In Pakistan we call it pakora. You can add potatoes, cumin seeds, bell pepper, hot pepper many options and can also air fry or deep fry
Now that sounds better, way more flavour.
“Once you make the fritters in this way, you’ll never go back to any other recipe” is exactly right! I’ve tried a bunch of zucchini fritter recipe and this is the best by far.
Great recipe - gluten free, dairy free, and egg free - just what I need. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you . Only other thing i might add is lemon zest and fresh herbs from the garden. 😁
I made these but I steamed them first and then put them in the air fryer. Less oil .A much healthier option and they still taste just as good.
Great tip!💛
But the air fryers are high in EMFs and as long as your oil is healthy, it's actually good for you. Our brain needs the oils.
This is the staple food for every indian during rainy seasons. 🙂
Just search for pakora, pakoda or bhajiya you will get many options.
That recipe has two of my favorite ingredients, zucchini and chickpea flour. I will definitely be adding this to my recipe list. Thanks😊
So simple recipe. Can't wait to try it. Thank you for sharing : )
Such a great recipe! I can't wait to try it!
Brilliant, first batch as described, so tasty.
Great recipe, I am making them now, thank you
Fabulous. Thank you so much, Alice. I always enjoy your segment on the Breakfast Show.
Excellent recipe
I'll be making this without the onion as I'm allergic to the allium family also. Thanks for the info on the chickpea flour.
That’s awesome.. esp using the chickpea meal 👍
excellent,excellent and fantastic.
Looks YUM
look great thanks :)
Love this recipe Alice. I have made it once so far but I think my zucchinis were on the big side resulting in the fritters being too moist. Can you tell me the best weight of shredded zucchinis I should have for this recipe? Thanks.
"You’re right, older zucchini will mean a wetter batter. Rather than aiming for a specific weight, keep adding enough chickpea flour to make the batter feel gluey rather than runny. Hope that helps! AZ"
That looks delicious and I am gonna make it. Learning about chickpeas was interesting. How come you have to add baking soda?
I read somewhere that adding baking soda makes the fritters crispier.
do you think I can use eggplant, if I salt it, wait for the bitter juices to come out then chop it up ?
Wow! Its even gluten free! Amazing idea! Hope you will enjoy our videos as well!
Iate too much bi carb soda before and now I'm blasting the toilet bowl and watching this video
Can you cook it in the oven instead to make it healthier?
I did and they came out great lookin like they fried
