@@DerekDavis213 lol you show you have no concept of how AI driven programming works. This is a totally different approach. In 1 year this completely new system had gotten than the old system ( v11 ) had reached in 10 years . It did this with a training computer that was very limited by size. The training computer is now at full speed. So the training will now get exponentially faster. The car is good in a year it should be perfect , at which point everything should be locked , and that’s how it will drive.
@@paulmeynell8866 And what do you know about AI programming, beyond what the Tesla Marketing Dept has told you? And why was the training computer limited in size? There has been very powerful NVIdia compute cards available for 5 years or more. And ultra-powerful multi-core processors have been too. A data center with 1000s of NVidia cards could have been built 5 years ago. 'The training will get exponentially faster' comes *directly* from the Tesla Marketing guys. You say you're a professional driver and complain that FSD doesn't do 70 in a 50. FSD is programmed to follow the law and not speed. You say that people driving the speed limit in the slow lane causes accidents, No people that recklessly drive way over the speed limit cause accidents. Maybe not you because you're a professional.
I was implying that some people drive faster than speed limit. Usually locals. Others are scared of the road, I don’t blame them. When people going 50mph overtake semis going 45mph around blind turns it can cause accidents when faster traffic in the left lane flies by. Pair that with bad weather or drinking a lot of drivers tend to spin out or hit a divider. Often times a semi overturns as well or loses its brakes. There are many reasons accidents occur here but you can see I safely overtake multiple semis and cars in the video while maintaining 70mph with the accelerator.
Have you ever driven on highway 17 ? Please drive by yourself first and then you will know that due to the nature zig zag road , you will be close to the divider wall. You also needs to tell your audience which mode you are using. I suggest you should actually drive on highway 17 before giving FSD review. The statement you put "Tesla really needs to work that out" , Thats not how AI works.
Hope NHTSA recalls FSD so it can only drive the speedlimit. If you want to drive like a maniac, it shouldn't be on FSD, so you don't screw the statistic.
In my experience with V12, using auto speed max actually made it drive much slower. Sometimes 7mph in a 25mph. Manually setting max speed seems to fix this for the most part right now.
@@AIAddict you can set your speed at 5, 10, or 15 mph over the speed limit. However, for city driving, the software limits your speed to 2 or 3 mph over the speed limit.

This kid is going to kill somebody! I just hope Tesla sees this idiot and takes him off the FSD program. I love it when he says that FSD slows down when there are yellow lights flashing. That area has a road coming on at a 90 degree angle with no on ramp. So if a car was traveling at a high rate of speed on the highway and a car was coming on the highway at that intersection you couldn’t stop in time because the car entering the highway is far below highway speed. The quotes were meant to separate my text from what he was trying to say. I don’t think it’s officially v11. It is single stack, but the lines of explicit C++ code that was replaced were used for city driving, since highway driving wasn’t as much of a problem, and higher speed, therefore higher risk. That last paragraph was just what I think happened. I have no clue what’s actually going on, to be clear. I just know the car feels and behaves very human-like off highway (with auto max speed enabled), but still robotic whenever auto max speed disappears (on whatever it considers a highway it seems) There are even some exits around my area that should be completely fixed with version 12, but still behave wonky and robotic, exactly like they did on version 11

I cannot see how FSD will be able to make a safe right turn into a street without having a camera at each corner of the car.
I see the car coming on the screen?
It looked up me your car was stopping when you slammed the accelerator. I think you thought your nose was out to far because u were looking at the car coming rather than where your car was. There was still creep room
Your nose was in the bike lane but not the car lane. So you caused the issue. Because you you worried with the hesitation from FSD. So that's still a problem regardless if the passaganger is uncomfortable
Have you done any emergency brake testing for version 12 like with objects in the road?
Love that drive on FSD amazing
I drive SR 17 “over the hill” as we call it and I also find that 12.3 comes WAY too close to the median wall. The yellow line Is sometimes painted right up against the wall with the BOTS DOTS within the line itself. I don’t think the car is correctly sensing the wall proximity. It definitely needed intervention.
Another bug I’ve seen more than once is signaling to change lanes, then realizing it’s not safe, pulling back before trying it again.
It seems too cautious sometimes and too aggressive other times.
The people complaining about you wanting the tesla to go faster are definitely the same people camping in the passing lane.
