At this point I’ve watched almost a dozen videos on Printify and you have been the ONLY person to mention the seller having to pay first once you make a sell and getting reimbursed. Instant follow from me!!! Can you talk more about this and as a beginner, how to best balance this? I’ve been unemployed for the past several months and know I would not be able to fill a bunch of orders at once.
Exactly !!!
But, I am confused . for that money you as the business is going to pay to printify, that money is already payed by the custmer to us (ths business) so in my head that means we recieve the money from the costumer, and then we can use that money to pay the amount needed for production and hsipping at printify
@@amayaelessarbro don’t worry printful added a direct pop up shop so you can make a pop up shop on their website so the order goes straight to them just like having a website so no money needed go search up pop up shop
@@amayaelessar Yes, great video and the first person in a video to mentioned placing card on Printify for payment. I would love to have an estimated amount, although I know this would depend on sales. Also if you watch enough videos, you would realize that as a new seller on Etsy for sure, they hold some of your funds until the orders are shipped, therefore, I am sure you would have to find the money to cover some orders at least. This is what I gather so far.
The money part was definitely a misconception. I assumed customers paid directly to printify
It’s a lot of people that got trapped in debt and found themselves in a deep hole with nobody mentioning this. Not me doe
ok so now I'm worried if I get 10 sales in one day, cuz it will come out of my pocket first lol man I feel scared thank you for this
Im confused about having funds in the account first. Like if i get sales that equal to $500 i have to have $500 in my account why is that. Can someone please elaborate
@epicjourney3720 Yes, you have to have the money available because Printify is the middle man between you and the customer. You pay Printify to make and ship ( pay them to do the labor and shipping for you to the customer) the customer is charged and when the payment clears, you get your money. Make sure to add the shipping cost to your price for your product.
Great, organized and clarified video. Thank you❤
I’m confused. Why do you need money up front when the customer is paying for the item?
Like you need to buy the product from printify and then to do all the stuff and u mark the price and stuff and u get a profit + money back (not rlly) u get me?
This is great info! I literally assumed when a sale was made, that paid the shipper, and the difference would be put into my balance. Whew. I am SO THANKFUL for your video. I have questions about thing😂
Omg… no one else explained that you need money to start.
Thank you for explaining the end process! A lot videos are good but they are missing this key element….some $$$ is needed to get started!!! Understood now!
If you use their ‘Pop Up’ service, which will have your items on a site produced on their platform, you do not have to pay upfront for production.
How?
thanks for getting to the point and hitting the nail on the head...i didnt even know that we needed to have money
For real. I was thinking about starting a print on demand shop to sell merch but the moment I found this out, I’m like no thanks. Especially when print on demand is marketed as free with the idea that a portion of the money that you received from the customer will go to covering the costs
I just like the honesty about this Printify thing pros and cons. You just earned a subscriber.
Truth in business. Thank you for the best vid I've researched today. Subscribed.
Hi Alex, appreciate the tips! How do you manage customer service for your print on demand business? Do you do it in house? or outsource? Seems like a time consuming aspect I haven't heard anyone really talk about. Thanks!
Hi.I am a Ebay seller from Canada. Why are sellers being charged on Printify shipping?
What if someone orders a lot of shirts and then returns them? Will I be out of the money I had to pay up front out of pocket? How does that work? Thank you
this is still a hard thing to grasp, i live in sweden and about to launch, my producer is based in us, and I want to basically be able to provide world wide. but the prices and how do you add express to them that's willing to ? where do I find the prices for the people that wants to upgrade shipping etc ? damn its confusing
How you gonna know the shipping cost they gonna charge you to get the item to the customer?
i mean yeah you need money to print the product but you are also getting money from the person who ordered it so i dont know why people are so scared???
I thought the whole process dont need money upfront, its prinfty to pay everything then after selling they recoup back all they have spent and the balance are your prifits.
So when customers order won’t they get charged ? We have to pay firstly for Printify and then they gonna start to print
How do you handle the difference in shipping costs when an order is routed to an alternate provider?
Thanks. Great info.
How do I print from Jamaica
I have a question and I hope I get an answer to it. On printify, it says that mugs are for example $20. Does that include the shipping too? Or is it just the mug price?
Jesus Christ, looking for a video to explain this and very video besides this one just go round and round explaining nothing. Thank you for being direct
So you do need money for this business
I was so lost on this I always thought the Print On Demand company takes the money from what customer pays and then ships. I really didnt know and I was about to add shirts to Etsy. I am bummed gotta rethink this Thanks for video
Guys you are paying for the productive cost and shipping
Please make a video of how shipping works for multiples items. Does costumers have to pay for each item in one order or does they pay one shipping for multiples orders?
Thank you! How do I know the cost of priority shipping? Is that a flat rate? I cannot find this anywhere on Printify or Etsy!
