I really like the tools you review Jeff and you leave out the tool truck brands, let's face it, most of us are regular folks out here, just can't scratch up enough scratch to buy those, we would all love to have them, but we can't. Keep up the good reviews.
Thank you for that valuable feedback!!! i do have some snap on but very little!! i always try to show lesser known brands, and lots of mid grade tools, which most people like!!
I have a set of the Icon reversible ratcheting wrenches and I use them on a daily basis working on small engines.I have had no issues with them and they have worked great since I bought them over a year ago.Nice job on this video Jeff!
Thanks for the review. It looks to be very well made. The easy returns at HF remind me of what Sears used to be like back in the day with their Craftsman tools.
I’ve using my set recently and really liking them. Been wrenching for 20 plus years so I’m not new to this and I’m really impressed. 99.99 for the set with coupon so great pricing.
Thank you for the video and input. Just now starting to get into icon as well. Nice clean looking tools in my opinion. Little pricey but in my opinion they seam worth it. I’m a diesel mechanic and for what I use them for they hold up very well.
I don't have any of the Icon stuff but from reviews like yours and others I've seen they seem to be made pretty well. I definitely think they are probably one of the best non tool truck brands that you can walk in a store and buy (at least around here). Obliviously the easy replacement if you have to warranty a tool is a big plus. As much as I love Harbor freight, I've never understood why they don't sell individual wrenches. Hopefully you can get a replacement 10. Thanks for sharing Jeff.
Hi shep thier good tools,i i waited for along time before i jumped in, but i have no regrets, thier quality tools!!! i do hope they start selling single wrenches in the store soon!! thank you ,stay tuned!!
Great looking set bummer about the 10mm I hope they will replace it. I got my wrench set yesterday but I was out of town and I'm back now they look great thank you so much I do appreciate it and looking forward to using them.
I bought a set and returned them. I didn’t care for the lack of a bevel on both sides of the box end. I like a little chamfer to help guide it on the bolt. Otherwise they seemed decent enough. Thanks for sharing!
Jeff, I’ve been using the Icons for a long time now, over 2 years. I’ve gotten to where I trust them as well as anything else I have. The new job is a mix of SAE and Metric so looks like I’ll be adding some more Flank Drive Plus, Wrightgrip 2.0 and Proto ASD to the mix but until I do, I know I’ll be fine with the Icons.
I have the long set that's 10 through 19 and they're nice there as long as the snap-on ones. But like you said I think the icons a little pricey for Harbor Freight so I only buy it when it's a 25% off coupon
@@jefftovani5535 I have the ratcheting ones you did in another video those i really like cuz they're also extra long. usually it's harder to find ratcheting wrenches in an extra long pattern like they are.
I’m so happy I bought this set!!! I did have to drive two hours and meet a serial killer or at least he seem like a serial killer because he pulled out the wrenches from a Ziploc bag that he held with the two tips of his finger out of a random car on the street but I only paid $50 💯
Yes they are aggresive design!! they work good but do damage fastener a bit!!! which could be a problem on a chrome fastner!! on show car or something of that sort!!
@@jefftovani5535Jeff, I am desperate to see a review of the craftsman v series extra long ratcheting wrenches with six point fixed box end. And 12 point ratcheting wrench. If you are looking for a fun wrench to test, it's totally different. Thanks in advance. And please turn some fasteners with tension and compare the six point to the 12 point and a six point socket, and see which one mars or deforms the nut or bolt the most. Thanks. The fixed box end 6 point is zero degree..... Just like the long pattern wrenches you have been testing.
Ha ha!! good luck with that, when my wife sees ups,or fedex truck pull up to my garage, im caught everytime, lol!! i just dont tell her how much, lol!! thanks my friend!!
The Icon line of tools looks to be decent stuff. I too prefer long pattern wrenches now that I'm older and need the extra leverage. Harbor Freight has sort of become the replacement for the old Sears stores. They have a similar warranty for hand tools. The downfall of Harbor Freight is not selling individual tools in the event you lose one or just want to purchase a single wrench.
Hi my friend yes the long pattern wrenches sure make the job easier no doubt!! i to wish harbour freight would sell singles in icon line of wrenches!! lets hope they rethink this in the near future!! stay tuned!!
Yeah, it’s like the opposite of the old craftsman wrenches which we’re a couple inches short. The new trend is definitely longer pattern and it makes a difference with fatigue.

Icon line is good quality, mid level tools!! i own alot and have been happy with there stuff!!thanks for joining in my friend!!!
I’ve always preferred long pattern though I wish they had a lighter anti slip option on those open ends.
Yea the anti slip is agressive on these!! thanks for taking a gander my friend!!

Oorah!! Nice set!
Not bad my friend i have been putting them through hard use and thier doing fine!!

They were barely used and it was the full set. I’m so happy.
You got a hell of a deal, and you escaped with your life, lol!! thanks my friend for joining in!l
Wow, I did not realize that the teeth on these were as aggressive as they appear to be
Yes they are aggresive design!! they work good but do damage fastener a bit!!! which could be a problem on a chrome fastner!! on show car or something of that sort!!
I have steered clear of Harbor Freight sets so far. I hate not being able to purchase singles when I want/need one.
Yea cant say i blame you, hopfully in the near future you can by singles in store!! but they are decent wrenches!! stay tuned my friend!!

I often have to make a tool from parts on hand and need to purchase replacements when I am done with the job at hand.@@jefftovani5535
Jeff... maybe do a series on inexpensive, but still quality pry bars. The $22 Olsa Tools Striking Pry bar set is impressive.
Thats another great idea!! keep the ideas coming,it helps me know what you guys want to see!!
Those Olsa pry bars are already gone from Amazon as of this morning…
Get some more asahi and some top tool wrenches from Japan please.
When i can, i sure will my friend!! stay tuned!!
I was thinking about picking up a set of metric and SAE. I think I will but don't tell the wife 😅
Ha ha!! good luck with that, when my wife sees ups,or fedex truck pull up to my garage, im caught everytime, lol!! i just dont tell her how much, lol!! thanks my friend!!
I miss the “take a gander”!
Yes, sometimes i do forget to shout it out,but you guys seem to like it, so i will still say it,take a ganderrrr!! thank you for your support!!
I love hearing it too!!! You keep on saying it my awesome friend Jeff. 🇺🇸
Did you know these are made by the same folks that make the Milwaukee MaxBite and Carlyle Anti Slip wrenches?
Hi frosty i did not, thanks as always for sharing your knowledge on tools!!! i learn something new all the time!! the tool world is always changing!!
