I always enjoy your Everglades trips. Also, thanks for including a clip of you casting into a tree, instead of just dropping dimes into tight spaces. Makes me feel better about my casting ability.
He probably did that on purpose so you wouldn't feel inadequate
Brings me back to when I was stationed at Homestead AFB, Homestead FL. You could catch ANYTHING from peacock and largemouth bass to tarpon and snook in the brackish canals
I live in Florida and look forward to your Everglade roaming videos. I love the combination of exploration and fishing. They inspire me to get in my Jeep and make it downstate. Thanks
What an insane place to fish! It truly is like fishing in a aquarium!
True we have fish everywhere
2:24 I saw 2 peacock bass in the water when you were showing with the polar glasses, they had 3 stripes on the side
I grew up in south Florida and loved fishing the canals. You never knew what you’d catch.
Nice job. Those “roadstops “ along that hwy are like a fishtank. And yep, those were little peacocks in the water for sure.
Those Nikkos float really well. Sometimes I just use a hook and fish topwater with it. Caught one of my biggest bass that way.
Thanks for bringing them to my attention.
It's always so much fun watching you fish, man...and you honestly simplify things to the level of every common fellow and gal who enjoy fishing the simple, ole fashioned way with normal gear everybody can get--without the 50 mile trips on power boats or $500.00 per day guides or what have you.
Once again thank you so much for getting us away from the real world on your adventure down in South Florida
I did the same kind of fishing in the Everglades and Miami area for about six months back in 2016. I started to catch peacock bass and started to take some of the people I was with to catch them.
Beautiful fish!! Florida is a hot destination for some great fishing action.
Let's go man!
Those were some beautiful fish, watch out for the gators down there. On your way back through the Jacksonville area, hit me up and I can take you out in the boat and possibly catch some Sheepshead, Drum, Red Bass, Trout, and Toad Fish...
Caught my first sheepshead the other day on a fiddler in Mayport
i drove straight back in 1 day to get back here for christmas stuff
@@CreekFishingAdventures I understand, offer still valid next year too
@@chud327 thanks so much
Watching from Buffalo NY I’m really enjoying the cool fish you are catching ! Have a merry Christmas!
What a blast! May the lord bless you with many more years of adventures John.
Amen! Keep the clips coming, John!
What an interesting fishing spot. Those fish were beautiful and had amazing colors. Great video!
Watching from chilly Indiana, looks like fun. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Keep them coming for all of our enjoyment.
Great video! Brings back memories I used to live in Miami and fish in that exact spot along Tamiami trail in Big Cypress. Watch out for water moccasin when walking along the banks.
If you ever wanna know where some “secret” spots are I grew up down there. My dad ran fishing charters for over 40yrs there. I can point you in the direction of some freshwater monsters. I’ve caught 4.5ft freshwater tarpon peacock bass you name it.
I used to keep Oscars in a 75-gallon aquarium, and they got so big they were scary to feed. Lol
Fun video! Thank you, and merry Christmas! 🎄
That place looks unbelievable!! So many fish 🐟 in there!!
It is nice to see you so excited, John. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
That was a great video. Amazing the spots you find and pull fish from. I'm glad you're having so much fun.
John thx for another great years of fishing videos, and all you stand for, merry Christmas and keep up the great work
John glad your having a great time keep em coming. I thought peacock assumed peacock bass had teeth maybe down south American thanks for your videos and most importantly your passion for the lord
Dude! You need to get on the other side of that guard rail. You are way too trusting of those people flying by. Love how excited you get on every catch. God Bless and Merry Christmas. Stay Safe!
About 3 of those Cychlids, seasoned and coated in corn meal and frying in the cast iron skillet would be wonderful!! White, flaky meat! They're delish!! Loved the video!
All true that my home town area 🎣
The colors and patterns on those fish were glorious.
Watching you catch fish on Christmas Eve mornin. Doesn’t get much better!
Thanks for reminding me how much fun it was fishing ditches in central and south Florida. Worst thing that ever happened to me was a friend taking me Snook and Red fishing around Everglade City and this Corps of Engineers “S” turn at Port of the Islands. Ruined any other kind of fishing if you’re into top water and throwing/skipping lures.
A unique place to fish. I’m not sure if I’m happy or sad. Florida’s eco system is wrecked. But it makes a great video. I look forward to more.
No it is not WRECKED. LOL Just too many yankee's using too much fertilizer on their lawns.
@@francismarion6400 Between the constrictors, iguanas, various other reptiles, South American and African fish, it’s been pretty much wrecked and will never be the same.
It is NOT wrecked, the ecosystem is amazing but there’s just some unwanted non native species
That looks like so much fun! Love fishing trips like this! Great video my friend.
Awesome video as always John! Have a great time on your trip! Stay safe too! Merry Christmas!
Wow bud that pawn is amazing. I love it when there’s a bunch a fish like that makes it fun 🤩
Brings me back!!
Slinging them like that with gramps on lake Bryant in Ocala
John An Amazing Day Of Fishing. Thanks For Taking Me Along
I Will Be Watching For The Next Episode
Another great fishing adventure. Thanks for sharing.
Like aways, music was great, the fishin' was great and the scripture was great! Ye'ah!
Fishing is even better in the summer. Hot with lots of bugs but the tropical fish like it better.
Great video John thanks, great to see you fishing and Merry Christmas.
Watching and thinking, "Man I'd like to be fishing too!!!" Good video! Merry Christmas!
I was in many of these exact spots recently. Many of the places are my go to fishing spots down there. Peacock bass seem to have spread through most of the canals.
I really miss fishing the Glades growing up. I need to get back home asap and catch some big snook! You reminded me I need to book a trip asap!
Drove from Orlando, through the Everglades ,& onto St Pete s beach & finally ended up in the keys awesome trip from uk
Man I LOVE those canals all along the roadways in south FL. My son caught an 8 lb bass in one last year on one of my singing trips. God bless.
I love your Florida videos. I’ve been looking forward to these!
Exploring new water and multispecies, that's my flavor! Super fun video!
I can't wait to go. Gonna be out there in like a week for 4 days. Going to be targeting LMB, Peacock, cichlid's, gar, snakehead and some light inshore and if we have time some keys fishing.
That last Oscar had amazing colors! My aquariums are not large enough for these fish. I do have Black Convicts, a smaller Cichlid, that are problably in there with the rest of them.
Too cold to do much fishing here in NJ so will just enjoy watching someone else get a few. Merry Christmas to you good sir!
Finally been waiting on these Florida vids!!!
Great video Merry Christmas John. May the new year be full of tight lines and blessings.
My old stomping grounds. Been 16 years since I left for Wisconsin. I used to work for Big Cypress National Preserve. Brings back memories.
I love these road side kind of fishing vids getting fish out of everywhere
Looks like an awesome trip and a great place to fish, I hope you and your family have a MERRY CHRISTMAS my friend.

