    You are the first RUclipsr evaluating Tesla FSD to mention that, although the current release is better than average drivers, it is not as good as the best drivers. And that if older people and kids are being transported, the acceptable standard should align with the performance of the best drivers. Excellent presentation. Keep on with this!

      The interesting point to mention here is that most people think that they are better driver than the average.
      Not sure however if this is a positive or a negative argument for FSD !

      FSD should have the driving ability of a Max Verstappen or a Chase Elliott tbh

    • @Astros-dz4bx
      @Astros-dz4bx 2 месяца назад

      Yeah, but the best drivers aren't the ones causing accidents, blocking lanes, etc.,
      It's the average driver. If Tesla can prove that their self-driving system is much better than the average driver, it's already a significant achievement worth looking into - including possibly regulatory approval.

    My Model 3 on FSD changes lanes, speeds up and slows down like a professional chauffeur. I used your videos as if I were sitting in a Tesla simulator. I watched your videos for over 6 months before getting FSD. Your FSD videos have been a BIG learning tool 👍🏾

    My biggest quirk with this version is how slow it can be and how sudden it can still stop in certain scenarios. I was always taught to be a defensive driver so I try to blend in with everyone else on the road. Going exactly the speed limit or just under on some rural roads leads to a lot of tailgaters. And a sudden stop can lead to getting rear ended by said tailgater. Overall 12.3.4 has been incredible. My parents have reverted to saying “Elon” is driving whenever they are in my car.

    Excellent FSD 12.3.4 critique and summary of things that need to be fixed. My wife and I will be heading out from Edmond, WA to Albuquerque, NM next month and expect to drive entirely on 12.3.4 or hopefully updated OTA version. Will be a great test for us. Keep up the outstanding reviews on FSD, which are so helpful to folks like me.

    So excellent video as always, I’m currently driving on V12.3.3 and I definitely say that FSD today drives better than I can, and the reason I say that is because I hate driving, and I liken driving to doing the dishes, laundry, mopping, and vacuuming floors, none of which I ever wanted to do.
    So I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say that I am supremely confident, that FSD, will be the full package, and become the car that Elon Musk promised, 5 or 6 years ago.
    So once again, thanks for the ride along, and I look forward to seeing you next Video. Cheers 🥂

    I've noticed complex behavioral changes w/v12.3.4 in my travels. 1) Aborted move into L lane to pass after sensing fast oncoming (speeding) vehicle in that lane. 2) Moving to side of lane for ALL vehicles and many turns, not just for tractor trailers. 3) Still changing lanes too close behind other vehicles, even at highway speeds. Setting change does not effect this.
    Overall, I am astounded by the improvements over 11.4.9 as well as the continued improvements I've noted just since getting 12.3.4. Seems to be 'learning' rapidly. Thank you again for all your analysis and dedication!!!

    My problem with the Highways in Los Angeles, is if your exit is in 2 miles, you are going 10mph in traffic and the 5th lane to the left is going .02mph faster, it will get over to get into the "faster lane", causing problems getting to the exit if you are in any mode other than chill

    My biggest issue is that it still can't turn away from a dead end, and just stops. Can't have robotaxis getting stuck all over the place, but I feel like that one wouldn't be too hard to address. Overall it's like a driver who's always experiencing things for the first time, and makes rude lane changes with little consideration for the comfort of other drivers.

      @BlackTesla  2 месяца назад +1

      It can handle cul-de-sac dead ends just not dead ends that require a K-turn. Partly because they limit FSD to drive only, not reverse, but it should be something that can be unlocked over time

    As Tesla has all of that driving data, couldn't it identify the "easiest" routes where it hardly ever has any problems? Of course a difficult situation could also happen on those routes, but you could minimize the risk, if you really send the car to pick up your parents. Then it would not matter if the route is much longer than the shortest or fastest route.

    I am under the impression that supervised FSD is safer than normal human driving because you basically have a human watching and monitoring an AI system with eight cameras. Better than just a human with two eyes. I wouldn’t be afraid to have my kids in the car while driving with FSD.

      This is true but it is now finally very close to being featuee complete. Well, my first thought is your driving environment is not very challenging. Too much driving with nothing happening.
    At 81, buying FSD makes no sense but that monthly, at $99, sounds about right. I'll subscribe every few months to see how it's developing but I won't be a regular subscriber until it's finished which I don't think will be that long.
    IMO, maybe a year out but definitely within two years.
    I believe the safety of driving with FSD will be so obvious that government pussyfooting will just get overridden as I can visualize Biden winning again and continuing his anti Tesla behavior.
    The nag used to bother me a lot until I realized toggling the right scroll wheel turns it off. Don't really understand why the onscreen instructions still say to put pressure on the steering wheel.
    3 1/2 years into owning a Tesla!
    I drive the safest and fastest car in class. OH YEAH!!!
