The Murph is such a beautiful watch. It's a really lovely balance between timeless charm and modern engineering. I was soooo close to picking one of these up last time I was on holiday. The strap is... stiff, but the 20mm lug width would make it so easy to match straps to. Mmmmmmmmm.
IDK but the Murph 38mm is still one of the most gorgeous watch Hamilton has ever produced, we're probably looking at an all-time classic here, simply phenomenal.
Happy to hear that 😊 I’ve been enjoying my new Murph 38. It’s not the most exciting watch and not as thrilling as some. But it’s for sure a classic that’ll be quite timeless.
I’ve had my Hamilton khaki field 38mm auto for years and it’s one of the few watches I can’t see ever getting rid of. Perfect size IMO, toolish but has some nice bezel polishing, 100m WR, and goes great on so many strap styles
The 3 Hamilton watch collection i actually own is ……. Hamilton PSR …70’s Stunner…. Hamilton Mechanical Chrono H Built like a tank 60’s Vibe ….. Hamilton Ventura Skeleton XXl …. Crazy Elvis on Burgers Watch ….. Plus my bonus … Hamilton Railway special pocket watch limited edition ….. everyone needs a pocket watch!!!!! Need to jog again to get that waistcoat fastened!!!!!!!! Great history …. Great build quality … great price compared to the competition……..
Great selection, I would change the frogman for a Navy Scuba, the older 40mm version for small to medium wrists and the new 43mm version for big wrists. And if I'm allowed to add a 4th piece it would be the American Classic Intramatic Chrono.
Thanks Russell! Just pulled the trigger on the 'dinner plate' 😂. Been wanting that watch for a long while as Interstellar is one of my all time favs and just love the dial and hand set. Couldn't resist with that Mad deal you have provided us! What a ledgend!
The Murph strap is a little stiff at first but a few months in now i find if very comfortable. It hugs the wrist nicely. Also the floating keeper is nice and firm and stays in place unlike a lot of straps. Love my Murph and khaki mechanical
Great video as always. My 3 watch Hamilton collection would be: Khaki Pilot Auto Day Date same as you (I already own this one) Khaki Field King Auto on brown leather strap (plan to buy this soon - probably within 30 days now lol) American Classic Intra-Matic Auto Chrono (Probably won't ever get this one sadly)
The three Hamilton’s I own are the Khaki Field Auto (first nice watch purchase) Intramatic Chrono panda And Jazzmaster Openheart with the new red dial. Love the versatility of these three!
All terrific watches. As a “Date Only” guy that Pilot Day Date is hands down my favorite Hamilton. I do have a slightly larger wrist so it should fit great. Very cool regarding the code! Thanks for showing us the watches!
The Cooper is my Hamilton. Even without the Interstellar tie in, I love it. Both together, unstoppable. It takes time away from some of my more expensive pieces. Its very versatile, definitely unique, and well made.
Great 3 watch Hamilton collection MWC! The Hamilton range has got so much variety, there’s literally something for everyone! The prices are a little sharper than a few years ago but you could say that about a lot of things 😂 Thank you to Francis & Gaye and to you MWC for offering a discount! I’ve purchased several watches from F&G (after mentioning I was a MWC fan) and always been really happy with the excellent service and prices.
Land - Khaki Field Mechanical (I’d have chosen the Murph, but you got there 1st) It’s a classic and the mechanical wind is beautiful! 😍 Sea - Khaki Navy Scuba Orange! Love an orange diver and this is subtle and 40mm so wearable Air - Khaki Aviation Pilot Pioneer 38mm! Vintage looks and very tool like!
For me one of the iconic Hamiltons for a 3 watch collection is the Ventura! I didn't think I like that dive watch with the crown holding in the crown guard. Who is protecting who there? They have a Navy diver with white dial and blue bezel that looks quite nice.
Land: Agree with the Murph. I have a 19.5cm wrist, so I feel like I can get away with the 42mm. It can be dressed up or down sufficiently. Air: I'm taking the Khaki Aviation Takeoff Automatic Chronograph. The whole unlocking the case to remove it as a pocket/stopwatch is just way too much fun. Sea: The huge blacked out 46mm titanium version of the Khaki Navy Automatic. It's unapologetically ridiculous and tacticool.
Land - Khaki King Champagne dial Air - Khaki X Wind Chrono (blue dial) Sea - Khaki Scuba (black dial/bezel) I should never have sold my Khaki King.... Bought the OEM bracelet. Worked as a killer GADA.... Stunning dial
I have the Murph 38 and I love it! Your review has caused me to take a second look at the Frogman…and the Cooper as well! The Frogman looks very nice!! Thanks for the review! Much love!!
I have the co op and the murph both the proper size 42mm and i paid 750 for each one from first class watches and most of these companies will give you 20% which is what your code is plus i have the psr in green led and the ventura.
I have 3 hamiltons. Khaki field bronze, the green dial intramatic chrono, and a little vintage thinomatic T500 from 1959 with the cool 666 micro rotor movement. Wear them all the time.
