Cons of this tool is that it reinstalls Edge Browser (if u removed it) since it relies in Edge Framework Plus, by itself is a slight memory hog... But UI wise its very convenient
True. The thing is it makes some "maintenance" tasks easier for users who might not be that tech savvy, but you can do everything this app does in Windows already, just have to know how.
@@memstechtips Bing is one of 3 SEs I use, and is my Edge default-so no prompts necessary. I have uBlock Origin installed, that may be keeping it clean. In Settings > Quick Links, I have 'Show sponsored links' set to Off.
Privacy protection its sketchy it is an add-on not baked into the system. This should be a system component if it was in fact doing what they claim. I don't trust Microsoft.
Every time Edge starts somehow, I am temped to drag out an old Android laptop to replace my desktop. I am pretty sure it has hdmi to run my tv from my bed.
Another way for Microsoft to bloat your system, track you and re-install Edge. If I could get away from using Windows all together I would but my work insists on using it (personally I run Linux and run Windows in a VM). I moved away from MS products a few years ago and now use Kubuntu Linux. I have no issues in running Windows in a VM if and when I need to.
If you want to get this via Microsoft Store, just set Windows region to the US and install. You can change your region back later.
Awesome, thanks for the tip!

Why so many dislikes? The review is solid, don't dislike the video if you diskile the app ;)
Thanks man, appreciate your comment. 🤝
Edge is one of my browsers. I don't have any ads on home or new tab pages-but I set my home page to a page of my choosing, so that's probably why.
Interesting... Do you get prompts from time to time to change the homepage or search engine to Bing?

@@memstechtips I use Edge. I don't have ads, but yeah, it nags me to switch to Bing from time to time
This tool is for those who has never heard of windows settings, task manager, disk cleanup tool and the defragment tool
I completely agree, or just people who want all of those functions in one app.
@@memstechtips any alternatives?
@@memstechtips Or people who really want to make sure Bing is their default search in Edge :D
Why didn't they just make Windows settings easier to find in the first place.
True, they could almost just incorporate the functions in this app in the Task Manager itself.
What would be the reason to use this over Revo uninstaller or similar soft that does not require native windows functions?
In my opinion Revo Uninstaller has some different uses compared to this right? It's a force uninstaller, not an optimization utility?
@memstechtips Revo has tools built in like a junk file cleaner, autorun manager etc. It is more than just an uninstaller
My opinion can be summarized with one word: NO.
🤣
Lmao facts
But my edge is flawless is any bad thing about edge?
Do you use Bing as a search engine??
@@memstechtips yep but sometimes google
Great summary that saves me from trying it myself. Not gonna use this software.
Glad you like the video.
Not currently available in the UK for some reason!!

Change your region to the US-per @ThatRandomToast
Check the pinned comment yeah 😁
No telling what this is really doing. Why is it an add on not part of the OS?
You never know, Microsoft might just make it part of Windows soon.

🤭 In my opinion if you're using the PC to watch tv, just use a basic Linux distro.
@@memstechtips Good idea, I am older and lazy, but I cannot think of any reason to continue with Windows. And I need to switch a CPU anyway.
Another way Edge is trying to get back into you system. Big NOPE!
Don't like that either 😏
i was gona try the app just problem is edge
No
😀
The download button doesn't even show up on this garbage microsoft store, I guess I dodged microsoft's own bullet thanks to microsoft.
