@@calebpotter one of these days im gunna fish with him it will be. A epic video
Fishing starts at 4:30
Love Choko will be there next weekend. Try the rocky flats on the gulf side of the outer islands. On incoming tides the redfish feed there heavily. As a bonus you get large tarpon feeding along the beach on large top waters like Zara Spook XT
Awesome fishing guys.
I’ve fished Chokoloskee and Port of the Islands for about 20 years. We were targeting Snook, Redfish, Trout and Tarpon. Fishing Mir-o-Lures mostly. Never caught, heck never saw a Drum or a Grouper EVER! One of my favorite places on Earth. Catching big snook on a fly rod is as good as it gets in the Back Country for me. Thanks for the memories. I’m in central Georgia now. Being an adult and having to work sucks.
A lot now we have a camp in the big cypress but i started kayak fishing in Choko 2 years ago see quite a few Goliath’s and black drum
Heck of a trip right there!
Always producing bangers!! Sick vid and a bunch of great catches
thank you!
Absolutely incredible.
I’d love to see a subscriber tourney in Melbourne. Great content. So stoked to see what this channel has become. Let’s Go!
Very nice!
Awesome video. Like always.

thank you for watching!
Everglades is the coolest place on earth!
its really awesome!
That's how it is their. The fish group together in small areas. You have to grind until you find.
One of the best fishing channels
thank you!!
those blacks are just too cool! that area is really like traveling back in time.
absolutely
Bro we are catching 35-45 lb big nasties up here in Apalachicola right now right off the beaches with big dead shrimp! This time of year the big sows just cruise the beaches and love the shrimp. Them along with some big Reds and trout make it fun this time of year!😎
YES!!! Give me a rustic world again...!!!!!😢😅😊
Wow those are some huge black drum, geez.
22:57 BBD!!!
I’m Tojo there soon and I hope to catch my first redfish and hopefully some more snook and a goliath
I took a drink every time I heard “let’s go” I’m wasted. Enjoy the watching different spots. LETS GO
Let gooo
How come you didnt bring the Tarpon flats boat to the everglades?
Me excited - yayayayayayayay
Justin excited- 😶lol

That wouldve been cool if that Goliath took that cravalle! I grew up fishing those glades and it was fu. Catching those grouper!🤙🤙
I always wondered why Snook and Redfish were so much more colorful in the Everglades on the inside and when you went just on the outside (gulf side) the snook and Redfish were much more white. I was told it was the Tannic Acid from the Mangroves.
Justin, when do you use red head lures?
Looks like it was a good day fishing. Aways nice
Silver Sea Trout
That trout was like a hybrid lol
Awesome variety of fish. Question what size is your gheenoe?
15’4 highsider
Should do a gheenoe gang fish off down there one weekend. I’m down.
I’m in
Same
Lindo Robalo
Gheenoe Gang strong
what’s the rod and reel set up ?
That trout you were questioning is a grey trout
No lie, Racetrac does suck for their takeout food but that sandwich actually looked fire.
Might be wrong, but that might have been a Weakfish at ~6:30 ? Maybe not, sure looking like one
Where at in Florida are you ?
Where is this in the everglades ?
Do you think two guys could huck flies standing in a gheenoe?
So, quick question about the Goliath Grouper you caught. Are you supposed to take them out of the water? Because FWC is always watching. Be careful dude.
From FWC website… “Removing smaller goliath groupers from the water to remove hooks is not necessarily a bad practice, but this process must be done with care, using proper fish handling techniques, and the fish must be returned to the water as expeditiously as possible.”
How you gonna go to the everglades in spring and not catch giant tarpon lol.
The first trout was a sand trout
does the goat himself respond?
Where do you live?
first "trout" was a weakfish. No limits on them
Sorry guys…NOT a weakfish! A weakfish is a grey trout…and they have tons of tiny spots. That trout had none…look closely. Weakfish are usually caught in the mid Atlantic up to New England and their numbers are severely diminished from what they were 40-50 years ago. That was what is called a Sand Trout in Texas…and I’ve seen it called a White Trout in Alabama and other parts of the Gulf. Cheers 🍻
@@pnwpaddler those are all the same fish. Just people call it different names. Cynocion arenarius. I may have that spelling a bit off. No limit in florida.
Jim Meyer Respectfully, you are NOT correct. You are correct that was a Sand Trout or Cynoscion arenarius! However, a Grey Trout/Weakfish is Cynoscion regalis
Jim Meyer Just to be clear… Speckled Trout: Cynoscion nebulosus…Sand Trout: Cynoscion arenarius…Grey Trout/Weakfish: Cynoscion regalis. Please use google or your local fish ID book if you have any further questions. Oh and admitting being wrong isn’t a sin. It’s the right thing to do. 😂 Tight lines 🎣🍻🤙🏻
@@pnwpaddler you're right. I've always called it a weakfish because fish and game has them listed under weakfish in the regulations. I'll just call it a donkey trout now.
First
Hook up with me. Go there all the time.
Protected species like goliath grouper may never be held for camera poses.. Be nice if this BS wasn't on social inspiring others.
Fwc:
If you capture a goliath grouper, the fish must be immediately released alive, unharmed, and with proper fish handling techniques.*
Do not remove large goliath groupers from the water. The skeletal structure of a large goliath grouper cannot support its weight out of the water and if brought aboard a vessel or removed from the water, the fish may sustain fatal injuries.
FWC recommends anglers also keep smaller goliath groupers in the water when removing a hook.
If a goliath grouper shows signs of barotrauma, use a descending device or venting tool to help the fish return to depth.
You can photograph your catch if you follow the recommendations listed here and IF IT DOES NOT DELAY The release of the fish in any way.
*Exception only if the angler possesses the required recreational goliath harvest permit and tag, and the fish meets the harvest regulations.
