    Very well built unit. I bought the top slider today, going to return it for the 1200 draw and a fridge slide next to it. My 57L fridge was to tall in my canopy!

    Thanks for the insight. I’m looking at these for my new prado build on my channel. I will grab the one with the fridge tie down 👍 BCF sponsor this man!

    Thanks good review, I purchased 2 x of the fixed top and pick them up tomorrow. I was interested in how you fixed them to the floor. I have a Navara and will be drilling through the tub I guess.

    Random question, but is it possible to take the fridge slide off completely? I'm looking at putting some drawers in my ute tub, but I don't QUITE have enough room for two regular draws stacked on top of each other (I've got 495-500mm, two draws should be 550mm tall), but if I could shave off 30-50mm by removing the fridge slide, it might just work.

    Hey mate, does it annoy you that the draw doesn’t come all the way out, do you find that your having to dig in the back of the draw to grab out stuff at all because it doesn’t slide out all the way? And is there a way to make it slide out all the way?? Cheers man

    Thanks for the review. Could you line the larger drawer with some thin ply to achieve the extra effective height? Going from 160mm to 200mm would be a great advantage.

    • @TasmanianOffroadAdventures
      @TasmanianOffroadAdventures  3 года назад

      Yes mate you could however there is a lip on the drawer, so you would either have to it off or lose that space. With some clever packing it’s ok, you can stack things higher than the drawer.

    • @sky73x
      @sky73x 2 года назад

      Looks like you could also pop rivet some aluminium angle on the top lip/edge for some extra height. Just the lip to have to live with like you said. They seem to be the best feel and built drawer for the price before going custom and paying 3-4times as much.

    Mine rattled so bad I could not stand it anymore so took it out of my Prado, the fridge slide continually came loose, in my opinion not worth the money ..... I wish I had of just got the drawer without the fridge slide and cutting board ....... it now sits in my shed and I am looking at something better ......cheers

    Do you think it possible to chop the rear off? i need to make one of these about 780mm deep. I'm pretty handy but was concerned about how this will effect the runners. cheeres

    Cheers mate for the review, Im looking at a set of these for my 2003 hilux to fit in the back of the tub. How are they so fare if you still got them installed.
    Reason im looking at this brand is so i can fit my Fridge on top and to secure it better then just lose in the back and secure the Battery box down better and protect the Sola Regulator.

    Cheers for the video, I'll be taking the pros and cons on board.
    Overall I think it's a good contender. I went to a 4wd fabrication company for a quote on your basic twin stacked drawers with a fridge slide next to it, but I wanted it to be easily removable. They quoted me $4k and it would be 70ish kg. These xtm draws with a fridge slide are under $700 for the same thing and are 10kg lighter
    With that in mind, I'll probably end up buying the xtm's tbh. Are you still using them and are they holding up well?

    • @TasmanianOffroadAdventures
      @TasmanianOffroadAdventures  Год назад +1

      Hey Josh, yes they are still going well, no issues at all.

    I bought my first pair drawers (titan) from 4x4 supacentre brendale qld 👍. Had them for 4 years on my patrol and still sold them as is (second hand) for half the price I bought. Then I bought these xtm ones. I bouth the fridge slider with the kichen table and excessories. Yes they looked kooler/trendier than titan ones, thats why. But after I opened the box and tried to install it!! I am not impressed with the quality of the metal used on the xtm trawers, specially the mounting points and the brackets. Its is very disappointing to see how weak and cheap the metal is on these drawers. I know it slightly lighter but I don't think it's made to last long. Im not sure if it even safe to fill the fridge with drinks and food and hit the road. Im not a 100% on the mouting points to hold that much weight. Saying that, there might be people who likes them, so good for them. But for me its not worth the price I paid for. My personal opinion if you use your drawers on daily bases, if you keep your tools, have kids, groceries, you need to put titan on top of your list, secondly rough country drawers from autobarn is my next best drawers, the quality of the metal is much better than xtm. Good luck shopping.

      Mine are fully loaded with tools all the time and they have been very durable, still work as good as the day they went in.. Mounting system is strong and sturdy. I can’t comment on the Titan drawers as I haven’t seen them up close.

    I have the top slide out type, worse thing is I have a Ute, which is there is a lock at the front for the drawer but if you slide the top out you can have access inside the drawer 🤦‍♂️ useless for security, I use the chopping board for fishing, cutting bait

    I have the XTM drawer which I got as present over 12 months ago. The key snapped in the barrel recently and NO locksmith can get the barrel. Both BCF and Supercheap are both lacking in any support to even ask the distributor for any spares. So if your considering getting this product then consider an alternative brand as XTM has NO support for product failures.

      Kings one are very flimsy then at full extent and some of them don't have a good stopper so quite easy to pull the draw out accidentally, just got the same two as in the video and they are much better quality

    Deja vous? (saw the earlier edition too). The draws look good - liked your matter of fact approach to describing and showing them. I looked up bcf for the draws - they are substantially dearer than the prices you mentioned (non member price). Shits me that they play these stupid marketing pranks. I'm sure it detracts from their sales since someone that walks in sees the non member prices and runs like there is no tomorrow. And its all to get your email so they can spam you like 4wdsupacenter do. Morons the lot of them.

      @@TasmanianOffroadAdventures I reckon if they offered you an additional $10 off when you bought something in exchange for your email address, they'd retain much more credibility. As it stands, it wreaks of "rippoff".
