A quick update on the KFC situation in Israel: KFC recently (Feb 10) opened a new branch in Nazareth and it is a MASSIVE success. People from across the country flocked to the opening, and there were hours of wait time, the place literally couldn't handle the load. Even today, over a month after launch people don't want to go because they know they'll have to wait in line for hours (: The secret to their success this time is simple. They're simply serving the original, beloved, American recipe. No more attempts at making it Kosher. Also, Nazareth is a city with a large arab population which don't keep Kashrut, but many secular jews are flocking to the restaurant as well. KFC have claimed they're planning on launching "dozens of branches" in the next three years. Fourth time's a charm?
5:50 Actually, although it's true that many foreign restaurants in Iran have shut down since the Islamic revolution, some slightly more secular cities in Iran such as Shiraz have opened KFC's with pretty much the same standard quality as KFC franchises around Europe and North America. Source: Am Iranian.
KFC:”hey I want you to allow us to open our outlets in your country” Israel:”no” KFC:”please” Israel:”no” KFC:”please” Israel:”no” KFC:”please” Israel:”ok”
@lore00star While I can’t speak for the rest of Asia, I can give you one insight as to why though. For us here, it is way cheaper to order something that came from a local fast food chain and from McDonalds so usually KFC is treated more as a luxury goods because of its unique taste that aren’t found anywhere from those said fast food chain Yes, the menu from KFC taste good to us who don’t usually ate there but the price there isn’t reasonable and usually, you can get two meals from a different fast food restaurant for the price of one meal you get from KFC and that’s why we always go to McDonalds or to a local fast food chain. Occasionally, we order something from KFC for special occasions, like a party or special event or something like that. Now, pair that with Asians who gets better pay from working abroad rather than working at home country and you should see as to why they would go there though that isn’t usually the case like those Filipinos who craves for Jollibee for instance, which from what I’ve heard had opened several branches internationally to the US, Saudi Arabia, UK and other places that had a strong Filipino community to cater to these people who wanted to taste “home” from faraway and to those others who are interested, but if you didn’t have an option like that then if I were one of them, I could see no reason as to why I wouldn’t want to go KFC unless you want to go on McDonalds. Besides, we aren’t familiar with the local delicacies of other countries unless you ask a local who you’ve befriended or a guide of some sorts to inform you about it so we usually stick to something we’re familiar and guess what that is? Fast food restaurant. Since those places had a set of menus that are similar to what you order back from your home country, why risk the trouble of finding one place to dine in when you have no idea what they serve while you can just find some fine food from a fast food restaurant as easily as possible? I mean, it’s fun discovering and experiencing new foods and dishes that are special to the specific country you’re working on but if you’re one of those guys who just works there to support your family back home by sending food, money, or anything else of value just so they can sustain themselves while you’re away, you definitely don’t want to be spending too much for some meals you can afford for a few days while you can send that amount of money back home, to which they can use that to sustain themselves for months, even a year tops though that’s when food is the only thing you worry about. We haven’t even begun to talk about the other expenses that you need to pay and it’s a f**king nightmare to explain them so I’ll stop from here and leave it at that. (Sorry if my English is bad and for the long comment)
It has not conquered Indonesia yet, the largest chain-food restaurant in Indonesia is Restaurant Padang which offers a variety of buffets at affordable prices. The following is KFC :D

A quick update on the KFC situation in Israel:
KFC recently (Feb 10) opened a new branch in Nazareth and it is a MASSIVE success. People from across the country flocked to the opening, and there were hours of wait time, the place literally couldn't handle the load. Even today, over a month after launch people don't want to go because they know they'll have to wait in line for hours (:
The secret to their success this time is simple.
Wait, Israelis don't follow kosher anymore?
Wow, i guess they gave up trying to make a kosher recipe and decided to go to Arab-majority place
@@Rayuzan_M Israelis as a nationality never did, kosher law is from Judaism which is a religion.

Even here in Italy if you go to KFC you'll see 80% asian people... idk why ahaha
lore00star Guess the stereotype that black people like fried chicken was very wrong.
@lore00star While I can’t speak for the rest of Asia, I can give you one insight as to why though. For us here, it is way cheaper to order something that came from a local fast food chain and from McDonalds so usually KFC is treated more as a luxury goods because of its unique taste that aren’t found anywhere from those said fast food chain
Yes, the menu from KFC taste good to us who don’t usually ate there but the price there isn’t reasonable and usually, you can get two meals from a different fast food restaurant for the price of one meal you get from KFC and that’s why we always go to McDonalds or to a local fast food chain.
@@averageenjoyer1690 everyone likes fried chicken
