My future husband and I had our first date Oct 5, 1979. I was 16 and he was 18. I was still in high school. After our date, I was staying at a friend's house for a sleepover and was the last one asleep. In the darkness, amidst my sleeping friends, I was watching the light of her stereo and thinking of this boy. This song came on like a beacon in the darkness and somehow, I knew he was the one. Humbert, your point is valid. Not only are most folks today unaware of Ray Parker's solo artist songbook and hits decades ago, but those same folks are oblivious to the fact that Ray went on to a serious career as a producer, arranger, guitar session player and part-time performer in bands like the Crusaders and others. 70s 4 me im just fine
One of the coolest soul songs ever released on Raydio👍
Arnell has one hell of a voice! Loved this song/group in the day. 70s was a fantastic time to be a teen like me
one of my personal favorite songs.
Simply one of the best songs ever, enough said.
Nicholas Donaldson yip you are not wrong
No doubt one if not my all time favorite from this band , I play it 10x before I turn off my cellphone & with their 3 part harmony and 3 guys singing is great effect instead of just the lead singing !
Best Soul record ever made. Gr from Holland 🧀 🚲
