In this video we look at my new swag made by Southern Cross Canva!
I have to say it is extremely high quality and almost 100% completely made by Australian products, the mattress is a 50mm Australian made high density foam, the canvas itself is also Australian made wax canvas.

Did my apprenticeship at southern cross about 30 plus years ago,was an awesome place when it was run by Ted and Ian ,swag design has improved heaps, left after 10 years when I was having my first son,now I’m on Facebook looking up swag designs to make him and his son a new swag 🥰

Do u still work in the canvas industry mate? I think a cross between these style and the 23zero would be nice with like a sleeve for the hoop so u can leave them in there and be able to still roll it up

@@PUUMBA4x4 No we don't use swags but I like them and seem to pay attention to them when I see them in videos.
Very helpful, even all expensive ones l seem to have something that could have been done better, I keep looking for the swag where it has nothing that could have been done better
Maybe give them a call mate they can customise it to ur liking. I still love this swag. I actually hate taking the misses out with me because i have to swap it out with the kings big daddy lol

Hi mate, what do you mean the fly mesh zip only came on one side? Cheers
Only on the single not the double they only have a zip on the one side of the fly mesh so you can only get in and out from one side of the swag. I had a extra zip put in there so i can get in and out on both sides of the swag. The canvas doors you can unzip and open for airflow when camping in summer. Hope that helps mate

Ye mate its a king single…had it made bigger so when i got scar (dog with me)
Can i ask why your end poles are pink or red? Mine are a gold colour.
They are red jase and dont hold me to this but i think you might have a older one from one of the other poles suppliers most likely.

@@PUUMBA4x4 I bought mine about 5 years ago. Is your one less than a year old? I love the southern canvas swag. I’ve got a double and I’ve just last trip put it on a stretcher an the comfort is like night and day. I will never go back to the ground now. I’m thinking of buying a 900mm wide one. What size did you get for your custom swag?
@@hiluxjase6665 1150 i think i got this one so heaps of room for me and the scar dog. Could even fit me and my gf in there if i wanted to. What stretcher did u buy mate and do u rate it?
@@PUUMBA4x4 I have a 2022 oztrail xl size stretcher. It’s great. So solid, lightweight and comfortable.

its a shame about those plastic clips. i refuse to buy a swag with plastic clips we all know they break fairly quickly
To be honest I haven’t had a problem with the clips on all my swags but i see where ur coming from that if something was going to fail it would be plastic