Not really self driving when you keep interfering and driving for the car😡
It’s a level 2 driving assistant. It will never be cable of level 5 driving without a human supervising. Tesla chose a poor namesake to call their software suite unfortunately.
@@AIAddict'never'?
@@AIAddict we can re visit this in a year , I’m sure it will be L5 , this is coming from a person who remembers haven’t 1 tv with only 3 channels no we have an iPhone 15 . I have whitenesses that journey.
@@AIAddict You keep using this word "supervise". Apparently to you it means interfere/intervene/take over. To us & Webster, it means "to oversee (a process, work, workers, etc.) during execution or performance".
What happened to the GoPro camera on the roof?
You mean the external GoPro shot? We still have the equipment and cameras but the outside one likes to Over Heat a lot. Classic GoPro.
Do you think we should bring that angle back into play?
@@AIAddict I really liked it - for me, the two combined perspectives was one of the things that set your videos apart from many other FSD Beta videos.
@@AIAddict maybe use the "cage" mount that is not completely enclosed. also remember to tie a cord to the camera not to lose it accidentally.
Lol another young driver complaining fsd dosent drive fast like them😂 fsd is supposed to make progress with safety.
Eventually it will drive the safest and most efficient way . People will have to except that or drive themselves.
You shouldn’t really be able to change how it drives, or bad drivers will just set it to drive as badly as they do😮😮😮😮
"Eventually it will drive the safest and most efficient way "
Eventually? The fanboys are saying right now: FSD is Solved! Full Autonomy Soon!
The reality is, FSD is currently a simple minded Level 2 driving assistant. Nothing more.
You have no idea how true that is, and to what extent.
Watched enough FSD videos that I won't bother with using it on my '24 Model Y. I am skeptical of the computers' ability to avoid potholes, debris, road kill, deer, etc.
There are many reasons accidents occur here but you can see I safely overtake multiple semis and cars in the video while maintaining 70mph with the accelerator.
following the law in some situation IS LESS safe.
@@Nebbia_affaraccimiei it's not. You just try to justify your actions
Speed limit on 17 is 50mph, ticket for 25 over at 75 is very expensive, and can be charged as reckless driving. I know from experience.
Speed limit is posted at 50mph at timecode 11:14
what year and model tesla are you driving?
Do u mind trying to test autopark into a supercharger next time? I've heard that the new neural net parking is amazing
Great suggestion!
Nice, just saw u upload
Awesome!
Hope NHTSA recalls FSD so it can only drive the speedlimit. If you want to drive like a maniac, it shouldn't be on FSD, so you don't screw the statistic.
I want FSD to disengage if the driver applies the accelerator for more than a few seconds
@@Mark-kt5mh false. FSD won't disengage unless you exceed 85 mph.
7:04 nobody around you is going faster than FSD. Wtf are you even talking about? Going 70 there is just reckless.
What setting is your aggressiveness set to? Would it go even slower if it were in chill mode?
I don’t even want to know how slow chill mode would go 😮💨
How come you don’t let it decide? Use the automatic setting? Or do you have the auto speed setting enabled?
In my experience with V12, using auto speed max actually made it drive much slower. Sometimes 7mph in a 25mph. Manually setting max speed seems to fix this for the most part right now.
Your complaint about the speed is because you don't have the auto offset on
Change your options ...check the distanse option...and also choose auto speed
Distance is set to assertive and auto speed was set to 75mph
@@AIAddict you can set your speed at 5, 10, or 15 mph over the speed limit. However, for city driving, the software limits your speed to 2 or 3 mph over the speed limit.
Doesn’t seem to want to switch back to the slower lane once overtaking.
The point of this video should be:
Does FSD drive safely and within the law?
Not:
Does FSD drive the way I want it to?
It's called Full SAFE Driving. It's trying to pass legal requirements, not get YOUR seal of approval.
You running chill or assertive?
i saw speed limts signs of 35miles/h; 55m/h; 65m/h ... are they for trucks or for all vehicles? To go 20miles over the limit you´ll loose your driving licence over here... in Germany,... local or not.
In my part California, everyone speeds and you hardly ever see a CHP officer. Land is too big and budget is too small.
