    Thank you my friend for that shout out. I appreciate it. The only wrenches I've really used would be my over 20 year old craftsmans(by the way, theyre "v v" and inverted "v") , a few snap on, and my gearwrenches. I definitely invested into gearwrenches, I have solid long combos, standard length combo ratchet, stubby length combo ratchet wrenches , XL Gearbox double box , and the 120xp flex head gearbox double box. Great video tho, very detailed as always!

    If someone wants some longer affordable wrenches the dewalt wrenches are nice I have a set in sae. It’s good to have one like the icon with the teeth and a smooth one. Just different tools for different applications. Don’t wanna mark up your fancy fasteners😁

    I have both Icon and Capri wrenches. The icon seem to be better quality (not by much) over capri. Icon wrenches are made on the same line as Carlile from Napa. The open end on the Icon grips better than the Capri as well with them being non-slip (actually works). Icons only drawback is that you can't replace single sizes or just warranty a single wrench. Capri sells all their sizes separately, which is very helpful, but I haven't had a chance to test the warranty yet. But you really can't go wrong with either brand.

      You can warranty individual Icon wrenches.

    • @ihavethedocuments2580

      I would imagine Harbor Freight does not sell individuals at their stores because of theft prevention, I'm sure they would have a lot of people running out the door with single wrenches: lots of tweakers out there.
      We all know it's true.
      They have a number you can call to order individuals, and I have heard they are very fair on the price of the singles as they are with the price of their sets.

      @gtcam723 6 дней назад

      You can go to their website and find the part number and order a replacement and they can warranty an individual wrench, though that’s varied a little by individual location

  • @nathancook6971

    The Capri's are great wrenches. I know these were just the standard combo wrenches, but they also make some with wave drive pro that will take off rounded bolts but not round off good bolts any further. Obviously a bit pricier

    I say the icons are only worth 2nd hand, you can find people selling then for 30-50% off. If you can pick an choose u can a really good bang for the buck.
    Alas I've had all three brands, and now have mac, the tektons are the best imo only bc warranty. Capri and icon are only original purchase l, tekton follows the tool. You can find a broken tekton on the ground and get it replaced for free!

  • @mlieser1230
    @mlieser1230 Год назад +2

    All three sets look like nice wrenches. For me it would be a tossup between the Icon and Capri. The size stamping on the Icon is large. As I've gotten older my eyes have become weaker. When it comes to combination wrenches I prefer the long pattern. The box end on the Capris is nice with the Wave Drive. Since the patent on Snap on's Flank Drive ran out almost all wrench manufacturers have some sort of copy. If an Icon tool breaks Harbor Freight is a short drive from home to replace it. You have to wait for Tekton and Capris to send a tool via the mail. The only disadvantage of the Icon is if you lose a wrench. Icon doesn't sell individual wrenches. Hopefully Harbor Freight will address this situation.

      Hi lieser, yea the id marks are big on icon, great point, i missed saying that!! capri are really tight. on fastener compared to tekton!! icon are longer than tekton or capri, love the chrome on the capri!! all three sets have thier strenghts and weak points, warranty that you brought up, is another difference as well, my pick is capri,but i do wish they were longer like icon!! thanks my friend as always!!

      I have kept my Craftsman wrenches. Customer service is fantastic. I have Tekton tools as well, but Craftsman right now makes an excellent product for the price and I can (and have) shot over to Lowe's and Ace Hardware to replace broken sockets and ratchets, just like the old days with Sears.
      Honestly if Tekton wasn't based in Michigan I'd probably still buy Craftsman exclusively.

I really only buy long or extra long pattern ones and with the 25% off coupon can't beat the deal for $60. Icon really copied Snap-on with the wrenches the font looks exactly the same and the lengths of the same and snap-on makes the longest wrenches
