- The Hunt 1000 | Episode 5: Crossing Borders and Taking a Breather
In this episode, I pass the halfway mark of my epic Hunt 1000 adventure! After summiting Mount Hotham, the highest point on the route, I descend into the historic town of Omeo. Here, I take my first official rest day to recharge and explore before setting off for Day 9. The ride takes me along fast, flat farm roads with a slight detour to avoid some restless bulls. Finally, I cross the iconic Murray River, leaving Victoria behind as I enter New South Wales, and set up camp at the stunning Tom Groggins Campground for a well-deserved night under the stars.

Haha, I had a lot of fun taking those photos. I was just lucky to find it in the river a little downstream and save the SD card or I don't think I would have put together this series. It just wouldn't have been the same without those amazing views.

Fantastic series of videos. Can’t wait for the rest of the series. I have been considering doing the hunt for a while now and realising that you don’t need to break yourself and can really pace yourself makes me more motivated to do it. Thanks

I got so much more out of this event by slowing things down and enjoying it rather than racing it. There seems to be a lot of like minded people out there too. Hi, what happened with the drone , did you hit a tree? , or did it lose power and drop in the river?
Sadly it was user error. I moved it sideways and my model doesn’t have the obstacle sensors on the sides. Flew straight in a tree and down she went into the river :( I was lucky enough to find it though and save the SD card :)
