I just discovered your channel today! Love your videos, and the first one I watched was Guadalajara, since I lived there for a year a while back. Went to Teatro Degollado several times to hear their symphony. Tickets were so cheap! And I took a bus to Tapalpa and thought it very lovely. I visited Los Piedrotas, they are amazing!!! Such a sight to see and experience! I also saw the restaurants I visited in your video while I was there for a weekend. An interesting little place I happened to discover was a library somewhere on a side street. So cute! Lovely video, muchas gracias!! Excited to view more!

third time watching this video and finally leaving a comment after spending the past weekend in Tapalpa! it seems crazy to me that anyone would only go here for one day. doing the twisting and turning road up and down the mountain in the same day would be exhausting. the weather for us was very cool, cloudy and wet for the whole weekend... which was actually a nice relief after the scorching heat of the past few months. the only negative of that was our photos didnt look nearly as good as they would with sunny blue skies. loved the liveliness of the main plaza with so many vendors and restaurants. a couple faves were "Bufalo" where we enjoyed wings and beer from one of the balconies and another was "La Santa" that does gourmet pizzas and delicious red wine claricot with lots of apple and nuts in it. we didnt purposely look for the fountains but came across 3 of them just by chance. I just love the style of life in these mountain towns! that 3rd church thats more in the style of the one in Mazamitla looks nice from a distance but appears sort of neglected when you stand right in front of it. I didnt realize that those dusty dry lake beds that you showed actually fill up with water during the rainy season, so we go to see them about 1/3 covered in water as we drove through. its quite pleasing and unique scenery the entire drive....
