Really can't understate how important JJ's is to people living in the US but born elsewhere. JJ's often has foods from their homelands that they can't find anywhere else.
I never thought about that. It has always been stunning to see how many options they offer at JJ's, but you make a great point. It must be a great feeling for non-US born people to find things from home.
Now I really want a Jungle Jim’s to open here in south Texas… We used to have World Market in my city here but it closed and I’ve been so unhappy with the lack of access to world foods here since… :(
Fun fact those bumper cars/ a lot of decorations came from kings island when it was still Hanna barbera owned so the Coney Island on those carts are referring to the restaurant that was once in Kings Island amusement park
You have a new fan. I put this video on last night and my granddaughter was glued to the screen. She's 4 years old, autistic and loves rows of things, especially things with a face! So needless to say she loves Pop Funko figures. I highly recommend you do more shopping videos. I feel like I'm shopping yet I don't have to spend any money. It's great! 😂😂😂
Love visiting Jungle Jim’s- more importantly, love visiting Mark and his studio bc he’s always cooking something up or doing something fun while we’re there!
Funny i just came back from grocery shopping and I'm seeing your video about this really cool supermarket. I wish supermarkets in my town were this cool.
I live about 2 miles from the original Jungle Jim's in Fairfield and go to there each week! Love that place! Welcome to my hometown Jacob! Also, the toy section is about 6 months old!
That explains why I didn't see it. I was there last August and don't remember seeing any toys. I saw a small section where the dog stuff was I think but that was it.
@@nathanwolfe7069 they re-did the front entrance, added the toys section right when you walk in, the podcast room, put a Graeter's in (with a drive-thru) and also a section for nicer cookware. He didn't show that, but the cookware is right behind the 5/3 bank vault door. :)
Shop there every week. They source their vegetables, fish and meats directly from local farms so everything is incredibly fresh and actually less expensive than chain grocery stores. Jungle Jim's has an unbelievable selection of spices from all over the world and fresh asian vegetables to make curries and stir fries as if you were on the street in Bangkok.
Due to thw fact I have gone here so many times when I come to visit my Nana and I loved going there I'd say when I first went there I was shocked by how big it was.
I've been to the one in Fairfield before. They have a huge section of foods from all over the world that the video didn't show. Very cool place to shop, or just walk around.
Coney Island was Cincinnati's premier amusement park prior to King's Island. It's still in operation as a water park. That's where the bumper cars originated. Also see Sign Museum in Cincinnati and Dent Schoolhouse - one of the nation's most prestigious haunted attractions in Green Township.
I grew up in Fairfield Ohio, where the original Jim's is located, watched it go from a fruit/veg stand to what it is today. Still live in the area and go there for shopping, Culinary school, and events. Sad you said nothing about the beer/ wine store. I have watched "new comers" stand in awe at the selection.
12:18 There is actually was a Coney Island amusement park and water park in Cincinnati, off of the Ohio River by I-275 east of downtown. The amusement park closed, but the water park still remains open seasonally and they have a Christmas lights show during the holiday season.
I live 10 minutes from Jungle Jim's in Fairfield. Love it! The original is actually Fairfield, Ohio. About 30 miles north of Cincinnati. Eastgate location is just east of Cincinnati.
At 28:33 the statues that Carpetbagger was pointing at were all the characters from the famous Mexican TV Show "El Chavo 8" and "El Chapulin Colorado" which are very well known cultural icons throughout all of Latin America
I would not mind watching, or listening to WJJI Podcast. Maybe when I have time honestly. It would be a treat to hear them talk about things of all kinds. And the tour, looked pretty cool! A cooking school in a grocery store. Fascinating! And that fish was huge! Wow, what a catch that must have been!
Never heard of it. I’m in Massachusetts But it’s definitely a destination trip! Wow! Caddy shack too!! Toys! Collectible stuff wow! Sqwishables! I’m 62 years old and I love this stuff
The most unique grocery store I have ever heard of and ever saw .... The best of the best when you want variety!!! Overall hands down the very best experience of taste of culture you can ask for. DO INDULGE!!!
Hi I just wanted to say that jackfruit is from Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia. It grows on trees and people have to be careful while walking under them because it will bonk you on the head if you're unlucky. I've never had jackfruit but the taste is supposed to be similar to Juicy Fruit gum, so if you've had that you've had something that's jackfruit flavored.
I had it growing up in the Gurnee area. I lived in Round Lake Beach for 23 years. and all the local Walmarts had it. I now live in Wisconsin Dells and work in Baraboo. and both Walmarts here also sell it but it sells very very quick.
Thanks for covering our beloved Jungle’s! I live about 5 mins from the Eastgate location and its amazing but sometimes too tempting to have it so close. I am gluten intolerant and JJ is amazing for their huge selection. Really enjoy your videos!
29:18 Ale 8 from Winchester, KY is a good soda brand I enjoy. They will even mail you Ale 8 to your address if you are outside of their regional market, but Jungle Jims and Minnesota's Largest Candy Store in Jordan, MN sells them.
My MIL lives near the East Gate Jungle Jim’s. It’s a must to go into every time we visit. Along with LaRosas,Skyline,Wild Milkes wings, getting goetta to bring home,Graeters, and UDF ice cream. We have our own little food tour😆.
I don't know about Big Red Zero, but we have Big Red here in Florida. Also you should try Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer. It's not mug, barks, or A&W, but The taste is indeed one of a kind.
Jacob, 👋 I hope you see this because you may find it entertaining 😄 My two year old grandson apparently thinks that you are the best thing since sliced bread because he calls "Carpetbagger" until your latest video is posted aaaand then we have to binge your videos. Hi Jacob and Jenn! Lovely to see yous having a great time together 🥰 I agree with Jenn that those grapes are delicious and really do taste like cotton candy! 😄 Loved the cereal band animatronics too. Big Red soda made my mouth water when you described it tasting like bubblegum and cream soda 😍 Thanks again Jacob and best wishes and hugs to you and Jenn ☀️
Jungle Jim's is such a specially extraordinary store! I would visit there before I die! Dope displays in every corner! Plus merch from every corner of the world!🐅
The bumper car from Coney Island was from the one in Cincinnati. The owner/founder of Coney Island's son is the one who found Kings Island (opened in 1972) and subsequently places like Kings Dominion.

