I can't believe there aren't more videos on Southern Cross canvas tents. What an incredible product range. I've got an ultimate trekker tent and awning set up for family travel. Love the quality of Aussie canvas

Yeh I’m the same, amazing products. Not sure if I mention it in the video but I have this one, the Ultimate Trekker and their camper trailer. I think the market is so flooded with cheap products now people don’t want to pay top dollar for top products 🤷‍♂️

We love our tent. It would be about 30 years old, got it secondhand about years about 22 years ago. I think it was even heavier canvas than they make they heaviest ones now, I think it's 12 oz. It is an 11 x 11. It has two windows which unzip from the inside, we have clear plastic window that zip on the outside to protect from rain. It's just so well made, it looks as good as it was when we first got it. You can sleep 4 easily, great headroom. The only downer is we live in South Australia, pegging in out in the Flinders Rangers can be nearly impossible. My husband made screw in pegs which makes it so much easier with a rechargeable drill. Easier to get out too. We are huge fans of Southern Cross too, we actually picked up a 7 X 5 trailer secondhand that someone had got Southern Cross to make for them, they apparently toured Tassie in it. It's just a simple canvas framed top which you can easily take off. It even has windows along both sides with flyscreen which unzip from the inside. Sometimes we sleep in it with stretchers, or take it with our tent and use it for our fridge, storage and kitchen. We have it set up so you can completely unzip the side and we can access the fridge and food boxes. The great thing is the trailer is so light. Excellent products!

I am ambit fan of simplicity. Great tent.

Any condensation issues with this one mate? Love the look of this tent. I love swags but I travel with my dog who needs to be kept inside (she's too curious) and this looks top notch, and that is folds flat for the roof rack!

None at all, although with swag or tent I never fully zip up the flaps. I love sleeping in a swag but it’s so good to be able to have room and stand up. It really doesn’t pack up much bigger than a swag and as you said, it’s a more convenient shape. After taking this on the last Tagalong tour I’ve convinced my mate to get one too.

Why not adopt a pure "naturist" lifestyle- you can come out in the open and stand up without the hassles of the trousers LOLLZZZ
