara or Lake Chapala Jalisco, Mexico. Heck, even if you aren’t in Jalisco or Mexico, we think this experience was practically unparalleled and a definite must.
What do you think of our adventures in this travel Mexico vlog? We'd love to hear from you in the comments! Where should our Tangerine Travels take us next?

This waterfall is the most spectacular thing we've ever seen in nature! What's the most astonishing thing you've seen?
Hello!!! Tapalpa what a beautiful place!!! The people is the nicest!!! The houses and buildings have that picturesque touch... I have great memories from Tapalpa. It is a must... Best regards!!!
Tamul in Huasteca Potosina.
Tlapacoyan veracruz mexico Your video is awesome .
Hi Guys, you just made my day ! I grew up near Tapalpa, in Sayula. But every weekend we traveled there to have “un día de campo”. And those are the best memories of my childhood! Now that I’m so far away, I’m just so happy that you enjoyed my “terruño” the way that I did it! Thank you guys, I love your channel.
If you enjoy waterfalls, cheap food/drinks chiapas is the place to go. Google this is you want some references (lagos de Montebello or lagunas de Montebello, bonampak, cascadas de agua azul, cañón del sumidero, san Cristóbal de las casas, las guacamayas, las nubes)And in the borderline road mexico/guatemala are a lot of waterfalls that o do not remember the name because they have indigenous name (like cascada de las golondrinas but the real name is in mayan or lacandon).
That places aren't cheap my friend
Chiapas is an impressive beauty and a must see in Mexico no question. The point is, Tapalpa is at one-hour driving from the second largest metropolis in Mexico which is Guadalajara; and the enormous advantages of being so close to it add up to Tapalpa. Besides, the weather in Tapalpa is much cooler than in Chiapas due to Tapalpa features a cool mountanous elevated weather whereas Chiapas has a hot and humid tropical forest weather which can go up to 40°C. Both are marvelous places worth a visit.
Chiapas was one of my favorite places when I lived in Mexico. I have beautiful memories there!
THANK YOU!! We are thinking about retiring in Mexico and have been following your adventures. We were hoping to find something more low key, a little quieter, that had more nature than crowded parks but loaded with locals and rich culture. Tapalpa is absolutely gorgeous! So glad you shared this beautiful piece of Mexico! Can't wait to see more of Tapalpa.
Thank you guys for visiting my homeland, Im proudly from this beautiful pueblo mágico, currently I live in Cabo, Mx but every time I get vacation I go to Tapalpa to see my parents and siblings, there are more amazing places to explorer in Tapalpa, thank you for feeding the stray dogs!! And thank you for showing to the world my beautiful land. 😊
Finally something new that I've never seen or done personally in Mexico. Love it. May have to check it out.
Absolutely love your videos. Please don't ever stop. Ive only visited Cancun several times due to my lack of speaking Spanish in Mexico. Im getting more motivated to learn the language si I can explore like you do.
Thanks for the encouragement Mick! We hope to continue our travels for a very long time...maybe even forever! :) In case you're looking for a good resource for learning Spanish, we love Rocket Languages (you have probably heard us mention it in a video before). Years ago my husband went to Tatalpa, to visit a friend and toll me the beautiful place it was. but we never had the chance to both visit it again
Nice of you to feed the dogs. God bless
The dogs there were so nice! The one, who we called Tapawpaw, followed us around the entire time we were there. He even slept outside the door to our Airbnb. He's a sweetheart and we were sad to leave him 😢
I really enjoyed the video. I’m from Tapalpa but now I’m living in Germany and when I was watching it I cried a lot it makes me to remember my family and friends. Thank you so much for this great and wonderful video!
My wife and I LOVE Mexico. Most of our vacation time is spent in Puerto Vallarta. Thank you for sharing Tapalpa especially the waterfall. It is so magnificent and I cannot imagine why you were the only there. It must be because on the hike, right?

