Also regarding the date of 1844. Paul, Steven, Peter all seem to be under the impression that Jesus was at the right hand side of the Father, aka, the Most Holy place. Paul goes through great lengths to tell how the Curtain of Jesus, body was torn. Once the curtain is torn, there is no separation between compartments any longer. This was said almost 2000 years ago. The curtain in the earthly temple was torn by invisible Hands and the curtain in Heaven was torn in the tearing of Jesus' body. And so, since the death of Christ - we have been able to approach the Throne of Grace and Mercy boldly.
Why cant you pastors simply answer from the Bible ( as you said you would) without using EGW?...its as if you lack understanding of the Bible

Without being rude Pastor Bohr is lying or obfuscating. Ford never taught "once saved always saved" nor did he ever remotely infer "your works or your behavior have nothing to do with salvation." Ford taught the gospel, "God gives with both hands, ie, justification and sanctification, and one "has to be saved to be good not good to be saved." These statements are not merely rhetorical ones or semantics. Sanctification follows justification. Every person has their own particular 'journey'. Your gospel borders on legalism. Read and understand Malachi 3:17.
The answer to the Desmond Ford question could not be further from the truth, not opinion, but truth. Des was NOT a Determinist, nor did he ever view obedience and sanctification as an optional program. He always taught salvation by faith, but with a faith that works, a genuine faith that is seen in obedience. If Jesus is in the Holy of Holies going through the record to see who is and who isn't saved' then that does in fact undermine assurance of our having (present tense) as seen in 1 John 5:13. Remember, nobody is worthy to enter heaven. For those who have exercised faith in Jesus' work on the cross are all sinners saved by grace. But we are saved none-the-less. We do not deserve to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb, be we are going.

The Desmond Ford generation of ministers predominate today in our Church and so does his theology. There is constant theological clashing in Sabbath School classes because of these conflicting theologies. And pulpit messages most reflect his theology. Until we get bach to the sanctuary message motif of the plan of salvation we will be divided. Daniel 8:14 is the text that opened up the answer to the Great Disappointment and established our denomination as a distinctive people. May our Lord help us to be faithful to it.

The New Theology as it is called will continue to exist as long as our theological instutions continue to exist in their current state. They influence both the pastors and church members who attend those institutions as they are generally the influencers in the churches. And the writers of the worldwide Sabbath School Bible Study Guides and books such as I Used to Be Perfect in which the author sneers at victory over sin and such things as Last Generation Theology. Much prayer is needed for our Corporate repentance. May our Kind Heavenly Father help us!
I'm encouraged that Pastor CA added to his comment that God will do everything possible to see that we make it to Heaven, save (except) breaking His holy law. Most give the impression that God will say you are fit for Heaven when you are really not. God does not and will not lie. He is however the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE. His sentence will be FAIR. Praise God He has given us EVERYTHING we need to make sure of salvation including and especially the Holy Spirit's power and help.

Desmond Ford saw that the Investigative Judgement was a slap in the face to Jesus’ finished work on the cross, in fully atoning for the sins of those who ask for His mercy. When Jesus said, “It is finished”, He didn’t mean, “There, I bought you some time; you’re on ‘parole’ now until we can take a closer look later.” It is a damnable doctrine.
His death on the cross was _complete_ but it won't be _completed_ until the sanctuary is finally cleansed and our sins are placed upon Satan.

The Investigative Judgement is a false doctrine which negates Jesus’ finished work on the cross. It is a damnable doctrine. “But though we, or an Angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we preached unto you, let him be accursed.” (Gal 1:8)
At Christ death when the curtain was torn it signifies there was no longer a separation of the most holy and the holy place...when Christ ascended to His Father, He entered the holy place( the holy sanctuary) ...for where God dwells is holy....Jesus is the new and living way He opened for us through the curtain....THAT IS THROUGH HIS FLESH whereby we can enter the sanctuary ( Hebrews 10:19)
Incorrect. The significance of the torn curtain is that we go straight to God for forgiveness of sin and no longer through the priest...it did not remove a compartment from the sanctuary.

Me too. I had been in the church for 3 years, but I had a pastor who took his congregation through every point of his heresies and showed us how Ford's theories conflicted with the truth.

This was a terrible answer sort like Vegas magician show the Slight of Hand. Daniel 8:14, The Day of Atonement, and the Investigative Judgment by Desmond Ford was through bible study there is No way you can get 1844 from Daniel 8:14 and the bible does not teach a year date principle.