Typical priority shipping is around $24, it also depends on the item you’re selling too.
I only know this because when I process my orders this is what I’ve seen. I’m not sure if that fee changes but so far I’ve seen the $24 fee for priority shipping
How did you figure that out? On the USPS site? How do I know what time of package would be used? Ugh!@@DefinedByAlex
If a customer buys a products they are using printify payment system no? Why can’t the money it takes to make and ship the product be deducted from what the customer pays?
Thank you for making this video. A lot of other Etsy RUclipsrs omit the fact that you will need money to start this business. I got one of those cash back cards to start with, although I have not sold any items yet.
Cheers to your success my friend!!
I've received an order and they paid for shipping costs. Now Printify is wanting me to pay for shipping costs as well, is that correct? Am I correct to assume I'll receive that shipping costs from the buyer in my Etsy wallet?
How do you get printify to take the shipping cost from you as the seller, or from overall product price ?
Do you have any advice on how much money you should have to the side when first starting with printify
Hey yes! So I would recommend $200-$500 dollars because I like to think of the different items and how much Printify charges so that would be my personal suggestion.
@@DefinedByAlex thank you
How fast is the shipping, does printing run out of basic product
Thank you for this! I need to find a video on Printify help as a Canadian seller--can anyone lead me to one?
Wait so u receive the product and you ship it or do they get the address from them and ship it to to them 1 or 2 idk
Only the customer gets the product. Printify gets the address from Etsy. I hope this helps
And how does it work when someone wants to return an item? Or is unhappy with the end result
It’s up to you if you want to offer a refund or replace that item at your own expense
@DefinedByAlex thank you so either way I loose money
How do I order samples on printify?
Thanks I didn't know this 💪👍🔥🔥
I just watched your shopify shipping setting video froom 2yrs ago, does it still work like that?
Hi Alex Mam! I am a big fan of your channel.
I am a apparel designer and I am thinking about starting my own t shirt business. But I have no guidelines. Can I work with you as your brands t shirt designer to learn more about the industry?
I really wanna work with you❤
Hello. Is shipping included in the Prettify price?
Can you link your rode mic dupe?
I have a link to my Amazon store front hun, let me know if you still need help finding it
Can I make the shipping free?
Yes! But I would add your shipping price into your retail price to compensate the free shipping
Great tips. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Of course! Thanks for watching
Once they take the shipping money do we get it back ?
Thanks for this I appreciate you🌹 but can you clear my one question it's a humble request please clear it up which is when a customer orders to my Shopify store which is connected with Printify so my customer do his payment before his order is delivered or after his order is delivered because I am thinking like when a customer orders to me he send his payment to me then I give printify his payment into my customer payments can it work like that or not
You can ask Printify Chat Support to clear this up for you in a way that you can better understand it and answer all your questions. On your seller's dashboard, go to Need Help > Help Center and then scroll down until you see the Chat button. They are available 24/7.
Thank you was wondering about the product order🙏
What a great idea on the roll shipping cost into price!! Thanks
Very informative.
Your channel is soooooo helpful ! Thank you ❤
Hi Alex! Thank you so much for sharing. Can you setup the payment method that etsy customera money go to......and pay for printify?
Hey girl...so your payment method is setup on Printify only. You basically will be collecting money from Etsy but paying for the order via Printify...
I hope this helps
Appreciate it ❤
Where can i check the shipping average time? Btw thank you so much for this video
It should say once the order is done
Now you don’t need money because printing added pop up shop so people can directly pay you on their website, customer pay you just like amazon no PayPal or third party sites
Okay good to know. Thanks for the update
I’m confused. Can you rewrite that and explain how to set that up, please? Over here sweating big time. 😂
@@CottonCandyUniverse-bl4wshey did u ever find out how?
This as so helpful!!
Question: do you have to have money for every single order to be completed?
Yes…you have to ask yourself how is printify going to fulfill the order if there’s no money.
@@DefinedByAlexso they don’t take the money from the sale that was made and give u whatever is left from your price?
@@nasb4380 You have to factor in processing times. The money isn't instantly available.
@@nasb4380exactly what I want to know
@nasbb4380 .They're just confusing us they said prinfty dies everything they after selling they recoup back all what they have spent and remaining money are your profits.
Good job❤
Thank you so much 😀
Haha use your chime card. Love your video. Wish I would have watched it the first time around!
If i am using a platform like Shopify to run a. store selling Printify products, does Shopify put the payment from the customer's account into my account right away? Or do they hold the funds until the product is shipped like Etsy does? I know you need to have money upfront when you are selling printify products on Etsy, but is this the case for all platforms?
great video thanks for the information.
Is there an standard cost for shipping that I can charge my clients across the board for shipping a t-shirt? I realize it depends on where it is shipped to but has anyone used a standard 4.99 for example to make things easy? It seems printful has a much easier and standard shipping rate.
