DUDE I love your vids and commentary has helped me get into the game very easily from smite and league your voice is so calm and your very informative keep up the great work man
Love the video, especially from the Offlane authority :). Two items of feedback. 1) Players face a lot of carries and mages in the offlane. It would be good to just add them not in the spotlight but In the matchup rows. 2) I'm not sure how to process those cases where 2 characters are good matchups for each for each other. For, example Sev and Shinbi.
The way I understand it, in that example is that both of them rely heavily on farming in the early game, and neither of them will be able to stop the other from doing so and getting strong in the mid-late game. If that makes any sense
So excited about this! Builds and ability tips are easy to pick up but knowing how each offlaner plays into different matchups has always been really tough for me.
Great breakdown video Joey! I'm curious why you think Shinbi is bad into Zarus though, I feel like its slightly Shinbi favored but still requires skill to dodge spears and Q with his all-in by dashing at correct timings.
A good shinbi can give zarus a hard time in that match up. Gotta agree here. But it's worth noting Joe doesn't play much zarus I think in his defense. Joe can correct me if I'm wrong here.
As context, I play Zarus quite a bit and I play both the Shinbi and Zarus match up side from time to time. Whenever I play this match up, what ends up happening is that the Zarus will put himself between the minion wave and Shinbi and consistently pressure with his Q and RMB. As a result, Zarus will lose some CS, but can deny Shinbi XP range of the wave and build a considerable XP gap between the two, with this only becoming harder on the Shinbi once Zarus can pressure with his ultimate. On the Shinbi side as well, due to her limited mana early on, it can be challenging to CS properly safely and that is the all the more reason Zarus can pressure the Shinbi and have an easy lane to maintain overall. Maybe this is one of those sitatuions where Zarus can only apply a lot of pressure to Shinbi when he is not being ganked by jungle/mid, but in just a vacuum 1v1 just the two of them, I find that Shinbi consistently struggles to scale and keep up in gold and level compared to the Zarus if he does a good job at pressuring the Shinbi properly
Omg this was the video I needed and randomly found it. I'm trying to learn offlane as a new player, currently gold 3 mmr, this vid is a godsend. I actually have a really good winrate atm especially on Shinbi, but sometimes I struggle when the enemy jungle/mid pay too much attention towards me and then I'm not sure what to do when my lane becomes too popular. Is it possible to win games as offlaner when you get hard team diff'd ? Also interesting you listed Grux and Greystone as good matchups for Shinbi, I'm actually struggling the most vs those as Shinbi for some reason. Grux hits like a train in early game and Greystone just survives everything every time. Though if I'm not behind I can easily take them in mid to late 1v1. Also how come Shinbi and Sev are both good matchups for each other?
Minion advantage is key to win the all ins, so play around your minions. Use your Q > E combo defensively to knock up the crunch when he goes on you, RMB, then walk away. You will win trades as long as you get your abilities out quick and back away. Once you get Tempest, it becomes safer to all in when you find the opportunity to do so
Grux kinda feels like a joke from the devs, as unless you are significantly better player. Without help you feel hopeless. I hope the devs give him a power shift to be significantly worse a early levels and stronger in late. (Or give us bans, I guarantee at most levels he would be a priority.)
Grux is a great Timmy hero. He just beats down unsuspecting opponents and is a scary hero when you are new. I think he's a pretty good introductory hero, though, and if you know what you're doing he can be very impactful even in high level matchups.
we need this for every role! what a gem

I am 30s into the video, and I am already stoked just to see the "tier" format 🙏
I appreciate having a better perspective of matchups, thanks.
I was hoping you would do a video like this! Awesome! Thank you for your effort ❤
Fantastic work from one of the best Content Creators 🤓
Very informative video by yours truly ✊🏽
Very good video, thank you Joe!
Loved this video, for the most part.
:-P
Excellent stuff.
I did not know about that Serath interaction with Kwang's E.
Make more of these diff roles
Great video!

I think personally Shinbi is strongest offlaner right now once she has megacosm online and is level 8+

Would you be able to share your video settings? Your gameplay videos look so nice
I have all video settings set to Epic and motion blurred turned off. You would be surprised on how well the game runs even at max settings!
How the hell do i deal with a Crunch in offlane while playing Kwang (once crunch hits lvl 6?) He obliterated me in every 1v1.

YOU MISSED ONE!!! MORIGESH!!!!!
Awesome vid, but I feel like the serath matchup is horrid for feng mao
Hell yeah
How do you beat a morigesh????
No aurora?

I struggle vs him in early game, he hits like a truck, but in mid-late game I delete him as Shinbi.
u have a cute voice joe