Love Hamilton watches. Probably my favorite all time brand. Just very clean, classy, well designed watches. They check all the boxes for me. The Khaki Field, the Boulton, the Murph, Jazzmaster Performer (super classy), Aviation Pilot Pioneer Bronze (love the small seconds hand!). I even have my great grandfathers 1930's Hamilton pocket watch that still runs perfectly. If I had to pick three.... Hmmm... Jazzmaster Performer Aviation Pilot Pioneer Bronze American Classic Boulton Quartz or a close tie with the Murph. but the Scuba and the Frogman are right up there. Maybe I need to find a sugar momma to satiate my Hamilton list. :D My wife wouldn't mind, would she?
Just bought my wife a Hamilton Jazzmaster a few weeks ago lol, had to change the straps immediatley and she loves it, Im eyeing the intra matic but im saving for my GS snowflake
The snowflake is worth it my friend, it is worth way more than its price, I love mine going into the third year of ownership, it just feels incredible and changes your entire mood.
I just got the Jazzmaster in light blue - probably the same watch as it's 34mm ( it's mostly brushed so not girly, no, not at all). I got a discount (I hope you did too). The specs and finishing - I'm impressed. There's almost no reviews of it (?).
I had the Murph 38 and sold it because I also felt it was a bit dressy for me. It is however amazing on lots of straps (should have drilled lugs though). It’s the one watch I’ve sold over the years that I can imagine buying again in the future.
Hey Russ and all. I’ve got a major issue! My boys and I have gone Casio Crazy as of late. Does Anyone save all of these boxes or straight to the recycling bin?
Russell, I know you’re a musician at heart, but mate you could be a comedy actor in a heartbeat.😂👍🏻 Always a pleasure, never a chore when it comes to your videos. Take it easy mate.🤘🏻😎
I subscribe to a few watch-related channels, but yours is by far the most entertaining. Thanks for sharing the Hamilton Frogman-I wasn't familiar with it, but it looked amazing, so I ordered one with a green face and black silicone strap. It arrived today, and I absolutely love it, so wanted to let you know and say "thanks"!
I just saw the Frogman 46mm for 800 on F&G website. Absolutely gutted as its my nest watch but just cannot afford right now!! I could've cried! I do believe the bezel is stainless steel and not aluminium, which is a relief. One question, is the murph definitely sapphire on the exhibition caseback? I've seen other reviews which say sapphire on the dial but mineral on the back. Deal breaker for me.
Why everybody love 38mm version of Murph? It's toooo small. I have a thin arm but even for me this watch looks like a women watch. It's very small. 42mm version is much much better.
The avaition fieger is neat, but I'd prefer a Stowa or Laco and not keen on the day date window appature. The Murph is an almost perfect watch , the strap is a no no . The Frogmen is interesting but expensive and not really my style of watch otherwise great short review Russell 😊
I have been interested in buying a Hamilton but off the grey market. Can get some real deals there. But if I had been smart I would have bought in 2022. Hell with the Speedmaster moon watch, give me an Interstellar!
My wife gave me a Hamilton watch a little over 30 years ago and it never worked. Had to send it back to the factory but when it came back to me it still didn’t work. Unfortunately, there are so many options in the watch world that I don’t really see myself trying another or a different Hamilton. No doubt that the exact same thing could have happened with a different brand but it’s difficult to put the poor experience aside. I’m trying!!!!
At least the wife was not as harsh on the Cooper as the others. I have owned one for a couple years and it's great. Although it's not as good as my Explorer II, sometimes I wish I'd just stayed at that level of watch. I do have a 7 inch wrist (7.25" when purchased), so while its not small, it is not remotely too big for my wrist. While the lume is not amazing, it's not bad either and I often find it glowing after even walking near a window. Certainly good enough for a pilot's watch. It's certainly better than the lume on the Khaki Field Auto I checked out at a meetup the other day (everyone brings their own UV torch, right?). I do think the Murph is a classic, but ultimately prefer the Seiko Alpinist line.
Love Hamilton, beautiful designs, have a Khaki field auto 38mm. Why oh why can they not apply lume properly!? Like come on!!!! My Casio duro feels like it’s the same brightness. It’s just absurd.
The Cooper is still a great watch but the price has doubled since it was originally released (not in step with inflation!). If you can pick one up for a keen price second hand, pull the trigger.
Pretty sure it’s gone up around 200 pounds from when I owned it in 2018 my friend but guess what I can take you back to 2018 with the special code!!! Everyone’s a winner!
I confess I'm quite a fan of Hamilton watches. I did get my field mechanical a while before the prices went up but although it may no longer be the bargain a few years ago you still get a lot of watch for the hard earned money. I have the original Murph and love it, I have seen and tried the smaller one but I still prefer mine on my 7" wrist. I don't have the 'Cooper' or the Frogman but I really like them both but I have other watches that cover that space. Great choices TMWC from a great brand. I may be one of the minority but I'm still a fan of the reimagined PSR being someone who grew up when they were originally released under the Pulsar name.
