You can build walkways off a 2 storey hab onto the landing pad and then delete the hab to allow building on the landing pad itself (on top of the walkways), there is also a way to make an airlock so close to the steps of the landing pad that it looks like it joins. There's videos out there on it, would love to see your creativity with this!
You can kinda use the tall white shelves to make internal rooms. They go all the way up to the ceiling, so they look like walls if you rotate them so they're facing backwards.
I love the medium and small barns because it just feels strange walking in and out of an airlock constantly when I’m on a planet like Jemison in my outpost by new Atlantis
I'm not exactly sure why I didn't see that the ginormous circular landing field could be the center of an outpost, but you've shown me the clear error of my ways. 👏
They should have made slot locations on the shipbuilder for airlocks. It's a pain to try to line it up with the edge of the platform at the right height, but I do it because it's worth it.
Theres a set of glitches that let you build habs over the landingpads. Both large and tiny. You build a walkway off the 2 high hab. Then delete the hab. Afterwards you can attach stuff to the halls to build over the landing area. The airlocks can be clipped thru the railing for the stairway as well.
My ship builder console keeps bring up outpost builder never brings up ship building menu. I’m on Xbox X console is this why I’m having this problem? Is just for pc game.
You unlock more ship parts as you level up, the last unlock is at level 60, there are specialist items locked at the main suppliers and as you mentioned several items licked my quests
check out some work done by another youtuber where he sticks the entrance pod in the structures items right on the landing pad entrance and thus allowing him to build other structures on the same level as the landing pad. Cool shit
so I discovered something with the landing pad by accident. if you scrap it while the ship is on it it will not go away and now you can build on it, need to do some testing by adding it back.
So I made a launch pad, but it doesn't show on my map, anyone know how to fix this, are pads not working? He made a launch pad, so they do work? What's the story?
You should see your outpost location on the map just like you normally would if you wanted to fast travel to it. Then when you fast travel to your outpost your ship will automatically be on the landing pad. There is no new icon specifically just for the landing pad.
When Pirates magically spawn at your Outpost, they will spawn right at the Outpost Beacon location just like the player does when they land from ships or fast travel to Outpost Location. I’ve had this happen twice to me. Usually somewhere around 6-8 Pirates. It in itself makes it surprising as well hilarious when your just thinking of landing at your Outpost only to have a surprise attack when you land spawn in at the Outpost Base going WTF is going on here. Oh, Pirate Surprise Attack 😂. So always beware that even just landing at your base can have surprises. So, you definitely don’t want the Outpost beacon just right up right next to the habitat. You at least want the Outpost Beacon to remain at a location where the Base Defense Turrets can clearly point at the beacon to shoot spawning Pirates at its location for defense. From that location the Pirates spread out and attack your Power Generation and Resource Extractors damaging and off lining them.
@@Oðrun They will if they landed in the spawn area generated by Landing on planet/moon, which i've had also happen before for Base Invasion at least twice. But the one which happen where they were all clustered at the Outpost Beacon came as a total surprise to me as it occured on returning back to the moon from traveling from far east side of map and landing at the Outpost. To which i was like WTH Stunned. Surprise!
They need to fix what we’ve got before they add anything else. The more I’ve played the more broken things I’ve encountered; quests, outpost lighting, disappearing weapons, skills not working, crew benefits not working, bugged weapon stats, broken shields after taking shield systems. The list keeps growing unfortunately. The only patch so far was tiny and hasn’t fixed any of the big issues yet. 7/10 is a fair Steam score for the state the game’s in now.
@@StefanHighlights-InquisitorOvh So because you haven’t had these problems, that means everyone saying they have is just hating on the game right? That’s a really sensible conclusion to draw, I applaud your intellect sir. FYI - I play on Xbox series X, the platform the game was intended for, and all these are genuine issues I’ve encountered. I also happen to LIKE the game, despite its problems, and 7/10 is hardly a “hate” score. Maybe you should get your facts straight before calling someone out as a liar
This made me curious and I think I found the guy - this one? ruclips.net/video/D47jmMWj3fs/видео.html If you click 'more' on the description, it'll show you the exact date it was publishd, and you'll see that my video was posted several weeks before his. While I do like the ship builder pad, but I just wish I could drop it down.
Arvak looks brilliant!
Yes!! Loving the Starfield videos

It’s wild to me that we don’t have any foundations to lay out some flat land.
Great video, i finally got into outpost building 😊
I wish they added internal rooms or walls for us to use.

I wish we had outside scaffolding and walkways. And some smaller habs so we don’t have so much empty interior space to fill
I love the medium and small barns because it just feels strange walking in and out of an airlock constantly when I’m on a planet like Jemison in my outpost by new Atlantis
The scan jammer along with shielded cargo is only accessible at the Key (crimson fleet base) and The Red Mile locations 👍😁
1:13 Ah, Arvak... Such a good horse.

This game. Made me install fallout 4 and revisit all your old fallout rug glitches

Hey, I'm on ng+ 10 now and tried to build this on new game but says I already have one. I cant delete old one as was first play through

can you build a battleship? Or is there a limit to what you can do that is sudden?
There are size and power limits but you can still make something thats pretty big with plenty of firepower
@@The_CardWizard thanks

I am still testing this if I can get it to work I believe you can really go ham on the pad.

That's weird. My experiences with outpost attacks had them entering from the outer perimeter.

I set up a trio of guns around my beacon.
Let them spawn there again. They have only spawned once.
You can build on top of the landing pad by expanding with walkways FYI

Maybe branch out to some old content? Really enjoyed you kitbashing some genestealers! (Yes, I'm that old of a subscriber)
Sarah says oh nice a bigger place to drop off all that rubbish you collected

Several minutes into the vid and haven’t said how to get the landing pad. Just babbling
lol its literally in the build menu - you need a guide on how to open that up?