Jungle Jim’s- the one grocery store you can spend four hours in and still have things to look at.
That “boat tour” was incredible!!!
I'm so glad to see so many people liked that! One of my favorite discoveries in my short time working for the company so far!
Omg! What a super cool grocery store!!!! You should totally hit up more themed and kooky retail places. This is awesome!
I just got through watching it just now it is a cool store!
Oh Jenn, girl if you like the Cotton Candy grapes you need to try them frozen. They makes a great snack when it’s hot or you know just because.

You sound truly happy and Jen seems like a blast to hang out with. 😊
Be prepared to spend a lot they have most everything that is safe to eat.
If I visit USA some day it's on the list
I went today for the first time. Luckily I’m in Columbus, so just under two hours away. But this place was absolutely mind blowing.

Hey Cassie
I have made the drive to Jungle Jim's - 3-4 hours from everywhere I've lived - many times and it has always been worth it.
The candy bumper cars are actually from Coney Island in Cincinnati down on the Ohio River near Riverbend.
Coney Island was located in Cincinnati, some rides from coney island were moved to Kings Island around 1972
Love visiting Jungle Jim’s- more importantly, love visiting Mark and his studio bc he’s always cooking something up or doing something fun while we’re there!
This is so kind of you - thank you Ashley!
Funny i just came back from grocery shopping and I'm seeing your video about this really cool supermarket. I wish supermarkets in my town were this cool.
This store seems quite cozy. Especially those loft areas overlooking the sales floor. Have a nice dinner up top while taking in that ambiance!!
i am so glade you and jan haveing lots fun i have never hear that place's before ty for video
My boyfriend and I are the couple looking at fish at 16:10!!
right..and I'm the fish y'all were looking at 😏🤣
Love how both times you tried to film the bathroom it ended in horrible awkwardness when a dude came out... very wise not to venture inside!! 🤣
First dude seemed pretty displeased. Second dude actually seemed to play along!!
I live about 2 miles from the original Jungle Jim's in Fairfield and go to there each week! Love that place! Welcome to my hometown Jacob! Also, the toy section is about 6 months old!

Hi amy
Never heard of big red soda before but when i was a kid i chewed big red gum quite often, it was my favorite flavor of gum to buy back in the 70's

Jen is a great addition to an already awesome channel! Y'all work well together. 😊
There use to be a entertainment center called Jungle Jim’s here in San Antonio, closed down years ago.
Whenver Jen appears with u i get so happy!!!
What a whimsical grocery store 😂 and very cool of Mark to give a bts tour 🙂👍
What a wonderful fun place , I would love to go though this store 💕
One of the things I miss about living in Batavia Ohio is Jungle Jim's, the other is going to the Dent School House.
Jungle JIm's is very close to where I live and my grandpa use to be good friends with Jim and they use to play poker all the time.
You can look for Jolt soda. It has twice the caffeine than regular soda. I haven't seen it since the 90s when I was going to school.

Those are the best grapes trust me!!!
I love Jungle Jims, we go everytime we are near the area. The bumper cars I believe are from the coney island section of Kings Island amusement park.
