Pastor Veigh is not describing the IJ the way the church usually teaches it.
IJ according to SDA beliefs states, Jesus began a ministry in Heaven in 1844 judging all people who have ever lived and this investigation is still going on today, and we don't know when our name will be called into judgement.

The Investigative Judgement Doctrine has been conclusively proven to be a Damnable Heresy and contradicts other straight forward and non ambiguous Bible verses. Shame on you pst Bohr for promoting Doctrines of Demons.

@@cbvagabond Thanks for your reply. If you study these verses, you will find they contradict what you have been taught by the SDA. There are many more but take a careful look at these.

“Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His”…” (2 Timothy 2:19 NKJV).
Jesus declares that He knows His own; He makes no statement about investigating ro determine who is His!
The Investigative Judgment is anti-Jesus. It pits SDAs against Jesus’ clear declarations.
The SDA “Church” needs to repent of this false doctrine.

I think the examples given describe there being investigation within the Bible, but to use those examples as investigative judgment shows this was being done before 1844. The dilemma of the IJ's timing hasn't been fully addressed by the church - nobody can quote what DARCOM concluded but a number of SDA's can quote what was brought up by Desmond Ford in the book of Hebrews. Good thoughts in this discussion though - we must go deeper into scripture and allow the Bible to further refine our beliefs.

So then what do you do with this verse? "For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17 NKJV).
