I love decorating my outpost and homes! Honestly, when I first opened the creation UI and realized that we were in charge of decorating, I got so excited! (I'm a long-time Sims fan and personally play the whole game in build mode.) As much as I love it, it could be better. I would like to see more furniture added, but why not have stores instead of labs? I would prefer to walk into a furniture store located in each major city and interact with an NPC with their own personalities to unlock more furniture or, especially, to buy clutter! The build mode has no clutter options, and the only way to get random objects like books, pens, or even succulents for display is to steal them from strangers' desks! I just want to make my home feel more lived-in and be able to place a blender or other objects on the counters, but where do I go to get that besides stealing? Having a furniture store could also mean paying the salesperson to furnish your homes! I have seen many complaints about people being unhappy because they don't have the option to purchase their places already furnished and they just ignore decorating because it's just not for them, which I completely understand! I'm majoring in interior design, so this is my forte, but that doesn't mean it's everyone else's either.
have you done the vultures roost mission there is a room full of rare decorations and i think you can reach your ships cargo from there so you can dump it straight in to it

How do u get the apartment? thru a quest? & do u have a decorating tutorial cause I use a controller on PC & I can get things to sit right, turn on certain axis's & stuff. That info would be awesome. I really want to decorate my little spot I built but placing objects is a super P.I.A.
you get the apartment during the Vanguard quest on New Atlantis - regarding a decoration tutorial, I've not planned anything, but this might change when we get some expansions to beef out the available decorations
That's the trick. I had swiped one of the Dibella statues to put in the living room in Hjerim. I came back to find it gone. Turns out it was about 20 feet below the map, like it was in the sunken place.
How do you get all this stuff (the furniture, not the junk items)? I don't even have half of these things in my build menu. The double bed, for example. It's not even on my list of items as an option. Is this something that comes from levelling up skills? Which skills?
Do you intend to decorate the small crate in Neon ? There's not enough content there for a full video but maybe for a RUclips-Short ? I really enjoyed to decorate this place and make it the more efficient possible with the small place you've got. (Though I've stopped playing this game for a while now).
I agree. The Ne0n sleep crate is a really challenging but creative build. I’m excited to start seeung the Skyrim/Fallout builders starting to showcase their starfield home builds.
Dude be careful of this apartment theirs a weird bug that delete everything from the apartment i lost everything including the mantis armor and alot of legendary gear

our director is German, so less fortuitous and more him deliberately scheduling our big annual meeting around the same time lol - it was very fun, our company even booked a section of a large beer tent

You may need the "Outpost Design" perk, then use the research station to unlock Furniture Level 3.
So you save while in the room , then exit to menu , then load? I hope the patch that is coming will add more items to the "decorations" menu.
yup - do a save, exit the game/go to the start menu and then reload

Isn’t there a bug that wipes everything in the penthouse after a certain mission? Have they patched it?

nope this is from a quest - if you google it, it'll give you instructions
On this aspect I wish it was a lot like skyrim where you can ask the jarls stuart to purchase pre programed decor but thats just my opinion 😅