That’s true. But all hasn’t been finished, yet. The part where Jesus died for us so we could go on living, and come to know Him, and serve Him without being in bondage to the devil. We still have the rest of Daniel and Revelation to go… it’s not completely finished until the thousand years are over, and all the wicked are (permanently) perished.
In case you haven’t noticed, there’s a lot of people who haven’t been convinced that God is innocent? So, I probably should’ve said, the Creator’s present day people are on trial- the true worshipers of God, the faithful who are written in the book of life, to stay. 😊

This was poorly answered. There's one big problem with what you've said and that's the thief on the cross, who was promised heaven that very day. Jesus has plainly said that if we believe He is who He says He is, and if we really believe His death justifies us then we have passed from death to life, we receive the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit lives through us to do every good work. Jer 31:31 Behold I make a new covenant with you. I will write my law on the tables of your heart.
It seems to me problem is the great deceptiveness of who Satan is to break down by deception allegiance to God. The question is not solidly anchored in the biblical record and so the detractors of this account are looking for an issue that has not the mention or anchor of the Bible record. So, it is a blessing to have the advantage of help form the spirit of prophesy that has been given to us to fill in what is not fully biblical in nature. Now if the thief on the cross were somehow taken off the Cross what would his state be? The fact that Jesus promised Him heaven we can assume that would have lived a life pleasing to God. The question that would make this plain is the prodigal son. Once he came to his sense and decided to go to his Father's house- was He not then justified? Say he stepped out of the pigsty and after one step a wolf killed him. What then? Would he not be as good as at the Father's home? Yes he would. The act of walking back home is showing his sanctification process. That can only come on the heels of believing. If he gets eaten by a hypothetical wolf at any part of his journey- he would still be as good as having arrived at his Father's house because he was 'pressing forward to the mark of his high calling'. And what covers him and makes it count as though he had gone all the way? His justification.

What a misrepresentation of Ford's issue with the churches understands of the judgment. If you want to discuss this issue you should study his arguments. Besides the sda church has changed its v new of the investigative judgment. This needs to be understood before you critique Des.
Regarding Desmond Ford: In my opinion, introducing doubt in the Pillars of Belief goes back to Gen. 3:4 "ye shall not surely die." The damage he did was preceded by the entire "go along to get along" philosophy that spawned "Seventh-day Adventists Answer Questions on Doctrine."
Listen before opinions
The very ones that appear at the wedding feast without Christ's righteousness clothing them, are the ones trying earn their own salvation. John 5:24 shows that the true Christian who believes on Jesus sacrifice "does not come into condemnation". Judgement needn't be by works, but faith or no faith. John 3:18. The Testimony of Jesus Christ says this: Jesus, in union with the saints, meted out to the wicked the portion they must suffer, according to their works; and it was written in the book of death. 1SG 212.2 Yes, we may ask why one of our loved ones isn’t there but the judgment of the wicked is a punitive one where Jesus and the saints decide how long a person will suffer in the lake of fire. I don’t understand why current SDA pastors don’t study this and speak the straight testimony! This was common belief prior to the 1980s. Also, Ford misquoted a quote from the Testimony of Jesus (aka The Spirit of Prophecy) leaving off a pertinent word that if read in it’s entirety would have proven the opposite of what he claimed. I’ve heard a student of his speak in recent years and this person’s doctrine was so off base, I had to leave the service.
Pastors Scripture says Christ is our high priest mediating on our bahalf in the holy place Hebrews 9:12( not most holy), He entered heaven itself and is next to the right hand of the Father.. in Acts 7:56, where did Stephen see Jesus?....how did Adventist conclude that Christ is now in the most holy place( which place the Bible doesn't say He is, but that He is in the holy place ) carrying out an investigative judgement, rather than interceding as High Priest?
Interesting you say that considering most of the evangelical world believes Jesus ascended into the Most Holy Place at His Ascension, and bypassed the Holy Place altogether.
Now there are some who say Christ is still in the Holy Place only.

No one is questioning that there will be a judgement day. Your problem is that you keep defending the 1844 claim, and Jesus currently has to individually receive daily progress reports of each persons' act of sins vs repentance ratio and his requiring of the manual weighing of these occurences, and most importantly denying the full atonement having taken place at the cross..... that's the critique.. unless you abondan Ellen as your ultimate final court of appeal.. you all will remain cult, unfortunately for you all...

I have read so much of what EGW wrote and what others in the church and outside have written about her writings. She calls her writings "little light" that lead people to "greater light", the Bible. The truth is her writings are leading me away from the Bible. Should I believe the Bible or clear heresies of E.G. White?

#4.1 this is incorrect. PP119 clearly references the flood.

@@JamieElison I have been to SDA church but I have been going to non denominational church on Sunday although I do think the pre tribulation or secret rapture is biblical . Thankfully they don't preach on it much.

An atonement that Adventist dogs bark is still going on in a contaminated heaven which was polluted by the blood of Christ which He supposedly transferred into heaven, and will transfer to Satan who is the innocent scapegoat sin bearer for the demon cult Adventists. The leadership of the World Wide Church of God repented and denounced Herbert Armstrong as a heretic and his heresies as demonic. The leaders ordered almost the entire first printing of Cultic Doctrine written by ex Adventist pastor Dale Ratzlaff; a forth generation Adventist married to a fourth generation Adventist. Both families having many full time Adventist workers. The book destroys the horrendous Adventist heresies and blasphemies. Dale pleaded with many Adventist leaders and supposed scholars ( there are no Adventist scholars) to show him from scripture hoe to teach the foundational doctrine of Adventism from scripture but none could do it. Dr Ford researched and preached all through the Bible. Don’t listen to those who “guess” he was heretical. His study on the Investigative Judgment and the Sanctuary are on point.

We are told that both Adam and Eve will be saved. When they get to heaven after Christ returns, they will weep when they learn that billions of their descendants lived lives of strife and pain, then will be eternally lost.
