This is awesome and really useful! I’m about to get an L200, and was pretty set on the decked system, but now I’m not sure! I Need to factor in the canopy, and 2 labradors needing half the available boot space on top of any drawer system!!
Great video mate. Will really help people understand what they need and how to go about their project. Thanks for mentioning Douglass Motors #arblove ✌️
Very nice video. Thank-you for posting. If you're looking at the new kitchen drawer set up I'm under the impression it actually lowers your storage capacity. A small camping stove will fit very well in there. I prefer to cook away from the truck.
Yeah I kinda got that impression too and I’m pretty happy with my jam packed kitchen drawer we have. That’s another thing I don’t like doing is cooking near the truck especially oily foods
Great review, very very knowledgeable.. I can't wait to get my AMAROK in July/August.. and maybe I could pop around to you for more ideas and inspiration. (Obvious ex-military with the way you brief professionally) 😉👌
Hey mate, great video, loving the content, I was in my local ARB shop the other day (I live in Australia), I noticed at @13 minutes, you mentioned a further drop down slide from your top fridge slide, I asked about that question if I could do that because my partner is quite short and thought it might help her but they said I couldn’t because the amount of weight and leverage off the end, I hope you understand stand what I’m saying, hard to explain lol
Ah great buddy thank you for the advice! My wife is a short bugger too so it definitely is a challenge that I need to figure out somehow. I really love my drawers too and do t want to change them either. If you have or come up with any magical ideas I’m all ears. Appreciate taking the time to provide advice and feedback
@@MachinaDesigns unfortunately I haven’t come up with anything other then to build a full tray and canopy set up but for a decent one I’m looking at $30,000 AUD, suddenly carrying around a stool isn’t a bad idea just for the GF to be able to look in the fridge 😂
@@MachinaDesigns Could you just mount one of the drop-down fridge slides and use that on top? Not sure of the clearances since I have no canopy and the Decked setup to solve an immediate need... but WILL be getting the ARB's once I get a canopy. I just got my truck in July, so it's going to be a journey.
So have a look at dealers such as tuff trek, britpart, flatdog, Douglass motors to name a few. Some offer fitment some only deliver the units but a great project to get your teeth stuck into.
No point locking the drawer when it has the roller floor top on it for the fridge. All you have to do is slide the fridge out and you are into the drawer underneath. Also you can't fit a drop down slide on the roller top as the extra leverage by having the fridge so far out puts too much strain on the fit kit
@@MachinaDesigns all you can do is get the drawer that doesn't have the fridge slide on it. Also we have the kitchen in a set up at work and they are great. Only thing is they weigh 90kg
I have to disagree. Wood not being as durable yes but is repairable or even customisable. The ARB system is 90% metal construction and about 5% wood the remaining being plastic etc. The reality is not everyone can afford a drawer system so they make their own. Paving the way to creativity and ingenuity.
2 time owner of the Decked sys, Ford 150 and Tacoma Tacoma. The best system ever
A very well made video good sir. Lots of information to process. Cheers from Tennessee, USA.
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback sir.
Another great video mate!! Great comparison with the options available here in the UK!
Thanks my bru

Thank you buddy
Awesome review
Definitely good quality with the ARB
Drop down fridge slide will help not to mention a good dual battery setup 😉
Yeah you’re definitely not wrong there!
Hey mate great vid yeah look into clearview drop down fridge slide from Australia, even has a clip on bench option👌
Now that’s a great shout thank you
This is a great video
Thanks

Well picked up brother! You’re more than welcome buddy.
Aye bru! Good video! Doing a Ranger myself at the mo! What's the fridge you are running?
Nice man, it’s a 60L Bearmach fridge. Very affordable and pretty decent

I have thought about it but the price of the drop slides make my eyes bleed! 😂😂 I definitely need one though at some point
Where did find a dealer for your system buddy? Think its brilliant, do you have any contacts for the system? Thanks for your help
Are you after the ARB system or the others?
@@MachinaDesigns ARB system Thanks

What brand canopy is that
It’s nothing special to be honest just an Alpha canopy

Agreed that’s why I haven’t bothered really. You’re right and one of the reasons it hasn’t been done yet. What have you done to overcome this?

Ok thank you.
Or you could just get a step stool!
Definitely something we’ve got for the kids 😉
Now figure out how to put air conditioning in your sleeping quarters…..
😂😂😂
Decked is the only one with value. Probably much more durable. Wood components are for the stupids.
