    Love your quick and easy meal idea!! I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I do love to eat all varieties of foods. Sometimes you just want something light! I also try your more complex things like the dumpling recipe. Please don’t stop. You’re a breath of fresh air.

      You can find it in places like Whole Foods and health food stores in general. This is my favourite brand.

    Thanks for this recipe. I appreciate that you share these great ideas for keto recipes. I had forgotten about tempeh and how much I enjoyed it in the past. Now I’m inspired to buy some and try this recipe.

    Fan…I do this too!!!! 😃 with tempeh as well as with tofu mashed with herbs, spices, nutritional yeast , toasted sesame oil…..(the flavor options are endless). So easy, so quick, so nutritious & sooooo good!!!

      I do the mashed tofu as well!! I use silken tofu and I throw in avocado, tomatoes, spring onions, sesames oil etc. I call it "Heavenly Mess" (as in the famous Eton mess) 😂

    Happy Holidays if you are celebrating Fan. I wish I could eat tempeh because it is fermented but the last time I did it didn’t digest well. I may try again with this recipe.

      Give it another try Deanna. Pick ones that have no added ingredients other than tempeh itself. I find it very gentle to the body and it does wonders for your gut biome x

      @@katm5015 - 😊- yes, yes! Experimenting with ingredients you enjoy is the best. I even mix in sautéed riced cauliflower with tofu and add all the yummy flavors & ingredients I happen to have on hand. I get inspired by Fan’s recipes and then work with what I have & then recreate them to what’s available or desired to fit my needs. Enjoy! 😊

    Tempeh comes indeed from Indonesia. Indonesian food are widely eaten in the Netherlands. A bit similar to curry in the UK. Ofcourse because of the colonial relationship from the past. Indonasian nasi (including tempeh) is serverd as national meal on Dutch navy ships. Greeting out of EU

      I’ve only discovered tempeh a few years ago and certainly had no idea it was popular in the Netherlands as it’s still considered somewhat exotic in the UK. Thanks so much for sharing that!

    Only recently found your channel but I’m loving all the recipes. Already gathering ingredients to get started! I’m going to make your chili paste tomorrow! I’ve always loved tempeh- it’s very available here in Portland, OR USA and you can get tempeh and miso made out of all kinds of beans… not just soy. This looks fantastic and one of the infinite items to put your chili paste on! Thank you!!!

    This sounds so good but I have to travel almost 3 hrs to get good tempeh. 🙄 The closet thing I can find here in my little country Texas town is organic sprouted firm tofu (I season it well & air fry it) to put in wraps. Love them with thin english cucumber slices, baby spinach & mayo. I use the lavash wraps mostly tho. I’ve seen the romaine gems before. I’ll have to buy them next time I see them now. 💕

    I have a question about other vegan non soy vegan protein that can used? I cannot have any gluten, dairy or soy as they cause inflammation and relapses. What would you suggest to substitute soy products?

      Try sauté whole mushrooms till they're firm, they make great fillings for the wraps as well.

    watching on Boxing Day! Looks so great, and so quick to make--definitely going to try it as soon as I can get to town to find some tempeh... we are snowed in with about18 inches that fell on the 24th and 25th! on Vancouver Island, BC

      I have been vegetarian for many years (off and on, before the last 15 years or so... since the early 1970's, when my great sourcebook of recipes was "Recipes for a Small Planet") but am transitioning to vegan, and your recipes are such a great help and inspiration. I don't like to cook much, anymore, so these simple and quick recipes are simply awesome.

    Great to see you back, I’m new to Tempeh, does frying reduce its fermented benefits?…really like the recipe.

      Yes there may be some degradation if you cook in high heat. I tend to cook in medium heat till it's lightly brown. Hopefully the impact is small.

    I enjoy your recipes and videos. Recently found out that any soy product regardless if organic and non-GMO, I am unable to have because of the flammatory response it causes me. What would you suggest to use that is not soy based. I appreciate your input. Thank you for some delicious recipes.

      You can sauté some chunky mushrooms till they're nice and firm (portobello would be lovely) and they make great wrap fillings.