If I was going to buy a Hamilton dive watch, it would be the "Below Zero".. Matt Damon wore it in "The Martian" and it was also in the movie "Tenet" Nice choices though! Good video!
Been thinking of buying the smaller murph. I just can't get over the prices since Hamilton hiked then. With the movements inside, I don't think it's worth that much. May have to find a chrono24 bargain unless this offer is any good.
My three would be definitely the cooper, then the intramatic panda chronograph then the khaki navy scuba in green or blue, and if I could throw in a fourth I’d take the boulton 👍
My three Hamiltons are for three different occasions: my NavyPioneer with a NATO safety strap for sailing and wet weather hiking/camping ( does not fog up), my Jazzmaster chrono for fancy events and urban encounters with its alligator strap, and my every day Khaki with a simple black leather strap. They all sport a readable dial, are accurate, and survive their environment. My other watches were dalliances.
hi this is so out of context. so i have this watch, my mother’s wedding gift but then I lost it. I think it has been stolen or something. It’s Polo brand but I don’t know what type it is. I was wondering if you can recognize it with pictures
I don’t understand why power reserve wins out over beat rate. We all have multiple watches. We are all capable of winding and setting on a given morning.
Great 3 watch choice! Love the work you've been doing. Keep up the great work. Just a bit on constructive criticism on the "What the wife thinks" segment: Put a small picture of the watch back on the screen as you read what your wife says, so us viewers have a reference to what she is referring to. Aloha, from Hawaii!
I’m afraid Hamilton/Swatch have just got too greedy and the price increases are way OTT. It would be interesting to know if the price the dealers pay for their watches has increased by the same amount, so it’s definitely the Swatch group who are taking the pi$$. They’re just not the value for money brand they once were, and I think that’s sad, and will ultimately see a significant reduction in the volumes they sell versus prior to price gouging.
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR ha ha, not so my good man. I did watch to the end, and if you’re in the market for one of these, that’s an incredible offer. When I bought my Cooper, it was I think £750 RRP, I got it with a pre-Xmas discount of 10%, and some other discount, so all in all about £650. For that money, I thought it was good value, and about what I would price the watch at. Wish I’d kept it now, but like you, I sold it on because of the dial size on the wrist.
Little known brand? 😂😂😂 Hamilton is pretty well known on this side of the pond, Mate. My 1941 Boulton is my favorite of the 7 Hamiltons I own. Great reviews!
Am I the only one skipping right to the wife's section? When is she getting her own channel?
Never!
I remember MWC saying after he reached 100k subs, that she would make an appearance on the channel. Still waiting. 🤷♂️
@schmidtythekidd she says a million now!

Agree but hate the crystal, it's so bad
@@NicholasBaronMorgan the crystal is fine, it's sapphire. But it has zero antireflective coating, if Hamilton says it does, they are lying
@@ElRobin yeah exactly it looks misty due to reflection which ruins how nice the dial is I sold mine
Happy to hear that 😊 I’ve been enjoying my new Murph 38.
It’s not the most exciting watch and not as thrilling as some. But it’s for sure a classic that’ll be quite timeless.

Hamilton maked the Murph and the Ace Ventura watch... so why they never made the Linda? Or did they???
I would say we are on the same page with this collection, cheers
Just wearing the Cooper one today ❤❤ absolutely loving it
Can anyone recommend someone in the UK who can replace the crystal on my Seiko 5 (SNZG13) please?
Its a Flieger, go big or go home! 42mm fits perfect for your wrist!
Btw a flieger with no lume in the numbers😂😂
Hamilton is solid. The diver is my fave of the bunch
After seeing the frogman, I bought one. Love it!
I wasn't familiar with the Frogman, I really like it!
After watching this detailed watch review video, I have been motivated enough to rush out and buy the film Interstellar - but not buy any watches lol.
The Hamilton interstellar coop is my daily. Near perfect watch imo 👌
Add the Hamilton Intra-matic Auto Chrono and you’re all set!
I feel this rant has been made before the end of the show?!? I’ve given you a chance to make it 2020 again!!!!;)
Swatch watches used to be so cheap😢 what happened
Little known brand? 😂😂😂
Hamilton is pretty well known on this side of the pond, Mate. My 1941 Boulton is my favorite of the 7 Hamiltons I own. Great reviews!
My next watch is going to be a Khaki Field with the bronze case.
Love the frogman!
I bought a field mechanical for roughly $400 from Jomashop. My best $-for-$ watch in my collection.
Grey market…..no warranty.
@@Grasshopper0122 2-year Jomashop warranty. I would never buy a $1000+ from them but something cheaper is worth it.
Keep eyeing that frogman. Great video as always 👍
This channel is good for my marriage. Reminds me that my wife isn't the only hater and perennial complainer.
Biggest fan and biggest critic!!
