This is the sickest Yukon I’ve ever seen. The engineering is unmatched. I have the 23 Denali but am going to switch to the at4 suburban and when I do I will give you guys a call. Question, how do you open the back lift gate with that ladder? And can you mount a light bar on the front of that roof rack or would that make too much noise?
We have never mounted a light on any of them but I can tell you the roof rack is super quiet. Could you? For sure. The ladder opens with the hatch and works really well. It’s great to get up to the roof👌
I recently purchased a 2024 Platinum Tundra. It does not have the TRD package. Would this kit work on my truck? If not , What would I need to achieve a 3" lift?
Will the front suspension with all the spacers (top and bottom’s) eventually settle the front end to provide some sort or rake for the rear to sit just a tad higher? Or will it remain completely leveled ?
It’s actually about a 1/4 inch lower in the front then rear but you can leave out the half inch shim in the front to be 3/4” lower lower or set the ring clip on the lower setting instead of the top setting. The strut has 2 settings
@@westcottdesigns Thanks for the info! I want it LIFTED all the way 😆. Look forward to one day taking a road trip and getting it installed by you folks. Awesome work!
Hi Jeff, informative video... I understand from this video that if I already have the TRD Offroad Package on my 2024 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition, all I need to have get the 3.7 lift is chaninging the strut?
I have a Limited TRD offroad and your westcott lift but I havent installed yet. where can i get the struts that come in the trd lift kit? I want to use your kit with those struts.
@@westcottdesignswich kit did you used on this set up? TRD pro or TRD off-road kit? I have also your kit for TRD Off-road. So I just need the struts for this set up? Thanks in advance.
They are both the exact same at full compression as well. They don’t get to far outside the box when they design stuff. The TRD kit arms are the exact same geometry as the stamped steel arms as well.
Hey great videos, watch them all the time. Quick question does the package with the shocks give you a higher lift than just the preload collar lift? Descriptions both say 3in in front but the backs are different? Thanks!
So our kit that is called a 3/1 it is 2.35” in the front and 7/8” in the rear. The TRD KIT we now offer is a full 3” front and 1 5/8” rear. It requires either the red axles or the silver axles. This is because the black axle cups are not long enough and will cause the CV’s to fall out. The black axles are only really good to a max of 2.5”.
Hello Sir, if you use your TRD kit with red axles on a limited TRD off-road and using the factory 20” wheels, can you fit a 295/65/R20 tire without using a shim? Thanks for any information. Great channel and great product
I was thinking exact same thing. I am installing mine this weekend and wondering will I include the front spacer or not. Please post the ride quality video and more exterior angles of how the truck sits. Was maybe 5 seconds at the end of the video for the real money shot
I ordered your lift for Trd pro/1794 limited. Would you recommend ordering these longer struts as well - or a different kit entirely? Also how large of a tire can you fit on the factory 20In rims with the lift kit, without rubbing? 295/65/20? Thanks!
@@seanmurphy4571 you could run a 37” but the problem is that the factory 20” wheel has a very positive offset and you can’t run wider then a 11.5 wide without rubbing on the control arm or even on the sway bar
Question / The TRD PRO strut needs a WD collar to to be at the same position as the TRD factory lift kit strut, but the TRD offroad strut stock collar is at the same position as the TRD factory lift kit strut. The TRD PRO is lifted 1.1 inch on factory fox struts . Does that mean the TRD PRO have a more stiff coil spring?? You mentioned that the TRD PRO and TRD offroad both have 9 wound springs
That is correct both the TRD PRO and TRD kit spring have 9 windings creating a taller spring which in return creates more preload which would cause it to be stiffer. When we made our collar to work on the factory spring we did not as much preload which made a really nice ride. We did not go for as much lift as the TRD kit offers but this allows for a more rebound. We are putting a full kit together for the consumer that will offer a total package for a fraction of the price.
@westcott designs. Wondering if the black hitachi front strut top spacer and bottom preload collar is compatible with the red bilstein suspension? I purchased an used westcott front pair pre-installed on black hitachi shocks but would rather transfer the wescott lift over to my red bilsteins if possible. is that even possible?
No we just added the TRD struts and shocks and our collar kit. The customer wanted his springs red so we powder coated them here in the shop. We did run our 1.5” rear puck instead of our 1” rear puck.
First, thanks for the response. Gotcha. I have a limited trd off road. So all I need to do is purchase is trd strut and collar lift? Sorry if that’s a dumb questions.

@@westcottdesignsthis is incorrect information, the silver TRD axles are completely different my friend. Longer and have different higher angle CV joints.
