Hey Teddy, I just want to thank you for the content you make. My father recently passed away, and he was always into watches. Now that he has passed, I have begun to look into this crazy world of watches and your videos have really helped me understand and appreciate the art of these timepieces that my dad saw. I have a very small collection of my own (nothing super special besides my dads old watch) but you inspire me to learn more and delve deeper into it, and one day I can't wait to invest into some more timepieces
Very sorry to hear about your father. However, you bring up one the best aspects of this world of watches. These little objects have the ability to connect and transcend our existence given they are made to last. I hope this world of watches can always help in keeping alive your connection to your dad. Thanks for the comment!
That dial is a thing of beauty. This ever so slightly off-white colour works so beautifully with other elements that aren't too dark. It's like ebony and ivory.
I will make the bold statement that, historically, Hamilton is the most important American watch maker. Their innovations with the RR pocket watches to their military history to their part in the Calibre 11 group in the race to build the world’s first automatic chronograph. Thanks for the “on-site tour”. While you were there it would have been cool to have interviewed Rowland Murphy at RGM and seen what a former technical director at Hamilton is doing in detail. Great show!
Gosh, I really can't get enough of your watch videos. I've only recently developed an interest in wristwatches. I really appreciate the background story in this video. Some of the terminology and jargon you use is over my head, but I enjoy your enthusiasm and thoroughness.
This is a great substitute for the 3330 caliber based Omega Speedy. Derivative of same Valjoux 7750 caliber, but at 1/3rd of the price and looks great or even better than the Speedy.
This is my first luxury watch this watch is absolutely gorgeous the way light reflects off of the indices and the warm hue of the dial makes me fall in love with this watch every time I wear it. The smooth wind with the crown is amazing too. I really love this piece my only 2 gripes would be the thickness of the watch and the bracelet could be slightly more comfortable but it looks stunning especially when being worn mid-day. Amazing review Teddy for an amazing timepiece.
Yo Teddy, great to see a video so close to home. If you are ever in the Gettysburg area, I highly recommend The House of Time...I just met the owner today who has a pretty neat background: railroad watch inspector, watch museum caretaker in Lancaster, now with his daughter at their shop on the Gettysburg square with a solid array of clocks and pocketwatches, wrist pieces too. Today they had four super clean Hamilton 992b movements and a 950 on hand - such pleasant sounds & beautiful dials.
My favorite part about this community on RUclips is that my favorite tubers all have such distinct styles that evolve more into their own. Grand to see you come into yours more and more.
Splendid watch, Teddy, the quality of you content is off the scale mate. Your introduction that included some of the history around Hamilton and watches in general was really interesting. I almost never leave a comment but this... man that's a kickass review! Not to mention the deep meaning of doing it in their old factory, those 11 minutes went away like they were 11 seconds 😂. Hamilton is a brand that i love and wear on my wrist since i was 11, man i am just impressed. Congratulations again, you are definitely in the holy trinity of RUclips watch channels to me. Greetings from Italy.
Teddy , i would love to see you take a look/make a video about a Hamilton Lancaster chronograph. They are one of my all time favorite chronograph designs and looks absolutely stunning.
After I heard it, I continued that thought: “Time is on my side Or rather on my wrists Keep on pushin me And I’ll be throwin fists I’ve been everywhere Still I’m standin tall I’ve seen a million watch faces And I’ve rocked them all”
After my failed adventure with a second hand Baltic Bicompax I am considering this. Vintage, pump pushers, panda dial, water resistant and above all, Swiss!! It may be more expensive but as the saying in the Netherlands goes: "buying cheap is buying expensive" Another great review Teddy, love the location with all the heritage!
@@ChristianTrucha the chrono counter stopped at 8 minutes, just when the needle hit the 12 hour. The whole movement stopped, even the seconds hand. I think it had to do with the notch that turns the cog of the chrono counter being to hard to turn for the thing. I did get my money back now
My neck of the woods too! I grew up about 30mins north of Lancaster and only live about 45mins north east of it now. Can’t believe I’ve never taken notice to the old factory until now.
@@aaronfoulk9849 yea, I live across the river in York County. Can't believe I've never been there either, especially since I own 3 Hamilton's! Need to get to that one of these days!

I live in Central PA. and two summers ago was in the area here and stopped by this complex. It kind of gave me goose bumps thinking about how people would walk up that sidewalk to go into their work station to make watches and pocket watches. I would also be willing to bet there are prob people living there in the apartment complex that have no idea of the history of the building. There might be more inside, but outside the only markings are the clock towers, and the H on the iron fence going in. Interesting side note.....about 15-20 mins up the road is the town of Lititz, PA where Rolex has one of their watch making schools. The building is absolutely beautiful. Somebody with the credentials of Teddy might be able to get in for a tour, but other wise the place is like Fort Knox. In 2021, you can almost assume you are being watched. But when I was walking around the Rolex building, I KNEW I was being watched....HA! I am by no means a professional vlogger, but there is a video of my trip on my page.
I know that feeling of goosebumps when you look at an old building or factory. I am from Massachusetts and I used to work in a print shop that was a shoe factory in a previous life. Huge white building with 2 wings connected by a covered bridge with a railroad track below. The print company didn't change anything except for removing the original machine tools and putting in the printers. Just like you see in old photos from the 19th century with every printer next to the windows and original wooden floor boards running the length of each wing. Old, but beautiful and you could almost smell the old leather-works and tanning chemicals. Fascinating to say the least.
Hey Teddy, thanks for the review on this model. I have to say that I fell in love with the white one, and decided to get it for my 40e birthday. So happy, such good looking watch.
