He had his own publishing, built his own studio and since he's done hundreds of recording sessions, knew what to pay his band and singers. Oh, he also wrote a little ditty called GHOSTBUSTERS!
...Another good sound by Raydio!...The good old days!...
People do.
Not understand how good that grew was radio.Ray Parker junior first group. That group has some big hits man.Too bad the young people don't know about this music
That is the best downbeat in a pop-song. Having two singers, split the verse & the chorus was brilliant! Listen to the drums, for the groove.
Actually, three singers. The keyboardist (Darren Carmichael) sings lead vocals on the last verse.
@@matthewmolkentin6230 Ray Parker Junior was intelligent to have a layered sound, and layered vocals. Three lead singers never sounded better!
@@adamlasko315 I completely agree.
more like upbeat.
44 years later this is still a awesome jam..and you can't change that. Go hard raydio
Remember buying this on a 45 when it was released ! - the whole world was a better place then !
Steve Birks AMEN TO DAT, BROTHER MAN.
Amen!
Yes it was!!!!!
Driving your car with this song playing. What a feeling! You can't change that!
Still listening in 2021💙 Ray was rocking the hell out of them boots....
And those white pants 😁
Ray was one smooth cat!
The end of glam
@@ricolewis2949 The end of bands who had a passion for their craft and truly loved performing. 🕺💃🎧🎶🎹🎼🎸🎷🌆💖
Michigan Tiffany?
These were the days. Puts a smile on my face every time.
Such a pretty song with the contrast of the tenor voice and Ray Parker’s! Big fan!!
It is so sad that people of today have no music because there is no music out for people who like music in the rap that's out is horrible unbelievable these guys making this kind of money for doing such a poor job but the music of the 70s 80s 90s will will live on forever
Yes!,Sad but true SMH
This song just makes me smile.
Me too
@@adeleeariola4695 Me three. AAaand you can't change that...
Ray had a beautiful smile on him! Super talented! 😍❤️
the backup singer is killin' it
He's got his groove on ..wow!!!
*co-lead* ...not backup
Pretty obvious as they SHARE the lyrics
Arnell Carmichael
Looks like he had a strong espresso before filming this.
@@Piwork69 he was definitely feeling the vibe and really getting into it 🎶🎵🎼🎤😛
Those opening lyrics always make me tear up 😢.. Artists back then were beast on writing them lyrics!
Sisters and brothers were cosmic back then, and like all here Raydio is another one of those groups that bring gladness to your heart......
Arnell has one hell of a voice! Loved this song/group in the day. 70s was a fantastic time to be a teen like me. His vocals are so clean and powerful with a fantastic range! Way to go Arnell!
Just listen to this song..takes you back to the old days. Class..
Definitely 👍
Ray Parker is a BEAST with those "stuck in your head" melodies!
The brothers seemed happier back in the 70s. Now they all pissed off and cussing and whatnot in songs. Bring back the 70s!
Man you knocked it out of the park with your assessment. Ray, Jr., Barry White, and George Benson all did some of the greatest music ever....they were talented. Being pissed off and making harsh statements to a beat ain't talent.
AMEN
Class will always win over trash any day!
waynewatanabemuse Dealers statement EVER !!!!!! They happy as long as " the brothers" is singing and dancing.
Darrius Vincent *Realest
What a great disservice it is that these few lines (and his vocals in "Jack and Jill") are all I can find sung by Arnell Carmichael as a young man. What a voice! It should be all over the internet.
Arnell was a very powerful presence for Radio. I believe he did go solo, but with no success.
Proud that I grew up in the 70s n 80s!!! Can't change that if I wanted to! ❤
Same!
same here
Powerful smooth Love Song and Inspirational 🎼🎼💯💯
Love love love Ray Parker! Great songwriter. Great singer. Awesome guitar player. Great memories...

A much simpler, better and eclectic era definitely. This upbeat melody personifies those impressive times with smooth harmonies and pertinent lyrics. And you can't change that.
Haven't heard this in ages! Still terrific of course!! Can't change that!!✨✨✨✨
I am a qualified lesbian and you can't change that
This is one of those songs that you never forget, and love😍😍😍😍
One of the most UNDERRATED band's of the 70's
Switch is another one. El Debarge brother's band.
Pure magic from a magical & simpler time when they had talent & REAL GOOD music!
Too bad about the plagiarism charge against Ray. I wonder how much he had to pay.
I like the hit he had a few years later, about how he’s issuing the warning to his ex girlfriend that if she thinks it’s over, she’s wrong.
I always loved Ray Parker. And he can’t change that ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😃
Played this back when I was in high school. Still like to hear it today
