    I would listen to this song everyday. Very simple yet refined song. The type of song you listen to as you approach the sunset.

    James Hopkins-Harrison is among the most overlooked singers in the business. The man could sing the phone book. Sadly, we lost him in 1991. Another special one gone.

      I miss him all I hear is storys...scottish boy from a little town called viewpark....best songwriter ever in my books...he would appreciate you still listening to the songs on 2022...sadly i was away on holiday when he tryed to vist me when I was younger...love listening to my uncle James x love and peace x

      Fuck yeah I'm a guitar player, so that's what I pay attention to I rarely give a crap about vocalists. But this guy is exception. Guitar player is not too shabby either.

      If you listen to him closely it is almost as if he is double tracking his voice. It was so powerful that is sounds like two people singing.

      @@chrisstrachan8882 so is James your uncle? One of my favorite singers for more than 40 years. You should write an article about him and his life. Many fans would like to know more about him tragic that he lost his life to addiction, but he left a legacy of great music.

    Still have three albums of them. Saw them live in Cologne, Müngersdorfer Stadion, Open Air, Support for Manfred Man´s Earth Band and Genesis 1978! It was really, really great to be there! Rcorded this secretly with my cassette-deck on batteries! ;-)

    James Hopkins-Harrison was among the most overlooked singers in the business. The man could sing the phone book. What an amazing range. Sadly, he passed in 1991 from a drug overdose. Music lost another special one.

    These guys opened up for Nektar in NYC back in 1977. Loved them and got their first 2 albums...great to see them here as they were back in the day.

    I have just bought the first 2 LAKE albums second hand - vinyl - ....... nice memories ..... and brillaint music..... thus I was looking for authentic live videos .... hard to find.. I totally enjoy to listen to their music ....great

    It's sad that the anniversary of someone's death is almost forgotten. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the website that mentioned 17 May 1991. The music makes James Hopkins-Harrison immortal. A live recording (only audio) from 1977 has been available on RUclips for some time using the search terms lake on the run philadelphia - impressive!

    Ok, how I discovered this amazing band. A few years ago I was standing in the CD department of a Best Buys when this song for some reason was playing, lol. Liking it, I of course wanted to know the band, so I Googled the lyrics. Been a fan since then. Shame this incredible band never achieved the stardom that they should have.

    The best Germany Band from the mid 70th.I saw them 2 times live -one time with Chi Coltrane. They were fantastic live. Thanks for this great video clip

      @@karrZ-mi5km I didn't notice at first, but you are right. His voice and the cowbell. Maybe that explains the dead audience. They knew it wasn't a real performance, and perhaps this was the 4th take. Great voice though! (And this was done on a lot of shows at the time, with complete lip syncing).

    I went to a promo concert for the band. Tower theater Philly. The guitarist,Alex told me he learned in the Boy Scouts. Great show. He played a Flying V. They killed Black Friday!

    Gesang live, der Rest Playback ...interessant. Die LP ist eine der besten Scheiben, die ich besitze - und ich besitze viele.
    Schade, daß James Hopkins Harrison ein so tragisches Ende nahm und der Rest der Band anscheinend samt und sonders im "bürgerlichen Leben" landete.

    That audience is not right placed here . So great musicians with so bad audience. It is the first thing you see in that video. Fortunatly the musicians don't care about that bad influence of some in the audience and play their song great till the end.
