    So why don’t you include a sheet with the specific specs for that vehicle in the kit. That would help people tremendously.

    I’m looking forward to getting my lift and wheels installed at your shop in a couple weeks. I just had my rock sliders installed the other day. You’ve got a great shop Jeff and everyone there is great, especially Thomas who helped me with my order.

    I think it would be helpful if you included detailed alignment and installation instructions with every kit you sell. I imagine most of your customers have these installed by other shops who just don’t understand how precise it has to be in order to ride as intended.

      It’s obviously a big enough issue to warrant Jeff making this video. It’s great that he’s personally willing to talk to customers, but he’s very busy running a company and simply adding detailed instructions to every kit they ship out would eliminate thousands of calls and upset customers.

      100% Agree that the kits need to come with install instructions and alignment specs. I just got my kit and nothing in the box, called Westcott and was told to locate a RUclips video. Come on... just include the instructions and the specs please.

    Jeff is it possible to put a bigger lift (Westcott Design) on a 23 Tundra Pro. I understand you have the 2 inch lift and that is as high as you guys wanted to go to keep the factory ride. If I am ok with it riding harder can you put a bit higher lift? 2 inches to me is not worth the effort or expense my opinion. I am ONLY putting a Westcott lift on my truck or it will stay stock... I was hoping for a 4 inch lift or at least level 4 in. in the front 2 1/2 in back or how ever it measures out. .

    On the hybrid systems, they have a vibration issue. Toyota is aware of it. Will these kits make that issue worse?

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  Месяц назад

      We like to pin back the liners if we can. We prefer not to cut out the liners. 35’s don’t need the lines cut at all. Depending on what brand 37 you run you may need to trim the liners.

  • @TheAyotteMan
    @TheAyotteMan 9 месяцев назад +1

    Thanks for the educational videos, Jeff.
    I’m missing something on offset though. If I want some poke should I be going for a 18+ or 18-? I feel like I’ve seen them poke on both so it makes me think I’m missing something. Is it different for every wheel/maker?

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  9 месяцев назад +1

      + numbers from 0 on up continue to pull the wheel in under the vehicle. - numbers starting at 0 on up pushes the wheel out further. And the offset effects different vehicles different ways and this is because of the hub location that the wheel bolts to its location. A Tundra with a 18x9 with a +18 still has 1.5” out side the fender or poke. The higher the + number like a factory tundra wheel is a +56 or +60. This is is so it has even amount of load on the hub and bearing to lower the chance for failure and maximize it’s life.

    I'm putting 34" on my stock 20" wheels on my 22 tundra 1794 AVS - I have your 1" rear and 3" front leveling spacers -Toyota is going to do the alinement - On your spec sheet would that be the Tundra 4x4 22-23 (except TRD Pro) spec numbers?

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  9 месяцев назад +1

      That is correct. How wide of a tire are you going to run? Make sure they are dead on or just under and it will work great. Don’t let them tell you they got it close but couldn’t get it right there. Then ask them if other people are getting the numbers exactly why can’t they. If they say different truck tell them no same truck same lift with correct numbers😉

    Hey jeff hope you’re doing very well my friend, i got a 2024 Tundra Limited TRD Off Road, i just put a set of 35” x 12.50 R20 on stock suspension, no rubbing at all not even at full lock, but i lost my alignment sir, it tends to pull to the right. I took it to toyota dealership they make the alignment and still pulling to the right, so went back to toyota and this guys put another set of tires of another tundra and drives perfectly straight, so what’s seems to be the problem?? To i need to put the leveling kit to get the alignment??? Is 0.00 in all tires at balance wise!!! If you have any idea please i will appreciate your input sir, thanks!!

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  2 месяца назад +2

      So all tires affect the way the vehicles drives a little different. This is why we always suggest an alignment any time some does new tires. You can also rotate tires and depending how they have been wearing will cause it pull or wonder. You may have had a bad tire if it pulled and if it was moved to another location on the truck and it caused it to pull in the other direction. We see more out of round tires these days and rebalancing them does not make them round again it just makes them heavier. Please feel free to call me any time with questions or concerns on my cell.
      Thanks again,
      Jeff Westcott

    I hear that once you put an after market lift kit- Toyota will null the warranty.

    • @westcottdesigns
      @westcottdesigns  8 месяцев назад +1

      They can not void your warranty. Here is how warranty works. If you change something on your vehicle, and that part that you change fails or cause failure on any other Toyota parts, they will not cover it, but they cannot for the warranty on any other parts. Example: if you change the wheels on your truck and change the offset and the wheel bearing goes out, and Toyota can prove that the additional load, because of the wheel offset caused the wheel, bearing to fail, they can void the warranty on that wheel bearing and that wheel bearing only. I have been doing my lift since 2015 and some of the vehicles now have 150k miles on them and have yet to have our lift cause failure on the suspension or any other part. We sell them to over 400 Toyota dealers.

Let’s just say it has been over engineered😊. Oh yah not to mention I have been in the automotive industry my who life and my parents who life and my grand parents. So yea I’m well rounded in this stuff to say the least. I still work with Toyota Engineering to this day. But hey what do we all know these days🤷
