The "Money bomb" would not work at all in North Korea for a few reasons.
1. No other countries accept the currency, so when NK trade with other countries they use other currencies. Therefor it will not affect NK's trade with other countries.
2. The people of NK would probably be to scared to pick up money coming from the sky, because they will be afraid of the reprimands from gouverment.
3. If it somehow would get into circulation, you need to remember that the gouverment would easily be able to "steal" it back so the inflation lower itself.
4. It is a crime to not have a work in NK. Therefor it is not only the paycheck that is a motivation for the people to still go to work, but they also want to keep out of jail.
To use a money bomb might have worked in a more open country, but in NK it would only be a little bump in the road that easily can be restore by the gouverment.
Right. That plan sounds very childish. And couldn't even work in places like USA because the modern money bills are almost impossible to be bootlegged.

I personally think that it might work especially since other nations don’t accept nk currency hyperinflation can cause major damage and collapse (it was a reason for hitlers rise to power) but good analysis anyway
How about instead of the money bomb, we have a “consumer” bomb?
Instead of cash, just mass bomb or sneak in thousands of foods and “useless” consumer goods like TVs, radios, dvd players, game consoles, music players, porn, even marijuana. Whole point is to socially disrupt North Korea by overwhelming it with the antithesis of “communism” like the Summer of Love.
I say it has a fair chance, you need to remember, the citizens of Korea are on the brink of starvation, it would be unlikely they would pass off the opportunity to have the ability to get basic necessities.
I liked how at the very end he just drops the "And if none of those work, then you can always wait for Kim Jong Un to kill himself by eating too much."

One common thread I notice in all of these options is the need for a replacement regime. No matter which option is chosen (except the first, because at that point everybody's dead), you still need something to fill the vacuum. For a nation like Korea, whose traditional culture is partially built around Confucianism and rigid social/family hierarchy, perhaps a constitutional monarchy with a limited political mandate (just enough veto power to make things interesting, let's say), enforcing a strict national policy of armed neutrality. You would basically be turning Korea into the Switzerland or Monaco of Asia. Everybody and their mom starts opening bank accounts there, you have a hereditary dynasty in place to provide a replacement for the Kim family mythology and devotion, but more importantly than that, you get that much-needed stability you may not get from a completely elected system.

NK can simply discountinue the existing currency bills and introduce new currency bills. Would be temporary inconvenience though and would attract retaliation.
easier said than done. How do you suppose they not only inject trillions of units of currency into the economy, but also take out every existing bill? It's also impossible to set a real value for something like a new currency, it takes decades for it to become stable.

Speaking of the third option of an armed invasion mentioned at 4:56, I would imagine that apart from targeting the right military personnel, it will also definitely involve destroying the giant bronze statues of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il (which, to the people there, is the most heinous crime one can ever commit against North Korea and its regime) in multiple locations. But, there will certainly be limitations. First of, such a mission like this will be incredibly perilous, and second, such destruction to the statues will involve lots of planning with other countries (of course, who are not allies of North Korea and can take months, or more likely, years), and the strikes must be done collectively. The destruction to the statues has to be swift and in one fell swoop. Thirdly, we must also consider how unpredictable North Korea can be in terms of retaliation, and lastly, there are the aftereffects to consider as well.
Their army sucks. Very few are allowed weapons and most are underfed.