Yes, those signs you are reading are for semi trucks and vehicles hauling trailers
that really is dangerous road.amount of times car is going way above its visible stopping didtance.
we can see you steering the whole time
No, that's him applying pressure to stop getting nagged - he's not steering. That blue line ahead of the car on the screen means it's driving. Too much pressure on the wheel would turn that off.
Just after minute 15 is a major league boo boo, and seemed like an odd error since it's a relatively simple problem you would think.
Typical young kid that has no sense of other drivers around him. Just wants to get to point B with no regards to speed limits. This is why we have all the accidents on highways. I can’t believe he admits drifting on that highway! That is total disregard for other people that could be on the highway.
Tesla should immediately remove his access to FSD. Please Tesla take this irresponsible drivers FSD away!
Hey everyone. he is a tesla ex employee that got fired!!! Just so you know !
So an ex Tesla employee talking positive about Tesla is bad? I’m confused…
@@AIAddict positive!!! are kidding me !!! Using shadows from trees or light post to abuse system vulnerability in so many videos , not everyone are a sheep!

15:10 i think elon musk is a firm darwin believer. natural selection will solve this.
Why do you have a self driving car if you won’t let it drive , You cannot show how it drives if you keep interfering.
Going under 50mph in itself was both a bit unsafe and annoying. Be less interesting IMO if it stayed behind a semi truck the whole drive.
Reportedly v12 only runs off highway otherwise it's the old v11.
Getting too close to the side of the road is a fail.
When speed is set to auto max, then it’s v12
Where do you people come up with this stuff?
Link supporting evidence / proof otherwise what’s the point of spreading nonsense?
@@AIAddict tbh, I got this stuff from Dirty Tesla’s videos.
Plus anecdotal evidence myself. On my first drive with v12, it was really good and human like… until it went onto a highway / parkway. Then the auto max speed disappeared, and it started behaving like v11. I could tell cuz it was going so well before, and it felt a lot more robotic and screwed up.
But if I’m wrong, I’m open to changing, and never meant to spread any misinformation. Just thought I had evidence if not proof.
Btw, love what you guys do. And thanks for doing it. We need this software to be tested to bring about the advent of full autonomy, which will eventually save many, many lives. 🫡
@@homosapien6031 interesting, if dirtytesla made a comment about this then I’d have to lean towards believing him. I’ve yet to see him spread any false information.
I do know 100% that when speed is set to AutoMax it’s guaranteed to be v12.
However, I cannot confirm or believe that it suddenly drops to v11 when navigating on highway. All version have been single stack since V11 not multiple stacks.
I will go on highway here in a few and test to see if auto speed max disappears when I enter the highway.
@@AIAddict Yeah he’s awesome. I’m grateful that he does this too. From what I remember, he gave it as a reason he couldn’t get a 0-disengagement drive to work the day before. This was one of his early v12 videos. He said that was because it’s “basically on version 11”.
I’m not 100% sure he said what I just put in quotes, but that was the point at least.
I just know the car feels and behaves very human-like off highway (with auto max speed enabled), but still robotic whenever auto max speed disappears (on whatever it considers a highway it seems)
There are even some exits around my area that should be completely fixed with version 12, but still behave wonky and robotic, exactly like they did on version 11
Your hand is driving the wheel it looks like the whole time. You're maybe doing little hand regroups to drive it. Please post one where the autopilot is driving without you obviously sort of controlling it. Yes or no? Are you driving it looks like it.
The Tesla Driver Monitoring system requires the driver to rest their hand on the wheel when the self driving mode is turned on. Roughly every 30-90 seconds it will also ask you to slightly tug or nudge on the wheel to verify you are awake and paying attention. I believe this is what you are seeing.
It only tried to cause one major wreck. It's about at the level of a first year driver.
It has its moments of brilliance and moments of stupidity. It's not perfect but its decent.
Lived here all my LIFE but 17 sucks lol so a good test
I hate that ROAD !
It doesn't drive like a hopped up 20 year old.
Fair enough
Going 75 on highway 17 is reckless ,
That is why so Many accident there
This is why FSD is probably already better driver than you for safety.
look in the mirror . No offense
This is the worst video I have seen on FSD. The idea of FSD is to make the roads safer not drive like a human would. Traffic deaths last year totaled over 41,000 deaths. Aggressive driving couples with excessive speed are the result of many of those deaths.