Definitely a blast fishing down there! Something everyone should try at least once if they have the opportunity!
I almost skipped this video, now I'm glad I didn't. Great catches. Merry Christmas.
Nice video, last June I fished southwest Florida and caught tilapia and Mayans. So much fun.
Going here on Saturday, hopefully I can get some of this same luck. Great video man!
You Sir are a slayer and a pleasure to watch. These fish were very healthy
Great video John thanks,Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas hope you have a wonderful one. Love the content.
I am envious it seems like you just fish and have fun
Hey, good to see you made it. Hope you're having fun. Yep, I know exactly where you are. Yep, the majority of them will be Mayan Chichlids or Oscars, or Black Bass, Spots, or Bowfin and Gar. All of them are fun. Nice work, Peacock on a Helgramite. woohoo. Glad you're having fun down here. Oh and Merry Christmas and hopefully we all have a good New Year.
I can appreciate the aquarium fish. These Florida videos warn me up. Thanks for sharing brother. Enjoy

Loved your video. Wondered about fishing that area. Sorry, but had to laugh when your cast hit that tree because that was what I was thinking my cast would do.
I fished in that area just south of Ochopee and I had lots of fun catching lots of fish.

I was on the road for a while through the south. A Pocket Fisherman provide me a lot of food from stock ponds and flooded ditches.
What an awesome video! Wish I was there!
Thank you for another video, god bless and merry Christmas
I like that @ 7:18ish, using the good ole Jimmy Houston quick release system. Try barbless, catch just as many and easy to release them. Looks like fun, thanks for the video.
Now that would be fun to do. Thanks.
I like that you’re more a wing it fisherman you tuber, when a lot of those guys down south are more like look at me I get the biggest fish. Good stuff, i’ll go get a 6 pound peacock merry grimace
Those Mayan cichlid are amazing 👏 😍
Well that was cool John, happy to see you down in Florida, I would like to fish there, but I gotta get some new tires first, I'm about 175 - 200 miles north from were your at, I'm going fishing Christmas day, looking forward to more of your videos
I did this a few years back with a Buddy. Fished creeks next to Lake Okeechobee all the way to alligator ally then back north. Nothing but fun caught a ton of bass some freaking oscar bluegills a few snake head and 2 baby tarpon. And a bunch of gators