Im not sure if you visited the place yet but a 3 hr drive from guadalajara is a lovely beach town called sayulita, I'm sure you'd love it there (by the way, you can walk through the rocks to stand right besides the waterfall, right side of the fall, and totally agree with a lot of the comments below that mention the best falls, rivers etc are at the Huasteca Potosina, you should defenitely check that out)
Beautiful waterfall, thanks for the tour of this wonderful area!
Waterfalls have such a healing and happy vibration! Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventures and thoughts!🤗
Absolutely! Best way to put it 😄

Great video as always guys! It’s amazing how you guys moved around in Mexico, I love that you are not scare of doing that. That’s a great way of finding great places such as that amazing waterfall. 👍🏾👍🏾
Loved this video! Keep it up Tangerines!
So glad you both had such an awesome visit to Tapalpa and the beautiful falls . I really enjoy watching your travels, and learning about Mexico.
Me encantan tus videos. Me encanta tapalpa. Gracias por estos videos tan bonitos. Que bonito es Jalisco.
Excelente video!! y esa cascada ahhhh!!
Wow what a magical place! Beautiful town and beautiful nature!!
So nice of you to feed the stray pups. Love your videos!!
You two - sharing something you find wondrous. It's an enjoyable treat.
Awesome video! I’ve visited Tapalpa before and I loved it. I do agree with you both on how the rocks/boulders are the main attraction. When I saw them I thought “Really? This is it??” lol. As for the rompope. There is nonalcoholic rompope and rompope with alcohol. Can’t wait to see where you two go next!
Thanks for watching Mayra! Glad we weren't the only ones that thought that. Don't get us wrong, it's a gorgeous view and still an enjoyable experience, but those waterfalls should really be the main attraction in our opinions. I'll be honest, I thought the rompope with alcohol kinda tasted like cough syrup, but Jordan loved it. I'd probably like the non-alcoholic version better. P.S. We're in Morelia now! :)
You have to do the trip to Chihuahua and take the Train to the Pacific and stop in Creel to se the Copper canyon and the rainfall near Creel it is a must trip in Mexico but in summertime cause many locations close in winter due to the snow. There are towns like Vahuichivo, lake Arareco and beautiful valleys like the mushroom valley. Look on that trip, it is breathtaking.
I'm glad this reappeared on my list. Definitely interested in staying here. Me gusta muchismo.
Love your videos! Beautiful waterfalls

I'm enjoying your videos as usual however it amazes me as to how brave you young ones are to go all over the place on those lonely long roads and those lonely long hiking trails. Thanks for sharing your travel experiences with us but do be careful out there. All your videos have gotten a well deserved thumbs up from me and hopefully from everyone else.
Wow awesome waterfall great adventure you guys !

Love the videos. The waterfalls are beautiful
Love your beautiful travel videos..
Thanks for your lovely comment Gary!
Awesome.
The town looks very nice.
The waterfall is amazing.
We definitely recommend visiting someday if you have the chance :)
Too cool! So glad you didn't listen to the other people! They missed out! I like your idea of camping by the falls. I may look into that if I am fortunate enough for get there! After the hike there resting and enjoying the falls longer seems a great idea! I really appreciate your efforts! Thanks.
I’m a snowbird with a place in Mazatlan and I have watched many of your videos. Loved seeing your excitement and consider this my favourite one so far. Now I want to go there too. Muy bien Amigos!
My parents are from two towns very near Tapalpa, and I try to visit this pueblo magico every time I go down to see family. I went there as a kid and just recently went there on my 39th bday. My wife and daughter loved it! Never loses its magic. Thank you for sharing your experience
What great memories you have with Tapalpa! That's cool to hear that it's retained its charm over the years. Seems like not many places are like that these days.
Jason has a gorgeous smile. Great you guys had a lot of fun!!
A+ on the giant waterfall -- excellent !! Thanks !
I was born in Tapalpa. Moved to the US at 11 years old. I have gone back not as much as I want to tho. Thanks for making this video. Lots of memories😢💕 I showed the video to my kids and they loved it, now they can see and understand my stories! Thanks so much!
Great, thank you to show my amazing country through RUclips, you have to know more places in Mexico, it is so beautiful!!!!
Love you guys as usual.........You make my armchair traveling first rate!!! Thanks so much for sharing your travel adventures.❤️
What an awesome waterfall. Wish I could see that but it might take me all day to climb back out!!! Keep on being awesome kids, un gran abrazo.
So cool!
Planning to take this hike when I visit Ajijic and Lake Chapala in January 2020. Thanks you two for finding this gem!
Beautiful place. Thanks for sharing 💚....To be honest, really loved el Valle de las Piedrotas. Seemed like a beautiful day to stay there. And I live in Arizona too.....The second waterfall...just spectacular. Not only by itself, but the whole surrounding......noisy and calmly at the same time...
Maybe we liked it less because there were so many people there screaming and running around. It took away from the tranquility and natural peace. Someone mentioned that they went there to stargaze at night and we would DEFINITELY go back there for that. That waterfall on the other hand, we'd go there any day, any night. :)
@@carlosaguayo6044 jajajaja....goooong the bell! :P
I wanna go now! You guys are so likable!
