Great video, very helpful, thank you. Keep diving into the Tundra upgrades. I love it!
That's the plan!
Great video with amazing detail on the whole package. 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent information guys! 👍 Thank you and very well done video.
Great kit! Truck rides fantastic and handles exceptionally well. I had Toyota install the kit on the new Platinum Hybrid and gave up on the TRD Pro. No regrets, and I wanted to preserve the full warranty.
This kit is the way to go. No aftermarket can touch it
How much did the dealer charge for install?
My dealership in FL charged me between $1500-1650.00 to install the kit on my 23' Tundra TRD Limited Hybrid. @@oakdmc20
@@oakdmc20local is about $7500-9000 to install. It’s a WAY better deal to get it done at the factory
Yes
Great video!
Thanks!
I'd love to see yall break down the 3rd gen pro suspension
35x12.5 is the best tire to use on this lift without any rubbing and factory ride quality. Also it looks perfect and the poke is minimal. Wish i had taken a better picture of the truck they had at the dealer with those specs.
Awesome video!
Thanks!
The install and for the 3” lift Kit in British Columbia, Canada was $8,000. It wasn’t cheap, but the warranty and engineering on the handling suspension was worth it to me.
you have a channel /video on it?
or IG acct
Did your dealership offer to finance or do you know if you can finance instead of paying $8000 one shot ?
Please let me know, thanks a lot
8000 Canada or US?
@@NaregArzoumanian I’m sure you can finance it when you are buying the new truck at the same time.
Going with the Westcott TRD lift w/ TRD shocks and struts for 1/4 of the price. Also adding Dobinson 1” rear springs. I’m not doing any off-roading though.
Thank you for a great video guys Would the lower knuckle bracket benefit anyone with a lift , making the alignment easier ? can this be installed without the extended silver axle ? Thank you
Great video! Toyota would make a killing if they offered kits like this for 5th Gen 4 Runners and 3rd Gen Tacos
They do make a kit for the Tacoma but not for the 4runner, to my knowledge anyway.
Totally agree! 👍
Great video. I wish they had a similar kit for the 2.5 gen Tacoma. 🤔
They actually have a TRD lift kit for the 05-23 Tacoma!
I did price out another kit for a 3” lift on the Tundra and it was approximately $ 6,200.00. Again this after market kit was great, but the suspension warranty would be void.
Hey there, love your review on this kit. I have this kit and I think its a good kit. I like to get a bigger 2.5 shocks later on, but for now it's good now. But anyway where did you buy your black tundra tailgate insert letter?
Hey! They are available on our website! yotaxpedition.com/collections/3g-toyota-tundra-blackout-kits
I wish Toyota would build a one-ton. As much as I like Toyota it will not carry or pull what my F-350 can do easily.
go buy a Hino
They better make one of these for the LC250
Is it possible to run all the rest of this TRD upgrade without lifting ?...Simply because I like all the stronger parts, for purpose of having better durability/ longer lasting? Also wanted to know if I'm able use Bilstein 8112 or 6112's up front ? Mostly highway driving with light fire dirt roads.. Colorado back roads .. Also thinking of upgrading to TRD red solid Sway-bar to help limiting the body rolls.
When is a leveling kit coming out? For a 2024 Tundra SR5
Would love to see Toyota offer same lift kit as on TRD Pro, to me it looks better than this 3” lift kit.
How much more droop will these give?
Hi so I got This exact Toyota lift and nitro grappler tires 285 65 20. Which is not much bigger than the stock tires. That is also the recommendation by Toyota for this kit. The tires are rubbing the front sway bar when turning. Toyota is having this issue across the board. What can I do about this ? Seems like they really dropped the ball here they are willing to put on smaller tires which I am against bc that was the point of the lift to accommodate the larger tires. They are looking into a fix but who knows how long that's going to take please help
Will this lift kit solve the alignment issue on 3rd gen tundra? Any that had this kit installed has any alignment issue?
Towing capacity and payload capacity one TRD suspension lift kit?
Can it be done on a 2024 tundra pro
How can i tell if toyota installed the new axles or re used the old? I got 1794 from a dealer demo i noticed they did the trd pro wheels but put the wrong centercaps back in now i cant find what ones actually fit with the red trd.
So are the CV Axles different in the Platinum trim with the TRD off Package than the standard SR5 black Axles that you mentioned ?
every offroad package and the pro has the better axle.
Running the Wescott Lift 3/1 on my SR5 and achieving the same looks for $1,200 CAD installed. She’s a pavement princess to me and rides 96% to stock. A little stiff in the front end but I’ll take it when comparing numbers to the comments for this lift. That being said, you have the money for this go nuts 🤘🏼
What is the biggest tires you can put with this lift without rubbing or modifications using the stock trd 20 inch rims?
35X12.5 is the size you want on those 20s. When I went to pick up my plates on my 2024. They had one with the factory lift and it came with the 20s. So 35x12.5 was the perfect tire size so there is no rubbing and rides OEM. When I finish paying off my truck, that's the exact setup I'm going with. It looks amazing, and it rides exceptional.
For lift and install in Anchorage Alaska Cost is a little less than 5,000.
22-24 Toyota Tundra -- Do you know if the new TRD Shock (Rear) from the TRD Lift Kit is the same length as the TRD Pro Fox Shock (Rear)? Curious since the new TRD Shock (Front) is the same length as the TRD Pro Fox Shock (Front). Thanks in advance. I'm really interested in this shock upgrade!!
The pro shock is smaller. Look up the part number schematics.
Why don't you guys ship to Canada?!
Do you guys know if the kit this video is reviewing contains the same exact components as the lift kit installed on 2024 Tundras at the factory during the build for an additional $4000?
