- Today I want to chat about Port Royal, an incredible and accessible wargame set in the Golden Age of Piracy! Plunder a destroyed city, survive the other crews doing the same; for King and Country ...or... Gold and Plunder!

Immediately felt it looked like pirate themed Mordheim as well!
I backed the Kickstarter as soon as it went live. This will be a fun game, and look forward to what you share.
The Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago Crewmen seem like they would be good for this, though they don't have guns, which is a disadvantage of course. But yeah, Mordhiem with pirates and such, I'm in! I am not going to do the kickstarter, but once its released, I am going to buy and play it, for sure!
Also at Lowes or Home Depot, the Pink Panther XPS 1" foamboards are 2x2 as well, and you could use a few of those to build an awesome 2x2 game board as well, and its not too much work and does not take up too much room.
Appreciate the breakdown on this. Big fan of what Firelock is doing to make historical games fun and accessible to a wide audience.
Looking forward to this! The reaction/aro mechanic akin to Infinity sounds great, love games that keep both players engaged 😁
I mean, this should get me to build both this and my Ghost archipelago warbands.
Very wary whenever someone says better then mordheim but I will definitely be checking out this Kickstarter! The little shots of it look awesome
Thanks for that. Clear Insta-back of the Kickstarter!!
Ooh looking forward to the battle report for this. Curious to see how it works.
A great video. The game look amazing, both in theme and its rules-light nature.
Thanks for the review! I think I will do the KS!
Really like the sound of this game ..
Splendid piracy figures and superb terrain, very immersive...
Wow!!! I was already cutting boards for Mordheim and now saw this. I think it’s time for a course correction!
it's so fun :)
Very cool 👍🏻
I'm so very, very tempted by this, but my local club have finally gotten into Carnevale, so that's been dominating my time (and purchases). That, and I know I'd want to go all physical for Port Royal which would come with hefty shipping costs. I'll just have to live vicariously through RUclips content for a little while.
So do we use the blood and plunder models as well or is it getting its own minis released?
Have you done any games at 3 player? I'm very interested in Firelock's work but we are mainly a 3 player group
Fit games like this I think the only thing that would work is 2 on 1. Otherwise it just ends up with 2 people ganging up on the other and then fighting it out afterwards.
It’s ok for solo only?
