A very detailed explanation of this collaboration option. Lots of extra important info that others fail to mention giving the full picture. Great demo.

Thank you very much for this deep dive into the shared channel. How does the SharePoint list behave in this shared channel?

Hey Daniel, thanks for the great explanation. Does this work for individuals who aren't currently part of another tenant?

Is there something that happens in practice when you turn off private and shared channels for an org? As a data governance professional, I struggled to manage data in private channels in their secret site (subsite). When things went bad (owners left org and site not renewed), I would restore and then those private channels would be trouble, often containing restricted chats that the remaining group should not see. Could talk about data lifecycle management with these types of channels/sites?

I have a channel and I want to add an external user to the channel using Teams admin center.
I already have added 4 other users with the same domain/organization.
But now, when I am adding an external user, the error message says, "This member can't be added".
Checked Teams Global policy and it is toggled on for adding the external user to the shared Teams channel.
Already added in Azure AD as well.
If you have any alternate option, please let me know.

Really great video, thanks for sharing.
I noticed when testing with a customer that the initial attempt of collaborating on Files in the Shared Channel prompted me for permissions for FileBrowser - which requires authentication. This failed (because my account isnt a member of the tenant hosting the shared channel) but still allowed me access to the Shared channel as expected. Have you ever come across this behaviour?
