If you just level your truck and leave the factory suspension geometry the same, you don’t “Need” new break lines. They are limited to the OEM travel. It’s up to you. If you get better suspension that allows for more droop/articulation then I would HIGHLY recommend new and longer lines.
The reason the rear can not be extended any further and the rear shocks are so short is because when the truck is at full droop the upper rear links would hit the upper rear corner of the gas tank.
Do I need brake lines if I am just leveling it with the 1.75-inch kit in the front? I have a 2022 Tundra and I actually plan on lifting it really soon.
I waiting on wescott designs collar kit with the trd struts and shocks. They say it has brackets that give the brake lines some slack. Will that be a new design they came up with after this video or do I still need extended brake lines?
Thanks, great video and great good info as always! Keep up the good work. Truck looks awesome. Question though, can the Toyota dealer recalibrate the Spedo for the bigger tires? I’ve been wondering about that.
Toyota did a 2 inch lift with 18s. I wanted to lift 3.5 inches, but they told me it will voided the warranty. will be pricy to lift 1.5 more? is not worth it.
After lifting/leveling your truck did you have to recalibrate you front camera and/or precollision sensors etc.??? If not do you feel or see any differece in the camera or precollisn sensor warning?
My dealership is installing the westcott lift when my truck arrives will i need to worry about alignment and these brake lines or will the dealership handle it?
Break-ins they most likely won't alignments they should but I would confirm. But if you are putting bigger tires on too then put those on before the alignment
Hi Jon love the content, have a question for you , I also bought the wescott 3 and 1 but haven’t installed it yet did you have problems with Toyota Saftey sense sensors
Is there anyway you could post some pictures of the truck looking down the side? I’d like to really get a good idea of the stance with a 0 offset. Looking at 18x9 in a 0 or a -12 offset and need a better idea
I don't see the reason for going to a 17" rim. I'm keeping my sock rims and putting a 1" spacer behind rim and going to run a 285 75 r18 which is 1/4 inch shorter than a 35". I'm going with tuff country 3" front 1.5" rear spacer lift. with icon delta joint upper control arms. Thanks for letting us know about the rear brake lines I will be getting those to.
I wonder how the trd pro will be since it’s higher then the regular tundra..,.also Jon like I mentioned b4 I bought 22x10 fuel rebel matte blk -13 offsets for my trd pro tires I went with is 285/55/r22 nitto recon grapplers…I hope I won’t rub that much I’m sure I’ll have to tuck the liner in like u did 🤷🏻♂️ I should be getting my pro the end of this week or def next week…it’s already intransit to its destination
@@TRDJon thanks bro me too gonna be sick….Color is lunar rock with red cockpit I got the trd cast aluminum running boards, bed step, silver/red lettering for the rear tailgate, trd performance air filters all stuff I ordered from dealership…what came from the factory directly was tie down hooks and door edge guards which favored for me cause kept msrp low…👍🏻I did have tho a 2g markup that’s it
Hey, I just got a 2023 pro....was wanting to put 35s on it? don't want to mess up the fox shocks and the ride too much...what did you end up doing on your Pro?
For all wondering about the Westscotts 3” in the front and 1” in the back it is the worst riding truck I have ever been in. I did everything right from installation to alignment to wheel and tire set up and it is extremely unstable at 70 plus. And don’t even try and pull a trailer unless you’ve already lost your teeth. Great quality product but just doesn’t work well with the bilstein shocks up front.
I did a 2 inched lift at the Toyota dealer when I purchase the Vehicle and it not voided the warranty. I wanted to lift it more but they said 2 inch lift was the max they could do to keep the warranty @user-hu2fg5sv4y

LMAO
Lifting the new tundra is a must looks 1000 times better
That they do

Did you void the factory warranty?
The reason the rear can not be extended any further and the rear shocks are so short is because when the truck is at full droop the upper rear links would hit the upper rear corner of the gas tank.
Limiting factor for aftermarket you think then?
@@TRDJon yah a lot of limiting factors in the new design. Just have to work around those😉
Can’t wait to see it
Do you know if the TRD Pro has the same break lines?
I ordered the westcott designs collar lift and want to do LT315/70R18s for my pro.
Thanks!
@@jeffcefalia923 Don't put a collar lift on a 70k truck. That's just dumb.
The wheel and tire combo looks badass beautiful truck
Thanks man!
Good info for the Tundra owners
Just haven’t seen a lot of people talking about it.
So i wonder if you get the lift from toyota and have toyota install it the brake line is already accounted for
Truck looks 🔥
Thanks man
Did this void you warranty or only the suspension part of the warranty
Do I need brake lines if I am just leveling it with the 1.75-inch kit in the front? I have a 2022 Tundra and I actually plan on lifting it really soon.
Got my westscotts lift ready to be installed. Ty for the info
No worries!
how are you liking it a year later?

So 1 inch in the rear will max out the brake lines?
It says page not found going to rrw wheels link?

"dealership if you trust em" lololol I felt that
Lol just sayin haha

Please excuse my ignorance, where can you get the longer break lines?

Just got my TRD pro. Looking to get a bigger lift and this is always a good change for lifts. Liking the wheels..
Right on! Enjoy!
Hey Jon do we need the extended break lines for just the back or both front and back?
3:50
Depends on your lift but the back is the shorter of the two
Plz could you tell me where you get the little Trd stiker on your front grill thank you like you videos
It was from Tufskinz

Not at all. Worked just like stock
Is this the same kit that on their site says it’s 2.5 in front and 1 in rear?
Should be yes
Got a 2022 HV Tundra, put the westcott lift and 35's on it. Only getting 11mpg, anybody else having issues with the MPG?
Lay off the fun having pedal lol
@@TRDJon I wish that was the issue! Been driving in ECO mode like a grandpa.
Take it out of eco. I’ve seen on the FB page that people get worse using it.
where do you get the TRD decal?
Tufskinz. I have a whole video on all their products. Check here: ruclips.net/video/IWyPWpx-iog/видео.html

How did you like the westcott 3” front and 1” rear so far ?!?! Looking for a level / lift kit for my 22 tundra right now
I have heard that the Off Road Bilstein shocks are rendered ineffective with a lift. Is this true?
I don't see how
Is this wind chill pearl?
No just Super White which is now called Ice Cap

I have several videos walking around it and you can check out my Instagram as well. TRD.Jon

How about gearing?
Not needed.
Does a lift kit void your warranty
Not this one
You didn't even mention the drivers side axle that breaks from being overextended.
Cuz it doesn't with this lift.

What color is this truck ?? Is it the normal white ?
Yes just normal white
@@TRDJon thank you for the response !
Is the new gen tundra what you expected or are you over the hype compared to other truck brands?
I haven’t experienced other truck brands aside from old fords or my 2014 Silverado honestly.
Looks great! But has your rear axle fallen off yet? Thanks
Yes it has
What mpg are you getting with this new combo? Is this the same engine as the sr5 model? I was thinking of buying a lower level and modding
Around 15-16

No good without mudflaps.
Id pass on the westcott the ride is shit if you dont get a perfect alignment even then you loose over 20% softness
what are those?! 😂 🕶
HUGE pos!! 2” leveling kits are blowing out seals in these POS trucks
Listen to this before buying a ‘22 Tundra. Get a ‘21. Best advice you’ll get anywhere on the internet I promise.
