@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 You play 90 percent of the characters you have built all by yourself? That's insane! Would you be able to make a character build of Jirachi the Wishmaker?

I had built a version of Rey where I went straight wizard after 5 levels of battle smith, and it was a great character. So thank you Tulok! I think the only change I would make to Will's build is to give it one of the feats that stacks onto Crits, like Piercer for a Rapier. Lets you reroll damage once per round, add an extra dice of damage when you Crit (which this build is fishing for), and also gives you +1 to Str or Dex. Feels like it would also be in theme, too. Because of Orlando's piercing eyes... or something. Really like Elizabeth's. I don't think it was touched on, but she's sitting on a +8 Initiative modifier because of Jack of all Trades. Will is sitting on a comfortable +10.

This is weird. I've spent my evening looking for a way to play a College of Swords Bard to emulate one of my characters in a novel I'm working on, but the issue is that - excluding a very powerful magical item they have access to - they don't use magic. Now I've realised that I'm building a male Elizabeth Swan, a paragon and military veteran that just wants to make people smile. Oddly, it seems to be working
13 initiative bonus sounds wrong for Will to me, he always struck me as the passive boring protagonist. I'd build him as a scout rather than swashbuckler, still very mobile and even more adept to seafaring. Forge Cleric WAS a great twist :D Mastermind Swords is amazing for Elizabeth tho.

I agree, Heat Metal is always great (and/or terrifying), and very useful for a Swords Bard; Silence also works well, since you'll tend to outclass other casters in melee. Keep in mind that the Mobile Flourish lets you move your victim, and then move to within five feet of them, not using movement, which can be a great way to eek some extra mileage out of your turns. Also, you can move someone off a roof, possibly dropping them onto another enemy; just check that your DM is cool using the fall damage rules, and you'll have some fun.
It physically hurts me that Will's capstone wasn't the first level of Fathomless warlock. Undead warlock might be more thematic, but spoilers Will gets all of Davey Jones's tentacle powers at the end of the trilogy.

High Charisma, dashing, able to do a lot of damage with a single attack, starting off the combat, in charge of a group she started off hating. Sounds like Jesse Faden.

It’s a bit of both. The dm needs to give the players a dynamic battlefield before they can effectively interact with it. It’s hard to use clever environmental tactics in an open field or bare room.
