One of the brands I always recommend when it comes to affordable Swiss watches is Hamilton. With a broad offering spanning hundreds of references across several major model families, the overall Hamilton collection can be a bit confusing. With that in mind, I wanted to put together a video that tells you everything you need to know to understand where to look when it comes to Hamilton watches. If you like this concept, be sure to comment other brands we could cover in this style down below!

I am truly impressed by Mr. Baldassarre's overview of watches. Well beyond the superficial analysis of the surface features, he is fluent in his knowledge of the families of movements, the certifications, the histories, orientations within the market, and even mentions Hertz! What a professional. This video series stands head and shoulders above other on RUclips. Sets the standard in my opinion.

After months of pretty much daily use and desk diving the watch is somewhere +/-2 sec a day and not even a minute monthly. PR is excellent and PVD shows absolutely no nicks even on the clasp or edges. I love this watch and I picked it over the 41mm Navitimer for the price, WR and PR.

On the point review. Hamilton is a good choice for certain style watches. Dress, field, marine and affordable chronos. I was obsessed with Intramatic 68 limited issue and pulled the trigger in Reus Spain out of all places. Although Valjoux 7075 is a thick and noisy movement I still love the retro design and the fact it was limited to 1968 units.

I've been repairing vintage watches for a few years now. Almost all of the gold ones (Longines, Omega etc) were long service awards from the 50's to the 70's. I thought that sort of class from an employer was over, but you have just restored my faith that there are still decent employers out there.

A great overview of Hamilton Teddy, I didn't realise how huge there product range was. They have certainly nailed the field watch range but like you I also like the oddball PSR, a reproduction based on the Pulsar (the brand name is now part of Seiko) that had a few seconds of fame early in the James Bond movie 'Live and Let Die' that I saw on release at the cinema as a child and I remember it well. I had to get one. It would be good to do a similar view of Tissot that in some areas competes along side Hamilton in some areas.

Hey Teddy! Great video, as always. I have one Hamilton as always and absolutely love it. I also found this video particularly interesting because I spent 4 years in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I did my undergraduate work at Franklin & Marshall College which was just a few blocks from a bunch of factories (Hamilton's former building, Armstrong Floors, etc.). It's remarkable how much important industry was in this seemingly all agricultural-based central Pennsylvania town. I enjoyed hearing the history of the company in Lancaster, most of which I just didn't know. But it made my ownership of one of their pieces even more personal. One more tidbit. . . I migrated from the New Jersey shore (where I grew up) and started college. I spent a lot of time on the F&M College radio station (WFNM, ironically), on the air. It didn't take more than a day or two for me to be told by local listeners that the correct pronunciation of the town is LAN-caster. I, like everyone else, called it LAN-CAS-ter, like the way we all pronounce Burt Lancaster. It wasn't hard to fix!
Keep up the great work, Teddy & Team.

Not sure what they're thinking though with only 100m resistance for a dive watch, especially if the Khaki Auto also has 100m then what's the point? Also, in my Grandfather's time it along with Bulova were watches given at retirement for 30 + years of service.

Watching this because my Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic came to the house today! Love this watch!

I'm a proud owner of a Hamilton Jazz master. It was my first entry level watch and I'll keep forever.

Hi Teddy, great video, very informative. If you don't mind me asking, what's that jacket that you're sporting? Very stylish. Thanks for all of your wonderful content & output. Cheers!

I went for the Khaki Field Auto 6 years ago. Very happy with that one!