Can anyone explain the importance of the sway bar spacers? Don’t see them as a part of other kits from Icon/King etc.
For a sway bar to operate properly it needs to be level. When you lift a vehicle the sway bar is no longer level but pointing down. Spacing out the sway bar brings it back to a more level position allowing it to be more effective.
Do you guys sell that 4X4 topo badge on your site?
Yes sir we do!! yotaxpedition.com/collections/3g-toyota-tundra-blackout-kits
Does the TRD offroad limited with red axles still require the axle upgrade to properly install this kit?

Just got a 2024 tundra with this lift kit. what tires would you suggest? are 35's ok without trimming?
We have some Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires that we will be mounting on our team members 3rd gen Tundra. If anything you might need to remove your front mud flaps.
35X12.5 no trimming or any issues. My dealer when I picked up my plates had one lifted and those were the tire specs they used for no rubbing and good ride quality and looks great also
I already have a new TRD Pro. What would I need to give my TRD Pro another 2 or 3 inches ??
westscott lift kit. only $500 and you get to keep your factory fox suspension. What's the point of forking out the dough for a trd pro just to switch it's suspension system for aftermarket?
Do you guys have a video of the TRD lift kit for a Tacoma
No we don't. Should we make one?
Please do
My 2024 Tundra came with this factory kit, can I upgrade just the shocks to Fox 2.5 and keep the rest the same ? I’m so glad this came with mine and got a 6,700 discount!! 😊
was it fitted at the factory? or dealer install?
Brother if you got this when you bought the truck, I assure YOU!!! You didn’t get any discount. You PAID!
@@neckofthewoods24
Just so you know, I still paid for it. Any type of suspension isn’t free, and no suspension company offers a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty without impacting the factory warranty. So yes I did pay but didn’t over pay 😌😌😌😌
@@gwotcame from factory bud
@@Tundra24 really? cuz all Canadian models are dealer install, non of them are factory installs.
Will this lift eliminate the Air Dam and cannot install a TRD skid plate?
Ya you can’t get the skid plate with the lift
Love that American thinking.. get the lift and add the cost to the truck payment......
Anyone have any real world experience with this lift? What are the biggest tires you can run without any rubbing?
FYI the 3” lift is made by Roush.
isn't only the upper arm by Roush? every other component is by other companies
I have this lift but I was wondering if anyone can answer my question here, would I be able to just switch out my shocks to fox shocks?
yes, if you ever want to upgrade your bilstein shocks down the line, you can easily just do a swap to fox, kings, or any other brand you want.
Yea you can upgrade shocks. You have to use aftermarket fox shocks as the Trd pro shocks are shorter.
Where did that camo insert come from?
We sell them! yotaxpedition.com/collections/2g-toyota-tundra-blackout-kits
All I see is 2014-2021.
@@RSHart-d5k sorry, here is the 3rd gen link! yotaxpedition.com/collections/3g-toyota-tundra-blackout-kits
Can this kits fit 2wd tundra?
Unfortunately this is not compatible with the 2wd models.
Completely different then the gen 3 Tacoma kit offered by Toyota. Even the trd pro has billet UCA, not offered anywhere else.
Good on Toyota offering the geometry correcting and steering strengthening parts.
Definitely more thought went into this kit.
Link to Tinkerers Adventure is broken. FYI
I see that, I tried fixing it multiple times with the same result.
All Good! I googled it and he came right up. Oh well.@@yotaxpedition
Are you local ( Orange county CA) let me know
No, were on the other side of the country lol. Pennsylvania
20 hours ?!?!?!?!? i installed my 3.5 inch rough country M1 kit by myself in 10 hours
20 hours is a measurement of labour cost, as in you'll be paying 20 hours of your Toyota dealer's hourly shop rate because they're not all the same rate, does not reflect the actual time required to do this job.
Yes I know how flat rate works. Thank you
@@brandonaford1 Again... this isn't solely for flat rate, this is how much you gotta pay. Even if the dealer isn't on a flat rate system, for example overseas, they can still talk in hours
How does the RC 3.5 lift with the M1 ride? I am looking to do the rc 3.5 with the m1
I love it. Absolutely zero complaints
Dobisons 2-3” IMS kit is affordable and better
20 hours of labor. So this kit really cost closer to 5 k
If you have someone install it for you, yes.
so does every single aftermarket suspension, so moot point.
Yeah.... asking damn near $10,000 CAD here. Little ridiculous
RIGHT?! a damn 68% more expensive than the US
This lift kit is $9,239.32 CAD in Canada, that's $6707.07 USD, Canada has to pay 124% MORE for this kit... that's some bull
I think you failed the math. Currency conversion is 1.39 right now, so 39%.
@@B-kl8vj you didn't understand what I was saying, I'm not saying the conversion %. I'm stating it costs $6707.07 USD to buy this kit in Canada, vs $2995 USD in US.
They should have this option for TRD off road from factory. Makes no sense to take off good equipment and exchange when it can be done by factory and save money and parts
Something like Sasquatch from factory. 3inch lift. Lower gear ratio and 35s
I think you will lose your factory Warranty but the dealer will warrent the vehicle.
if Toyota installs it, absolutely no warranty will be lost.
20 hours, that is way to much time.
I just had mine installed at my Toyota dealership and both of the upper control arms dont have TRD stamped on them. any reasons why that would be? @yotaxpedition
What size tires are you running on stock rims?
Same here
I know this thread is a few months, old, but mind me asking how much the dealer charged you for labor on this?? Any help would be appreciated, trying to negotiate this lift into my financing on a new Tundra. Thanks!
@@jdjames997 I paid right at 5 thousand for lift and install
