Hey Girl! This is such a cute project! And the quotes are precious! I love the ones with the flourishes in the corners too! I use to do the same thing as you, and leave room to cut with scissors in between, but now I put a weeding box around all of my images and I save even more vinyl. I can butt the boxes right up against each other and the cricut cuts it for me. Thank you for sharing your ideas and projects!! Your rock!! Hope you all are well! ☮️🌸
You all prolly dont care but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the password. I love any assistance you can give me
@Roland Raphael Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Your tiles are so cute! I make coasters and sell them at craft shows. They're very popular! I always buy my tiles at Lowes. I get a box of 100 tiles and the prices averages to about 16 cents a tile.
Thank you so much ☺ I have so many tiles left over I should make more. I havent sold at a craft show for a few years sadly, may have to try this summer. Thanks for the sweet comment 🤗
Is there a way to avoid spots with that spray modge podge? Last time I used that stuff on keychains when it was dry there lots of bumpy spots from the spray, and I sprayed like you did.
Nice project I’ve been trying to figure out tiles with infusible markers but I think the vinyl will work I just wish they would make the vinyl where you could just peel it like you peel away the infusible ink sheets it would be much easier.
Thank you so much 🥰 I've never used anything else but polly, last time I used spray mod podge it messed my whole item up. I dont trust spray mod podge. Hope this helps, thanks for the comment
You can try to take the writing off with nail polish remover (acetone) not sure if anything will stick to it if there are things on it already. I bought some white tiles from Menards ;) just a thought
Thank you for this tutorial. It helped me very much. I do have one question. How long should I let the mod podge dry before using the coasters. My coffee cup is sticking to the coaster. Thank you
Your very welcome ;) I just posted a new tile tutorial that might help you out. I didn't seal these new ones. I would wait a few days before using them.
I have a question. I used the mod podge, polyacrylic & polyurethane to topcoat some coasters and any hot cup placed on it sticks to the coaster. Any suggestions?
Oh no, sorry to hear that, I've never had a problem like this before. Humm...maybe just try polly spray? That's all I use and I let it completely dry for a few days. I hope this helps, that's all I can think of. Maybe using so many products mixes things up?
Great tips! I’m going to give this a try for a wedding shower gift. What kind of vinyl did you use? I have a Cricut Maker & am new to vinyl. Should I use permanent vinyl?
@@icreatecrafts8462 dunno... Was in there tonight and they told me they don't carry that size anymore. Online looks like only Home Depot carries them. I think the trend is 6x6 or 4x12... Don't they know we need to make coasters?!
Oh no...sorry to hear that. Did you clean your tiles with alcohol first to clean all finger marks and any dirt off? Did you use 651 vinyl? Was your tile warm enough when you out the vinyl on? Humm...those are the only things I can think of why it would peel up. I hope this helps
If you look closely hers do have the bumps on the edge, mainly because they are made for a backsplash to lock together or to create a small space for grout lines...im trying to determine if I should try to sand them down also 🤔
Thank you. Honestly I have not yet, but I dont forsee a problem with using hot drinks on it. I bought a spray (i think it was for cars) that withholds heat. Didn't use it though...Great question, sorry I couldn't help
@@icreatecrafts8462 I also bought the heat resistant engine gloss spray. Been curing a week now and still not fully cured and the cup boiling water did leave a little mark. I'm going back to experimenting with no seal!
Sorry I haven't tried, but I think polly would do just fine. I polly all of my tiles so that the condensation of the drink doesn't run off onto the vinyl
thank you- I'm just starting out & I found this video with your product links to be very helpful.
Welcome to the crafting fun 🥰 Thank you for the nice comment, I appreciate that

@Roland Raphael it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!

Awesome quotes, they turned out GREAT! Thanks for sharing and all your tips!
Thank you so much 💓 Glad I could help
Thank you for this. I love making coasters. These are beautiful.
Thank you so much 🥰 they are so easy and inexpensive and fun lol
Those are so cute! You could even put names on them for your fam!
Great idea ;)
Also, modge podge is awesome! Josh made a little coaster at school yrs ago that had little photos of him modge podged onto it. I love it!
Awe so cute and what a great piece of a memory. I love mod podge ;)
What mod podge did you use?

Is it a certain type you get for that amount and price?
I just bought whatever was on sale. Mine were about 12 or 16 cents each as well...
@@icreatecrafts8462 at lowes?
I think it was Menards for these specific tiles
Does the spray help keep the letters on
Awesome. i must try your way of making coasters.
Thank you 😊
They look great!
Thank you 💖

Not sure to be honest, maybe hold further away? I have never had any issues
Can't find your list of supplies specifically transfer tape from Amazon. Thankyou
The list is at the bottom in the description area. My favorite new transfer vinyl is from HTVRont.

I've never tried infusable ink..I love how HTV peels easily, I wish regular vinyl would. Thanls for your comment 😊
Has anyone been able to find these tiles? My Lowes doesn't carry them
Oh no...did you try looking online? Or even menards has some.
Love the lesson, can you use a non spray version of Mod Podge for last seal. Thanks again Loved It.

Thanks for sharing how to make coasters. I have a question please. what tile is better the glossy one or non-glossy?
You're welcome I love creating videos. I like using the non glossy ones just because I believe the vinyl will stick better. Just my opinion.
I got the coasters that have writing on the do I just paint the white and the add the photo

can u wash the coasters after putting the mod podge?
I am sure you could wash them with a moist wash cloth but not submerge them in water 😉

I love the coasters with the Dream, Faith, Hope & Love on them were did you get the svgs for them?
Thank you 🥰 I created them myself. I saw some similar on pinterest and created my own with a different font.
Deborah, I looked into these further and I found the font that I used...I used Savoyet Let font

Thank you 😊 I used permanent vinyl 651 I use the most (orical) always use permanent for tiles otherwise it will come off after a while
love it!
Thank you Emma 😊
Love these! Do you have a link for the cork you used?
Yes I do! Thank you I didn't realize I didn't add it to my description. I purchased these off of amazon...

Would HTV work or is permanent vinyl best? I was gonna do htv til I saw this, just curious
I used permanent :) Not sure HTV would work, might crack the tiles

I made some coasters this past week and when I sprayed the mod podge matte the letters curled up . Could it be the vinyl ?

Do you use anything to finish the edges of the tiles?
I do not. Honestly I never thought of the edges...thanks for the tip ill look next time
Do I need to mirror my image?
Hi Kathy, no you dont. It's not going on glass and it's not HTV so, no you do not mirror your image 😊 great question.
Do you sand the sides? I bought the exact ones but the sides have the ridges that are kind of bumpy?
No I didn't have to sand anything. Where did you purchase your tiles from?
@@icreatecrafts8462 mine are from home depot
Humm...I think that's where I bought mine (or lowes) been a while. I dont recall any of them being bumpy or needing sanding. Is the top smooth?
