love that ghost on the track clips. Great video!!
It's my favorite bit to film and edit. 👍🏽 Thanks
It would be nice to have a shopping list, maybe with afliate links to help you in the description. So the dummy and batteries and so on, like a list for each car.
Maybe after some time it is less work and more c&p.
I'm setting up a website to do just that.... Great minds 😊it's jist taking longer than planned!
Come guy's let get Garage RC sub up! There's great content loads of helpful information. Good work once again 👍
Cheers. It's great fun doing these vids. My sub count is going up, I'm back to work next week and I'm trying to keep momentum going with the chanel. Thanks for the support 👍🏽
Great content :D
Front one way and limited slip rear actually works pretty well on RCP with grip tires too.
Great tip. OK will test it. I tried messing settings with ics and top speed. I think it depends on what pinion as to how much effect it has. Will try that next. 👍🏽
what part/s mods needsd for limited slip. i see kyosho has a rigid rear axle for the awd-mdw024. would this and the one way be good for drift racing?
@@ChipPuccio The ball differentials are the limited slip diffs of the Mini Z world :P
I must have watched this at least 5 times. Great video. Did you have a gyro on the drift modded EVO? Which drift tires did you use? Stock drift tires that came with the autoscale body set?
yes gyro at 40 percent tyres were mini z wide rear narrow front . The tyres were not standard on this model .
Great video! Can’t wait to get an RCP track. Do you find that most drift tires work well on the RCP or do you have specific tires you prefer?
Most drift tyres work . Preferably slippier ones .lf5 ds racing are good .
Great! I have a question, maybe you can help. I have hard, polished tile floors in my house. I use this as a track. I have the AWD MA020. I drift a little, but I really love using the high grip radials for fast racing with my son. The cars fly. If I wanted to replace the stock diffs, what would be best for this setup? Ball diff in the rear, with a one way up front? Or ball diff on both ends?
The standard diffs are very good. Open front and rear. Choice of tyres can have more effect on the handling. Let me find my set ups. I use different treads and hardness front to rear. Ball diffs enable yo u to adjust the slip. So slightly tighter o ntje rear gives more power out of a corner etc....
@@GarageMiniRCUK Yes, I have two cars, both stock (I race with my son). His, seems to handle like its on rails with the race setup (20 shore tires all around, on hard tile). FAST! My car, same everything, even same body, seems to loose the back end on left turns. Spent ALL DAY yesterday tearing it down looking for binding. Nothing.. I swapped over the diffs from his to mine, and seems to fix it. So, decided to just replace stock diffs. So, the goal is to have fast speed, high grip, and not loose the back end on decell / braking. Let me know what you think may accomplish that.
Springs make a difference too. Softer /harder. I'll have a play with my ma020. Use tyre tape too.
Hello, which freewheel reference did you put? A Kyosho MDW017? I wanted to put one on my MA030 EVO and it is too wide: 29mm while the original differential is 27mm, the gimbals do not fit well, do you have a solution please? Léo
You mean the front one way?
Yet another top notch video... 👍🏽
Thanks again.
Z’s are making a comeback!
They never went away 😉more coming soon
what is brand and part number for the one way diff as well as the solid axle rear
Both kyosho. I'll have it have a look for number.
Are those Rubber or Silicone tires that you are using?
Hard plastic ds racing drift tyres. I have the in lf1 through to LF5. Depending on surface
@@GarageMiniRCUK Where do you buy your tires? Everywhere I look, the DS Racing tires are either sold out or they have something I have not heard of or seen anyone else mention.
@Peter Walker I have lots in stock I'm just updating the website.

@@pekwalker sorry, I get mine from the manufacturer.
Awesome comparison man!!!!
Thanks 👍🏽
Where did you purchase the lower rear carbon fibre bracket
I got it from Eagle racing I think a while ago. Or could even have been miracle mart a few years back
Nice video, its funny how everyone prefers different set ups for drifting. What’s your spring settings?
I went pretty soft on the front and medium at the back. Loved the power from locked rear. Great noise from the evo. Thanks budd
BMR 3 I was thinking that. I don’t run any camber on the rear for 50/50 or even cs drift. I want a flat contact patch.
BMR 3 Also ur videos are great ! enjoyed watching both of u guys channels
thanks for watching
this was a new set up for me . I normally go flat . some of my cars like the sz only work well with flat contact at rear .
awesome!👍✨✨
What parts do the front upper arms of MA03AWD evo use? Is it a part of MA02? ?
They look the same I haven't tried them on the Ma020. I will check. 👍🏽
That's Great! Thank you! I became your fan 🤗👍✨
Yes I have used Ma020 arms on ma030 awd evo.
Kinda off topic but do you have any tips on drifting a mini z buggy? I've got them drift tires and glued a broken diff on the rear so it's locked. It's hard to just do circles. Just getting into drifting. Thx
Maybe, I'll have look at the spec, it's awd, does it have good steering angle?
@@GarageMiniRCUK i would say it's not worse than a ma03f. Maybe i lack the skillz.
I'm hoping to get a mini z buggy. So might be able to help with a few videos. I'm away at the moment once I get back ill start a mini project. I know some versions can have a gyro added which does help.
@@GarageMiniRCUK If you do, get the brushless one right off the bat, provided you have the radio for it, which I think you do since you have so many zs :). I did install the gyro but it broke... Be gentle with it. The gyro placement on the buggy is not the best as it sits on top of the motor and the wires are stretched and exposed. After re-soldering the wires twice, the connector tore off the board...
Thanks for that, I have been looking at the brushless one. Yup, I have the controller already 👍
Great video !!
Thanks
Do you know if the mini q one way diff works in the mini z?
Yes it does
Sweet thanks yo
I just turned my ma03f awd, I used the wide set up for the front,so used the long cvds. can the rear be widened or is it just based on the width of the rear tires? Thank you
Yes it can. Wide rear wishbones and cvd come with evo dws.
@@GarageMiniRCUK so they only come with the evo version? Thank you
You can get them as a kit from miracle mart too with their version of dws (double wishbone rear suspension kit) or you can buy a dws kyosho kit but it's like triple the price.
Good vid
Cheers
